The ink quality is good. However, for such an expensive cartridge, it's frustrating that the ink depletes as quickly as it does. I print maybe two color pages every two weeks and the ink depletes within approx. nine months.

Overpriced ink, like most HP products. Does not last a while, either.

Your prices keep increasing and increasing. Am currently looking for alternate supply source.

The yellow would not work. It froze up the printer. To use the printer I had to go buy one. You did send a replacement but I had to notify you & wait 2 weeks for the replacement to arrive. HAD I NOT WENT TO TOWN (25 MILES) & BOUGHT A 3 PACK THE PRINTER WOULD HAVE NOT BEEN USEABLE FOR ALMOST A MONTH!

I am on my 2nd cartridge in less than a year. Last one only printed out half of what I was promised. Yea, the quality looks good.

Hi there,
I am sorry that the cartridge isn't printing as much as you expected That sounds disappointing.
The advertised estimates of pages are based on a standards set by the industry. How each individual cartridge will perform for you is determined by your own usage. High-density prints (such as images and graphs) will use more ink, especially if the paper is quite absorbent and the air is warm and dry.
Here are some things that might help lower your ink costs:
- Make use of the printer's draft mode whenever possible, to help stretch out black and colored ink
- Use the black only setting when appropriate to save on colored ink
- Always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That gives it time to ‘park’ so that the cartridges are protected from excessive drying.
- Shutting the printer down between uses will save electricity and a few drops of ink here and there that are used to keep the inkjets cleared and ready for your next print job.
- Instant Ink lets you pay by the page. Check out the details at: instantink.com
If it appears that poor performance is due to a defect or you got a cartridge that was already low on ink, you are free to contact the seller about that.

Only reason I gave it one star was price, this is an expensive ink returned purchase.Went with a comparable print that requires cheaper hp ink.
Ineffective Posted
Unfortunately, I purchased these that replaced the same 962 ink because the original purchase was ineffective. I tried to replace the first purchase and was told since I opened the cartridge box Best Buy would not take them as a return. Well, how can I determine if they are effective unless I opened the container.

Best Buy has the worst customer service out of every retail store. I will never buy from them again. The phone service is a joke. You have no way to reach your local store for even the smallest issue.

Old cartridges sent - only 80% full. Yellow cartridge was inoperative. Had to buy a yellow from Amazon which was more expensive but much more reliable.

The shipping was very late around 15 minute before closing time is not worth paying the extra ship when shipping was very late

Every purchase was frustrating. The ink would only last about three months with very light usage. It was getting more expensive to replace cartridges than replacing the printer. I finally decided to trash this model and go with the Officejet. So far so good.

Box was unsealed, and the cartridges were not secured in a foil package like they usually are

Did not fit the printer that Best Buy had associated with

Never did receive the colored ink. Received black ink twice. Numerous emails contradicting each other about whether the colored ink was being shipped wasted a lot of my time.

Manager is rude and not open to hearing complaints regarding anything. Would not talk with me in person and would only communicate through associates. Unacceptable.

Ink doesn't work unless you have a membership with HP.

BAD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Eddie,
It appears you have strong feelings about the product. I'm very sorry you didn't receive superior results.
Did the cartridge work at all? If so, then the issue might be a clogged or dry cartridge. Error messages provide a lot of information for troubleshooting.
Did your printer say anything? If there is anything else HP can help you with, reach out at www.support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp/.

Got empty or dried… once open you can’t return it .. That’s Best Buy policy… waste of money
Posted
Hi,
While I cannot change the policy that Best Buy, our vendor, has set up, I can offer some suggestions. It’s a shame the cartridge missed your expectations. It is unlikely the cartridge would arrive empty. The dried cartridge also has remediation measures. A damp cloth applied to the printhead is a great start. I would double-check that the printer registered the cartridge in the system. If you have any other questions, contact us at www.support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp/.

To expensive. Runs out only after a few hundred pages.

Hi there Josiah,
I want to explain what happened and set expectations. Our cartridges have results based on an average. From user to user, these results will vary. I suspect this result is lower due to personal use. Did you print a bunch of pages at once? There could be a clog. Did you print anything with color? Photos use the greatest amount of ink.
