Used this to connect to a Windows Tablet. Works nicely to connect direct to Ethernet . Can handle keyboard & mouse as well. Only thing is they don't include a 5Volt supply to power. Luckily I had one that fit from another product..

Very easy to use. Although it is an unknown brand, it does not disappoint. Ethernet and USB are easy and reliable.

Other than having to add a software driver and then update the driver online, the product works as promised. It responds properly and quickly on my MacBook Pro. It works with Mac, Windows and even Chrome.

I purchased this so that I could have a hard wired Ethernet cord attached to my wireless all in one desktop. It does the trick and also has a few USB3 ports on it.

Perfect accessory for my Surface Pro 3. Gives me the option for Ethernet while also allowing additional USB ports. For the price, it can't be beat!

While this port does function fine like it is, and I really like using a single port for my laptop that has no Ethernet and is short of USB ports, if you want to use an input such as an external HD, you'll need to add a power source. Would have been nice to know when purchased. Would have been nicer if included in purchase price.

Getting a new computer that does not have a Ethernet connection and I prefer a land line over wireless. This fit the bill.

The laptop's built-in 100-Mbps Ethernet was getting about 92-ish Mbps according to Speedtest. This unit gives me over 135 Mbps! (This is my Internet connection. Upload speeds didn't change, as they're being throttled to less than 6 Mbps by the ISP. I haven't fully tested the LAN speeds, but I expect to see impressive results.) I chose this because of the 3-port USB 3.0 hub, which has external hard drives connected. It does come with a driver CD, but it's not necessary if you keep your OS up-to-date. The only reason for the 4-star rating instead of full 5 stars is that it supports a power adapter for the USB hub functionality, but didn't come with one -- the adapter has to be purchased separately. Personally, I would rather have the adapter included, and have drivers available on the website for those few who might need it. (Though, realistically, if you have Gigabit Ethernet and USB 3.0, chances are pretty high you also have a current OS.)

MBPenguin, I greatly value your feedback on the JUH470. Supporting up to 1 gigabyte speeds along with USB ports for gadgets make it a highly sought out adapter - thanks for the review!
Cordially,

Provides services promised. Great for Ethernet laptop connectivity when your machine does not have a native rj45 port. The USB ports are a plus but they won’t support powering down stream devices without adding an external power supply.

The ethernet adapter is easy to install as long as you follow the directions (i.e., don't plug it in before you install drivers). Speed is good, so no issues, unlike its j5 cousin, USB to HDMI adapter, which does not work with USB docking station drivers.

Very nice to have on any pc with limited usb ports you can also use it as a charging hub for usb devices. Works great easy to install just install soft ware driver plug it in and your ready. Would be better with an AC adapter.

Works with WinPro10 without additional drivers and the on board Usb3.0 port on the computer. USB to Ethernet Link speed 1000/1000 (Mbps) Confirmed that Flash drives 2.0/3.0 works as expected. I have not tried using a harddrive USB2.0 but I assume a power adapter for the J5 Port will be needed. The only fault I give it was the cable on the J5 Create was very very short for my needs. I will NOW need to get a longer USB AtoA cable in order for the J5 to lay flat. Its just hanging from behind my desktop.
