It's pretty much the best price per processing power (for new laptops online). I got it for $300 off on a black Friday sale. It goes on a $250 off sale relatively frequently, so I'd recommend waiting for that to happen if it isn't the case already. I use it for gaming, video editing, and school; it holds up just fine. Pros: -Cheaper than any other 3050 Ti, i7-12650H machine I've seen online -MediaTek MT7921 gets me maximum 300mb/s receive 20mb/s send wifi, around 50 feet of Bluetooth range with my Sony headphones -Has a good set of ports (in my opinion) -Decent webcam, mic, and speakers -Comes with OMEN Gaming Hub (which can clear up RAM as well as storage) Cons: -The cooling system gets super super loud under load, to the point where it's louder than the speakers, so you need headphones to do any real gaming -Battery life of only 1-3 hours (depending on what you're doing) -Certainly a tad flimsy; I can press down on the keyboard If you looking for something for professional film/video editing, you'll probably want an external ssd and a fancy monitor. I'll certainly do that down the road, and maybe replace the memory with 32gb as well.

I was looking for a replacement for my old laptop and wanted something that the power (Intel Core i7-12650H - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti - 512GB SSD) to partially future proof / extend the useable life of this laptop. I like the monitor, it's crystal clear. I haven't played any games on it yet. I made the purchased based on the processor, separate graphics processor and the ability to upgrade RAM and SSD. Some people may not like the weight of this laptop, but it weighs less than my old laptop. I believe the weight over some other laptops are the components to help with heat dissipation. Not certain if it is something I am doing or not doing or just my unit, but I don't get the battery longevity that HP states. Pro: A feature I like about this laptop is both the RAM and SSD can easily be upgraded. Con: Backlight keyboard is either on or off; wish it was variable. Also, would like to swap the function keys: instead of having to press FN + keyboard light. I would prefer using the FN + F4 key.

this laptop is amazing. ive been struggling to find an affordable gaming laptop that can handle both gaming and everyday tasks, and this one is a perfect fit. it came with 512gb storage and 16gb storage ram, which i think are good specs of this laptop. playing games like overwatch 2 and valorant on this laptop gave me really good experiences. not to mention, the quality looks amazing. if youre struggling to find a gaming laptop, i highly recommend this one. I bought it for $849.99, taking advantage of a $250 discount during a sale. overalI, i personally think this laptop is exceptional. I havent encountered any issues since I bought it, and im looking forward to it to continue performing flawlessly in the future.

Overall, this is a good laptop. It’s fast and handles anything I throw at it. Its specs are also great, especially for its price. Its only cons are its low quality trackpad and its battery. The trackpad isn’t that good and sometimes lags behind, though is very useable and a mouse can be used instead anyways. Coming from a desktop user, the laptop battery isn't too good. Using around 500 MB (on Arch Linux) the battery can last around 3 hours. I haven’t traveled around with it yet but I got this laptop for college and am worried it wouldn’t last a full day without charging so I’ll probably need to carry the charger around. Even with its faults, I would recommend this laptop given its cheap price for its high specs.

Fast and responsive. Plays games with high FPS such as Overwatch 2, Elden Ring, and so many more! i7 handles everyday tasks very well. The screen is really fast but glare can be an issue. Plug in an external monitor and you got a great setup!

I recently purchased this laptop and I’m thoroughly impressed. The sleek design caught my attention, and the performance has exceeded my expectations. The fast processor ensures smooth multitasking, and the vibrant display brings my work and entertainment to life. The battery life is decent, lasting me a full workday on a single charge. Overall, a fantastic investment for anyone seeking a powerful and stylish laptop.

Love it! Got it when it was on sale. Bought it two Runs very smoothly and quickly when downloading and playing games, and is also very beneficial and useful for other uses apart from gaming! This is my day-to-day laptop.

Very good starter PC with the right setup. Maximizing the amount of fps you get from this PC is very easy and I can run Valorant at 300 fps and Destiny at 90 on average. For the price it is hard to beat in the current market.

Runs any game I throw at it easily, keyboard has a soft and cushiony solid feel, and look sleek and simple. I only advise you spend a little extra money on the 200 nits display, because the 150 nits screen is not very bright at ALL. As for the screen wobble there is a lot of it, but it’s never an issue when gaming… except when someone sits and moves on the same table as you. Alsooo if you’re particular about it, the plastic is a fingerprint magnet

Got this on sale and I have to say you can’t beat this for the money. Can play any modern game at an enjoyable performance level. Screen leaves some to be desired; you will want to use a monitor for publishing videos/photos. Keyboard is especially nice; no flexing or bending like some other computers in this price range.

The laptop overall is great! Super fast and has no real issues. However, it only gets 4 stars from me because BestBuy promoted this incorrectly. They say on the description and specs that is 16gb ram in a single stick with an open ram space for adding on. However, it was truly 2x8gb sticks in the laptop. It may not seem like a big deal but, to upgrade the RAM, it makes a huge difference between having to buy 2x32GB sticks vs 1x32GB stick or even just 1x16gb to make it 32 total. I was pretty upset by this after doing extensive research and reading of the specs to make sure I got what I wanted.

I am an architect student and I needed a better laptop to run programs. The battery life is good, downloads programs fast and runs/renders pretty fast too. My only complaint is that when I shut my laptop sometimes it doesn’t turn off so it’ll be dead when I open it (you have to actually put it to sleep or shut it off to save battery life), and most times when I close it my internet website tabs are all closed. I have to go back and reopen them, or go back and reopen programs I was using. I’m used to Apple and everything always staying open, so I’m not sure if it’s a Windows thing or if my laptop is a little weird…

This computer is pretty awesome! I was not expecting the hard drive to be a top of the line type. The processor is extremely quick. I was able to set the graphics card to run primarily and and whisper mode. Everything stays reasonably cool when on normally use. This was and extremely awesome deal! Remember to go into windows settings and enable gaming mode and also turn on hardware accelerated GPU scheduling. Use the omen gaming hub and go to quiet settings for performance control, and set fan speed to auto if not already set. Download GeForce experience and set it to whisper mode and battery saving. Go to NVIDIA graphic settings and run things off the graphics card and enable developer options. Set Windows power mode to best performance. Run the Intel graphics command center. Download and run Western Digital drive utilities. I also installed Primocache and just ran 4 gigs on that program. The hard drive was showing a incredible ridiculous speed on crystal disk mark seven. My only complaint is the cooling system is probably not the best based on the fan setup as in my pictures. But, I was not expecting top tier gaming computer performance and ,my temperatures Hoover around a respectable 120 degrees usually.

This thing has no problem running my FPS to sandbox games. Battery doesn’t last long so it stays plugged in, but I feel like that’s to be expected when playing games on a laptop.

Great over all computer; did have to buy a fan for it to sit on due to how hot it get, but I do use it for gaming, so it’s expected. Would purchase again.

The HP Victus came within the expected time frame in new condition. It booted up right away and started downloading Windows updates as soon as it gained access to my network (through an Ethernet cable attached to my router). It did not take long to install the updates. The screen is vivid, and the sound is definitely more than adequate for watching videos, streaming content, and listening to podcasts. The keyboard (which has a backlight upon typing) is comfortable to type on, and it has its own numeric keypad for easy insertion of numbers and for quick tabulations. It has a good number of USB ports, as well as one USB-C port (no Thunderbolt), and its own Ethernet port, which is a plus in my opinion. For a high-powered laptop with a graphics card, the battery lasts fairly long (a number of hours), plus it recharges relatively quickly thanks to HP's Quick Charge (which charges it from 0 to 50% in about 45 minutes, then slows the charging down to a more reasonable pace, but still is quicker than one might expect from a larger battery, high[powered laptop).

Been using this since two years now. Never had any issue with it. The specifications this laptop provides at this price point are great. Although the weight is on the higher side but its the same scenario with all the other gaming laptops.

This is my first gaming laptop. So far I have no issue with it after a year or so being bought. During gaming battery will last about 30 minutes from full charge. If you don’t plug it in while playing, your game will be slowed drastically.
