I am very disappointed with this dive case. Huge problems with stitching the footage. I bought it to shoot my jet ski rides and unfortunately, the entire 30-minute footage was completely useless due to stitching issues. Also once the water touches the lens it does not get off easily until you really wipe it. In comparison, water gets off very easily from Gopro screens due to hydrophobic coating. Additionally, footage looks really odd even when it is dry. It has very thick glass lenses which make the footage look bad.

Bought this case to accompany my new x4 camera, use it for ski, bike, foil, etc.. Spent a week down in FL keys, attempted to assemble this item morning of our scuba day, was extremely surprised to find out it had defective hardware included, and was unable to use. The specific issue was the mounting thumb screw and cap nut that affix the mounting adapter to the case itself. Wouldn't thread, I inspected it closer and found the threads were perfectly fine on the screw, and if threading directly onto the nut it was smooth and threaded fully. Established that the distance to start threads just a bit too short for the application, I could get it started on just the adapter piece, but it clearly pinched the fingers, and there was absolutely no way to start it once the case fingers were already inserted. Contacted insta360, provided video and photos, to which they replied with something along the lines of looks fine, tried to explain to me how to thread machine hardware. . The video I sent was very detailed, even showing how loosening the threads with just the adapter caused a visual snap of the plastic fingers once unthreaded . . I was disappointed about the whole experience, I'm sure they just ordered these from a vendor, and sending me correct screw in slightly longer length might've solved the problem, but since all I got is mansplained. . I just promptly returned the case to best buy, stating it was defective. I guess I'll buy again next season before scuba trip.. hopefully this gets sorted out.

The worst Best Buy experience gets lumped into my experience with this dive case. I received a fraudulent case. The logo on the case is incorrect (it’s supposed to have the insta360 logo) and the buttons are incorrect which resulted in issues using the buttons while diving and rusting after the first use. I called Best Buy the moment I got back from my dive holiday to report this. I was disconnected from the first rep I spoke to. The second rep was combative; felt he needed to take the time to explain to me that I did not in fact receive a fraudulent product and didn’t offer the options the first gave. The manager I spoke to when I asked for escalation called me a liar — telling I didn’t speak to a rep prior the the phone call. Between my experience with ordering an insta360 product and receiving some generic noninsta 360 version of it, which in effect puts my 500 dollar camera investment at risk, and my experience with the reps, I’m absolutely disappointed.

Works well. Easy to use and it felt safe to put the insta 360 x4 inside. One draw back is that I haven't found out how to hit the start and stop record button with the case on Only options are the 2 side buttons.

If you’re planning to take the Insta360 X4 beneath the waves, the official dive case is absolutely the way to go. It feels like strapping armor onto your camera, sleek, solid, and confidence inspiring. The clarity through the lens dome is impressive; colors pop vividly, and distortion is minimal, even when you’re weaving between reef channels or chasing sunlight at depth. Honestly, it feels like the case was built to disappear once you hit the water, your footage just looks right. Compared to the X3 dive case, the X4 version feels more refined. The locking mechanism is smoother, and the seals inspire confidence rather than paranoia. It’s as if Insta360 took notes from the X3 and polished up the weak spots. That said, it does have one slight annoyance: the bulk. The case isn’t exactly pocket friendly, and lugging it around on land feels clunkier than the old X3 housing. But once you’re underwater, that gripe mostly vanishes. All told, the Insta360 X4 dive case is like a passport to a whole new dimension of shooting. If you’re serious about underwater footage, it’s a no brainer. Minor heft aside, it’s built for adventure and delivers on its promise.

I'm on my third Insta360 X4 Invisible Dive Case, and it's been nothing but a frustrating, expensive mistake. This case is absurdly sensitive, one minor scratch, and your footage is ruined because it shows up in every single video. For something meant for an action camera, it's unbelievably fragile. As a freediver, I regret ever buying an Insta360 because, without a reliable dive case, the camera is useless to me. To make matters worse, when one of my cases started leaking, customer service told me to return my camera instead of addressing the faulty case, completely nonsensical. I've now lost two cases to scratches and one to flooding, and after dealing with their poor support, I've had enough. Save yourself the frustration, do not buy an Insta360. Go with DJI or the tried-and-true GoPro instead

The Insta360 Dive Case is easy to use and protects your equipment UNDERWATER down to 50m. This is NOT what you would use in water sports because water droplets remain on the case. Lens remains clear when kept underwater. (That is why it is called a Dive Case.

Case works pretty good and kept the water out while we were snorkeling. The material it’s made out of is scratched easily. Not worth 100.00 price point in my honest opinion.

Great product, love using it to go diving in the ocean. Just wish there was a way to get the chips out of the plastic case protecting the lenses.

Excellent case. Does a great job sticking the video together and the buttons on the exterior make it pretty simple to start/stop recording or switching modes. Pretty lightweight and easy to travel with I would just keep it in the microfiber case to protect the large lenses on the case

I love this product! The Insta360 X4 Invisible Dive Case is a game-changer for underwater filming. It fits perfectly with my X4 and gives me peace of mind knowing the camera is fully protected during dives. The image quality underwater is amazing — crystal clear with no distortion. The case is designed so well that the selfie stick remains invisible, even when filming underwater. I was really impressed with how easy it is to use and how secure it feels, even at deeper depths. If you love diving, snorkeling, or filming water sports, this dive case is a must-have. It truly unlocks the full potential of the X4 in underwater environments. Highly recommended!

I bought this but it does not fit my Insta360 x4 camera. Returned it after watching videos on how to install and even having others try. I gave it a two because it is made well and it seems durable enough.

I would not buy anything from Insta360 ever again. I bought the X4 camera and a bunch of accessories. Some items were purchased on Amazon and Best Buy and I bought some directly from Insta360 website. I assume they have the same return policy as Amazon and Best Buy but it is only 14 days and after three weeks. I decided one out of the many accessories I purchased was not good and tried to return it and they denied the return. Now everything is going back that I purchased from Best Buy and from Amazon and I’ll take the loss on the stuff I purchased directly. Everybody has extended returns for the holidays, except Insta360. Garbage company!! Stay away.

Nice to have for underwater shots but expensive for its purpose

Not visible through camera at all. Great for videos under water

it’s really a great case, and you would not need to look for any further protection when going into the ocean. the pictures or video look very distorted when you take the video with this case on when not in ocean or underwater
