Instructions to hook up. This printer are very poor and in accurate. You do not need to download the HP drivers for Bluetooth. The security system or help that using the QR code messed up my computer. It took several weeks to correct and remove unnecessary processes that they applied to the computer. Otherwise, the printer works fairly well. The printer is very noisy when operating.

The printer has the functionality we were looking for. However, I've had to engage with Geek Squad twice due to issues between the printer and desktop. I'm still not able to print from my phone or Ipad (which should not be an issue).

Not plug and play for sure. After scanning QR code for installation, directions online don’t correspond with printer screen and printer software doesn’t load. HP download page lists 9120e driver, not 9125e. Had to contact Geek Squad to get printer to work and they couldn’t get it to work. Geek squad took control of my computer and confirmed nothing was wrong with my equipment. Took printer back and got another, same problem. Took that one back to get yet another and kind of got that one working with Geek Squad help again. Loses WiFi connection. Every day have to turn off then turn on WiFi. Not happy about the whole situation. My old WiFi printer worked fine until the ink cartridge's went bad. Should have spent the $110 for the replacement cartridge even though it was a 10-year old printer. Kicking myself for tossing out the old printer before I got the new one working. Had I kept the old printer, I would return this new printer and repaired the old one. Another issue, the touchscreen on printer has such small keyboard icons that it is impossible not to fat finger. My wife needs fax for her work and can’t type in the phone numbers. Always tapping and deleting trying to key in correct numbers with no success. With technology supposedly getting better, why is everything getting harder to use? Never had problems like this with a printer.

Meh, I wish my old OJ8600 had not failed. This printer is louder and ties us to the internet. We purchased an instant ink subscription but found the printer routinely spits out extra blank pages.

I have mixed feelings about this printer. On the one hand I love that it can scan and print double-sided. That function works flawlessly for me so far. The problem is that the printer often disappears from the network or just stops working. When it stops working the screen doesn’t respond or it does show up on the network but when I print to it, the printer never prints. to fix it I have to physically unplug it from the wall and plug it back in. I had this happen several times during tax season and as I tried to prepare my taxes, it just added to the stress and frustration. Another weird thing about it is the paper tray, it’s just strange as the paper stays loose in it, doesn’t have anything to snug the paper from the front to the back and the tray is sloped toward the back. It seems to work but it’s weird and I always feel like it’s not in correctly. The tray is very flimsy, in fact the whole thing feels flimsy. Overall it’s okay and has some great features but I wouldn’t recommend it.

I bought this printer because someone else in our office had the same one and then we could use the same ink. But it has different ink, so that didn't work out. I have to connect it using a USB cable because it won't stay connected to wifi. It won't print at all with an empty ink cartridge, which is the thing I hate about it the worst. I will be more cautious buying hp printers in the future.

Replaced an older HP with this one, and found it exceedingly hard to connect and get all functions working. HP support is somewhat difficult to reach by phone, and the printer requires an app to be used. =/. This doesn’t appear to be a necessary feature…since it was never necessary before. Makes one feel that HP is tracking all our activity. Not real comfortable with that. As for the Free 3 months of Ink, we may never get this since the app wont open it, and keeps throwing out an error, and its support team claims its got to be “reset This would then be the 4th reset since we’ve owned this machine…and the 5th tech we’ve spoken to at HP… and it means having All devices in the same place, and likely another long session on the phone to get everything done. Maybe it’s not worth it since other reviews state HP sends the ink when HP wants to, not when the customer wants it. The ink runs quickly, and then the agents at HP will have you printing like crazy, “just to make sure”. It’s a little like a game after a while…”how much of your ink can we use to get you to buy more. =(. Nothing against Best Buy, but maybe this deal wasn’t the smartest one.

Prints relatively fast. Much better on ink use than prior HP printer. I needed a decent scanner/copy feature. This one was not as good as expected. Slow to copy, input tray less than expected unless you're looking for a quick jam, jams easily, doesn't want to scan smaller pages double sided AT ALL...mediocre machine at best. Tried to get customer service help when one of my scanned in documents just up and disappeared when I went to save it - they were TERRIBLE and had no idea how to help.

I have owned a HP printer for over 40 years. I have always loved their products up until now. I purchased this 9120 e and was very frustrated because I could not get it to connect to my phone. I'll call customer service numerous of times and they did try to help me but it always ended with something was wrong on my end. One representative said it was my internet and the other one trying to tell me it was my phone service. A long story short I finally was able to speak with someone that actually helped me to connect my phone to the printer which they had to put an email on the end of the printer name. Once I had that fix I immediately received a crucial printer error stating it was something wrong with the printer. I called back and they had to transfer me to someone else and another department which did help me resolve the problem. I asked why am I having so many problems with this printer and he informed me that it was their latest printer and they are working out the bugs. Right now the printer is working as expected if I have any more issues I will return it.

It was very hard for me to set up my scanner because my WiFi didn’t easily connect and I had to use a cable. It takes a long time for the printer to print when I request it from my HP desktop computer. Maybe that is because it is not through the WIFI. I have a valid WIFI connection through Spectrum, so I don’t know what the problem is. I will try to call Geek Squad for this issue. The system should provide me with a more user friendly method of connecting WI FI, since it is apparently important for scanning capability. The quality of print is very good, so basically it is working for me.

I had an "envy" printer for years. (which I loved) This one has many problems. Construction - the paper tray is extremely tight, you have to fight it every time you load paper. Noisy - clank and banging when it is setting up. Instant ink program - maybe it is me but it is hard to understand the program. (written by attorneys not instructors.) I canceled the ink program. After two months I was sent an email and said that I printed more than 50 pages, I owed them $2.50, and they were shutting down my ink cartridges, I don't know how they do that) I had to resign into the ink program. They now have complete control of my printing; both printed pages and ink supply. BIG BROTHER

Does not always work. Will have to reset over and over for about an hour. The printer was cheap. Thinking about throwing away or selling just to buy a different one for less money than it costs to replace the ink. Ink for the printer is about $100. You can find this same printer online for $70. Might as well keep buying it and then selling it to make a few bucks.....What a horrible way to ruin the planet...

I waited to do a review because I more concerned with longevity. I glad to say it is still producing and I enjoy its many tools. What I don't like is the racket it makes when you turn it on and when printing, I thought it was about to fall apart. The next problem is replacing the ink. Oh I forgot I had to figure out what ink to buy because this style printer isn't sold anymore. That's why I returned the first one because I couldn't get the ink to stay inserted. Finally, I don't like that the only ink I can use in HP, and it is expensive. So needless to say, I will probably purchase another brand when this printer goes out.

Copy, scan and print is adequate, much nosier than my previous (10 year old) printer. Setup was somewhat complicated (thought things were supposed to get simpler)

Purchased this printer as a replacement for my failing HP Officejet pro 8600 (a decade old). $210 on sale. I consider it equal in capability to the 8600. Unknown quantity of ink included. One month in, no problems (but I'm not a heavy user). The big decision then is ink cost. Bought HP936 4-pack at the same time...$146, still unopened. That's a lot of money for ink. I chose NO to the instant ink option. Too many unknowns. Bought this unit mainly on my good experience with the 8600.

The main problem with this printer is the ink. HP only gives enough ink to get the printer to print a few pages. You have to buy more ink right away—btw, the cartridges cost almost as much as the printer itself. I’m thinking I should have tried the fill from bottles printer instead. I have had three other office jet HP printers so it is not a surprise about the cartridges, but it would be nice if HP didn’t suck the money out of their consumers.

Once set up w geek squad chat help it seems to work well. Except the cord attached to the back of the printer is wobbly and keeps falling off whenever slightly touched or moved!….. It will not plug in securely. From other reviews this printer we got is not the only printer of this model to have this problem. Will call GS and/or HP to see if there is a fix for this.

My boyfriend has an older model and it prints okay. Not happy with the fact that it will stop printing if you do not have the HP Instant Ink subscription. It also doesn't like heavier paper. Color prints will have lines. Makes loud noises. Not as happy with this model printer as I should.

This printer has a very good color print but would not connect to my phone for printing. The S/N was invalid and good luck contacting someone to get support. After trying three HP printers I went with a different brand and now I solved the problem.

This printer is fast and works well with WiFi without needing additional cords connected.
