So frustrating. This printer has been giving error messages and behaves as though there is no paper in the tray when there is...but unfortunately the time lapsed to return this item due to family emergencies and being the primary care giver for multiple elderly family members. I'd be happy to buy a more expensive printer if only I could return this one. Regretting this purchase. Literally bought 2 months and 4 days ago and nothing but problems.

Piece of junk never worked properly and I was forced to buy only hp ink
This review is from HP - OfficeJet Pro 9125e Wireless AI-Enabled AiO Inkjet Printer w/ 3 Months of Instant Ink - White

This printer is horrible, constantly displays error messages, looses print jobs and disconnects itself frequently from the WIFI.

The printer was unable to install the ink cartridges, displaying the message 'Cartridges missing.' I exchanged it for a second one, but that one had a black screen.

It’s already broken, waiting in line to get it fixed.

My experience with this printer was very short. It's shockingly noisy and took a surprisingly long time to set up, but it worked fine for the first week. Then I made the mistake of trying to sign up for the Instant Ink subscription trial, which resulted in the printer getting stuck in an endless boot loop trying and failing to install a firmware update. Resetting the printer to factory defaults didn't stop it, and HP support gave me the runaround with an AI chat bot that lied about transferring me to a real support person, so I will be returning this printer and buying a different brand.

Purchased this printer to replace an old HP printer that had served me really well for nearly ten years. The replacement ink was getting difficult to find and it was starting to sound funny, so it felt like time to replace. Everyone told me not to go with HP again, but I've been HP for years with few issues, so I pushed the button on this printer. Wow, do I regret it. Setup was awful and continues to be a problem. I might be in the middle of a print and it says the connection was dropped, or it says the printer is offline when it was literally just printing. Constantly have to run back into the room to shut it off and restart it to get it to reconnect - and then send the document to print again. I tried customer service multiple times but it's all chat bots and canned solutions that never worked. And the app. Ugh. HP encourages all printing through the app. Which does beg the question: how safe is our data when everything we print is funneling through HP systems? Decided not to go with the ink plan and just purchase my ink as needed. But when the printer ran out of ink nearly right away, and I saw how much the replacement ink was - more than the printer cost - I signed up for the plan. I'm not sure how HP counts pages but it wasn't even a week before they started billing by the page because I supposedly had printed 300 pages already. Maybe so, with all those starts and stops due to the supposed connectivity issues. Oh, and did I mention the horrible grinding noises that emit from the machine anytime it's asked to do something? It sounds like it's eating itself alive. The only redeeming factor with this machine is that the ADF does duplex scanning/printing. But that feature alone isn't worth the printing costs and connection headaches, so I'm dumping this nearly brand new printer and going with another brand. It might be just perfect for someone with different printing needs and more tolerance for the chronic offline issues, but running this thing for just a little home hobby office isn't cost effective at all.

I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER HEWLETT-PACKARD PRODUCT EVER BECAUSE OF THEIR ILLEGAL PRACTICES!! I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF IF COULD! AVOID HEWLETT PACKARD PRINTERS AT ALL COST IF YOU WANT TO USE NON-HP INK BECAUSE HP INK IS TOTALLY OVERPRICED! FOR THE FIRST 9-10 MONTHS MY HP PRINTER ALLOWED ME TO USE NON-HP INK. HOWEVER, HP THEN BURIED SOMETHING IN AN AUTOMATIC UPDATE THAT PROHIBITS ME FROM USING NON-HP INK. TOTALLY LOCKS UP PRINTER AND MAKES UNUSABLE UNTIL YOUO INSTALL HP INK! I SPENT HOURS ON THE TELPHONE WITH AT LEAST FOUR CUSTOMER "SERVICE" AGENTS. THEY ALL REFUSED TO HELP FIX THE ISSUE, AND LIED TO ME AND TOLD ME HP DOES NOT DO ANYTHING TO PREVENT 3RDF-PARTY INK EVEN THOUGH PRINTER GIVES NOTICE: "The indicated cartridges have been blocked by the printer firmware because they contain a non-HP chip." HP HAS BEEN SUED OVER THIS AND LOST CLASS ACTIONS BUT CONTINUES THIS DESPICABLE AND ILLEGAL PRACTICE.

WOW after an hour online and on the phone asking for my 2 year printer refresh that i have been paying on for 3 years, and my portal says the printer is eligible for a refresh, the response from their support supervisors" "Please accept our apologies that the feature you request is not available at present to get a new printer under the HP Platinum subscription, the only way is for the HP All-In Plan." so the only way i can get a printer refresh is to join a new more expensive plan. they will of course allow me to stay on my current plan but will not honor the printer refresh. Any one else have this issue? want to join yet another class action lawsuit against HP? what happened to this company. here is the link to where they clearly say i get a refresh but they WILL NOT honor it. Buyer be VERY wary of this deceit. https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_6415901-6415947-16

Very disappointing printer. • Extremely noisy when printing • Very hard to set up and connect to Wi-Fi • Keeps disconnecting all the time • Paper jam happens frequently Overall, it’s unreliable and frustrating to use. I would not recommend this printer.

Purchased on 07/17/2024 not even a month into having it the problems started. It was past the point of being able to return it to Best Buy. Error messages, turn the printer off it turns itself right back on, constantly says out of paper when full of paper, Auto Shut Down does not work at all and makes a lot of noise when starting up. I have made multiple calls to HP Tech support and did all of the trouble shooting they said to do and nothing helps or fixes it. About 6 hours all together on the phone. I have been a loyal HP Customer for many years but no more.....They want to replace it with a refurbished printer. NO WAY!!!! It will probably do the same thing. I am not going through this again. I wish I would have read the other reviews before buying this one. I have bought many HP printer in the past without any problems at all. The 9125e is junk do not buy. I am very disappointed with Hewlett Packard!!!!! Once my $120.00 dollars in ink runs out it is going in the garbage.

This printer was not the quality expected. The controls are hard to see and are so small your finger is difficult to press the correct item. The cartridges are too expensive for this purchase to be cost effective. It was returned.

The product functions ok. The issue is with the subscription. One of the colored inks ran low; even with plenty of black ink(which is all I needed), the printer stopped working. To be able to print, I had to sign up for their monthly membership and wait for the ink to arrive. Which made me find other ways to get what I needed printed in a rush. I have the min. which is $1.99 a month, but it still isn't worth it. I have paid for it, but I don't use the printer that much, but when I need it. It has to work and can't be capped on the number of pages I can print before the subscription charges me even more. Unless you want to do a cost-benefit analysis on whether the subscription makes sense for your usage, don't buy this or any HP products.

We purchased this printer for our public library. I would give this item 0 stars if it was possible. From the first day in trying to use it, it flashed "system error" & "printer error" messages repeatedly. It made odd, loud, clunky noises when trying to operate & stalled while trying to print even one copy for a patron. We are VERY disappointed in this lemon printer. We contacted HP & they deemed it defective & are sending the library a refund. For my personal use, I have had an HP printer for many years & have never had an issue with it, but this one was a huge disappointment & it's so unfortunate, since it was to be used in our small community public library. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

I bought my first HP printer in 1990 (Laserjet III) for $1500, and every printer since then has been an HP. My last printer was 9-year old OfficeJet 8740 that still worked fine but was no longer software supported. The 9125e was a bit of a step down but was sufficient for my needs. After a routine setup, this printer would not do the main thing thing a printer should do... print. With plenty of paper, the printer indicated it was empty. Or when it printed, it would pull multiple sheets at a time. Then it dawned on me that unlike every other printer I've ever known, there is NO pop-up stopper in the paper tray to hold letter-size (8.5 x 11) paper in place. There are other tabs for obscure sized paper bit not for letter size. The paper stack slides backwards in the paper tray making the printer think it's empty. I googled this and it is a well-known issue. It never occurred to me to check this out before purchasing. I returned it and bought a Brother color laser for more money and features. I made the mistake of failing to observe 2 rules that usually serve me well... 1) Buy once, cry once... and 2) Buy nice or buy twice. As far as Best Buy was concerned, the online purchase was perfect, the order was easily picked up in the store, and the return / trade took less than 10 minutes.

I had nothing but error after error when I tired to install. I still can't register with HP to this day, gives me error after error. I tried using 3 different emails. They dumbed down the installation to the point that if you have a SINGLE PROBLEM, there is no answer as to what to do. Go to the HP website. but you can't, because if you are not registered, you can't get customer service. The printer paper tray is a very poor design. It's difficult to remove it to fill with paper -- because of the weight of the printer! I have to Lift the printer up at the bottom while I try to remove the tray. I feels chintzy and poorly made. the same goes for the printer cartridges. There is no "snap: to let you know that the cartridge is seated properly - you have to wiggle it in and hope it is seated. It's almost like the plastic they used is soft, and a little Malleable, which, I think, over time, will cause a failure of the cartidges as well. This should have take 15 minutes to install (& I am computer literate). It took two days to get the printer to print anything. then it printed a test sheet on every page I sent to the printer, or just plain did not recognize the printer. I got around it and finally got it to work -- but still cannot register on the HP website. I hate it. I hate the software which locks you into them counting the sheets you print, and then they was to ship you ink on a schedule. The problem with that, is it interferes with some software programs for photos and eliminates printer options that I KNOW I have, because sometimes you are not offered to "use the printer dialogue" to print. I hate it. Oh, and the printer is an HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e Wireless All-in-One Injet Printer with 3 Months of Instant Ink Included with HP +White (but I could not use that, becasue the hp website won't allow me to register). I'm going to return it.

Constantly giving connectivity errors. You cant use a direct printet cable because there is a sticker covering the port that says that you must use wifi. I currently have an error that says “printer setup incomplete”. Which points to the printer having some sort of cloud services and not being registered. Even though the printer somewhat “worked” previously. This is the most complicated printer setup that I’ve done and I’m an I.T. technician.

This printer is very noisy and frequently flashes error messages of being disconnected from the computer system and no longer able to scan. I hate this printer.

Frustrating machine. Poor connectivity. HP service over phone horrible. Screen says “WiFi connection is excellent” but 75% of my attempts to print will “fail”. Moved the printer to be right next to my router & Still doesn’t print consistently. Horrible horrible. HP keeps telling me everythings working fine. My cable company came out to check my router. Tech said HP has history of poor connectivity. I’m so frustrated. Our other printer was 15 years old and never did this. Wish it wouldn’t have died which then led me to this junk.
