These are an all in one premium package. Not only do you get the hearing aids and charging case, you get months worth of various replacement rubber domes, a cleaning kit, replacement filters and years worth of “professional virtual hearing care from our Audiology Team”. These hearing aids are pretty discreet, with a small main unit and tiny earbud with a near invisible wire. They last well over a day on a charge, the case can provide additional charges without needing to be plugged up for a couple charges and they have multiple levels of customization to them. However, IF you want to take advantage of the app or their Bluetooth features, you must have a newer cell phone. An iPhone on iOS 14 or newer or an Android phone on version 12, but preferably 13 or newer. On Android 12 it technically can work, but there is a known issue and you could have constant pairing issues like I did. Now, with the issues they do have custom service, but the quick service will just point you to their website with common answers. If you need further service it may take a couple days for their response. Even after going through their steps on the site I still had issues and once I finally received a call, it were a very specific order to get it to work and most times after that, it was only connecting to one ear and required going through the steps again to work. Again, they say this is a known issue with Android 12 and recommend being on a newer device that uses 13. Despite that technical issue, you can still use the hearing aids without the app. You simply put them in and rest the unit behind the ear. It gives a few seconds before cutting on, but that helps reduce the common issue of screeching when putting them on. However, that timer is pretty quick, although, despite most of the time I was still putting them in, I never had an issue with screeching. Once you have them on, you may have to try a couple different rubber domes till you find the one that fits you best. I really did like that they come with multiple options and sizes. Once they are in, simply pressing the button on the right ear turns up the volume, pushing it on the left ear reduces volume. If you hold the button for a couple seconds it will cycle to one of the four listening programs of All-Around, Restaurant, Music and Outdoor. Each has a slight variation in the tones they pick up, like restaurant focuses more on mid tone voices and outdoor helps reduce wind noise. If you want even more customization, you have to do it through the app. There you can change the noise filter and customize the bass, middle and treble to your liking. For the most part they absolutely helped improve the sound around me. I was hearing things I didn’t even realize were making a noise. However, the sound always had a strange effect to it, like you were listening through a tube. You know, like taking the tube from a roll of paper towels and holding it up to your ear. At first I figured it was the earbud not sitting right in my ear, so I tried different domes, which I did find one that made the sound better for me, but I could hear that effect even more. Through the app you can request for assistance from the “Care Team”, in which you can schedule an appointment. However, it is practically like scheduling a real Doctor’s appointment and it will be about 2 weeks out. Then, they aren’t going to contact you, it is up to you to connect to a Zoom call through your PC or phone. Compared to another set of hearing aids I have used, I felt that these were also missing a bit of an extension on that actual ear piece. I felt like I couldn’t get them far enough in my ear as the only thing I had left to try to push on was the flexible wire. Getting them out is easy enough because you just pull the wire. However, I always felt like they were just barely in my ear canal. If they do fit in good enough for you, but they feel like they come out to easy, it does come with some small “sports locks” that are like plastic flexible toothpick size pieces that you can clamp to the earbud and flex inside the ear, adding a little bit of tension so they don’t call out so easily. Like the hearing aids in general, they take some getting used to having something in your ear. Overall, these hearing aids work and they come with an entire package to help you maintain them along with the added service that might be available all the time, but not readily available for more than an automated response till later. I haven’t been to a doctor to see how much something like this might run on insurance, but I feel like at this price point, you might be somewhat better off going through your insurance for local support. If you don’t qualify for something like that, then these might be the next best thing.

Thank you so much for your review and valuable feedback! You are correct about the connectivity issues related to Android OS 12. This is a known issue with that version of the operating system, it affects multiple hearing aid models and manufacturers, and we are unable to provide a fix for it. The good news is that upgrading to Android OS 13 or later should resolve the problem. We also want to clarify that all purchases of Enhance Select hearing aids from Best Buy include our "Premium" package of 3 years of follow-up Audiology Team care, 3 years of warranty, and loss & damage protection. Also, if you haven’t already, we recommend meeting with one of our providers and discussing the fit of your hearing aids. Contact us at (800) 854-2772. I'm not sure if I received a defective unit or it's a software problem. Reviewing other units online I think I may have a defective unit. But the quality of sound is great. My grandmother was diagnosed with sensorineural hearing loss so we frequently have hearing aids from our insurance. Most of the time they are just ok, nothing worth touting about. We were told these were thousands of dollars and should be happy. And for a while it was. Then we received these guys, and immediately my grandmother noticed a difference. The sound of birds were "how she remembered it." She was very happy with it out of the box. Some complaints of the box being too big, but it acts as a portable battery so the unit has extra charges, and it charges very rapidly. We are very happy about that. My biggest problem was all the features were supposed to be connected to the iphone. We tried iphone, we tried ipad, and we just could not get this to connect to the unit. I have screen shots that these were not connecting. I have waited to connect to the service reps and they gave us some tips and ultimately we were told they were going to replace it. My grandmother says she won't use the features anyway, so we just kept it. I wish the connecting would just work out of the box, but as long as she's happy. Her words "these are the best I've ever used" and we've gone through about 5 by now. Finally the other nice thing about this are the included different sizes of the buds and spares. There's also a sizing card, which helps your loved ones determine which is the best size. Overall, I would still recommend this. I think I just happened to receive a unit that wouldn't connect, but for the job that it does, it does really well so we'll still be keeping them.

I ordered these Jabra Enhance Select 300 (“Enhance 300’s”) hearing aids for my mother, she has been experiencing gradual hearing loss over the years. She finally relented about a year and a half ago and have been using the Jabra Pro 10 hearing aids purchased at a large warehouse club; they have been working well for the most part. While she can hear the TV okay, she still has difficulty hearing other people and in outside environments where there may be background noise. I was excited have her try these Jabra Enhance 300’s out, hoping the technology has improved over the years. Getting the Enhance 300’s setup was fairly simple. I downloaded the Jabra app and followed the prompts that walked me through each step. Index cards explaining the process was also included. I was able to have the hearing aids connected to her phone in minutes. My mom liked that the new case can also keep her hearing aid charged (3 full charges). If she was to go on a short trip, she can just take the case with her. Since my Mom has used Jabra hearing aids before, the transition from her current hearing aids to the Enhance 300’s was pretty much seamless. Several sizes of the domes are included, finding the right one to fit her ear was simple. The dome and wax filter should be changed monthly. Should you run out of these, an upkeep kit which includes a year’s worth of wax filters and domes and cleaning accessories is available for $39 on Jabra’s website. The Enhance 300 looked and felt pretty much like her Pro 10’s. One major difference she noted is that the receiver on the Enhance 300’s are slightly larger in thickness and length (see photos of side by side comparison. This small difference in size makes these Enhance 300’s pretty much unusable for my Mom. The larger receiver didn’t fit well in my Mom’s ear and sometimes fell out. When she got the hearing aids on and tested them, she noticed was that the new hearing aids did sound clearer than her old ones. I tried the different settings in the app, but she didn’t really notice any difference. This is fine because she’s not tech savvy at all, I don’t see her taking out the app to change the sound settings. To further enhance the sound settings, I uploaded a recent audiogram to Jabra’s website and made an appointment with the Jabra Audiology team. It’s nice that you can do this without leaving the comfort of your home. From the audiogram, the Jabra audiologists sent the adjustments to the Jabra app and these synchronized with the hearing aid. The process was very easy, and less of a hassle than visiting the warehouse club where the Pro 10’s were purchased. The meeting with the Audiologist via Zoom went smoothly. She was able to check a few things to ensure the hearing aid was setup properly and answered our questions. What she wasn’t able to do was to change the receiver size. While these new Enhance 300 seems to work better as far as clarity, the larger receiver size is a deal breaker. That’s unfortunate, I was really hoping the newer tech in the Enhance 300’s would make a big difference in her life.

Hello, Gizmo - Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback! We are sorry to hear our hearing aids did not work for your mom. While we include a variety of sizes and shapes of domes with our hearing aids, it may not provide an adequate fit to a very small percentage of users like your mother. We really do appreciate the information you have provided as far as the comparison in sound and the positive experience with our Audiology Team. It helps us know we are headed in the right direction! We wish your mother (and you) the absolute best in her continued journey to better hearing! <img src="https://s3.amazonaws.com/stratos-logos/logos/Jabra.jpg" alt="Jabra" title="Jabra" style="display: block !important; margin-top: 2em !important; border: 1px solid #ccc !important; padding: 2px !important; background-color: white !important;" />

I recently discovered my hearing was not what it once was, getting older. I decided to try a pair of over-the-counter hearing aids rather than be "recommended" expensive options by an audiologist. These Jabra stood out as the pair to try simply because I'm aware of the name and the quality of their headphones. Unboxing revealed an easy to read, and understand, selection of cards with instructions on how to set up the devices, charging and downloading the app. They come with an assortment of a dozen of each of different sized ear nubs and mesh domes, including what are known as sport clips (to keep them in place when doing sports). The case was a large version of what you would get with a pair of Bluetooth earbuds or airpods. The units themselves are quite small and lightweight, I couldn't feel I had them on unless I put on my glasses. They have a very thin and transparent wire that's barely visible, which I liked. Trying them out after charging, I discovered there was a substantial feedback echo and hissing background noise I wasn't expecting. I thought I could manipulate the settings on the app, but couldn't figure out how to fine tune things. I finally realized they needed to be calibrated by the Jabra premium support, so I used the app to contact them. They directed me to make an appointment to speak virtually with one of their specialists. Unfortunately, the earliest available was in 2 weeks; I had no choice but to wait since there was no use wearing them in this condition. Fast forward 2 weeks, the specialist seemed very nice, knowledgeable, and acted as though my interests were a priority. She sent me a link to access the audiogram test on their site, but hung up with me and told me to submit it once I was ready and she would send a calibration to the app. I conducted the test a few times to be sure and submitted the results within a few minutes. She didn't respond for not one or two days, but a week, only to tell me she suggests I take the test again because the results don't seem correct. I retake and resubmit immediately; I get a response the following day. I emailed another person who escalated the matter; with whom I told to please just send the calibration so I could start using my hearing aids I'd received a month ago by now. Finally, a calibration was sent and I synced them to my hearing aids. I wasn't expecting much, but to my surprise, there was no feedback, no hissing, I didn't hear anything out of the ordinary prompting me to think maybe they were turned off or something. They were on and it felt like I couldn't immediately tell anything was different until while in a conversation, I discovered I heard everything the person was saying, when typically, I might misinterpret a word and get corrected or have to ask for a repeat. At that point I realized something was different, the slight ringing of tinnitus was still in my left ear, but the words I was hearing were a little more understandable. This is not to say they were orders of magnitude better, just somewhat better. I believe with some tweaking, I could get them to be even better. In conclusion, I would like to point out the obvious, their premium support doesn't work and should be revamped. It was particularly disconcerting to be held hostage at the whims of their service just to get the hearing aids to work properly. I think they should include everything within the app so the owner could take the test and get them calibrated without third party support unless absolutely necessary. If not for their service, I would've added a star, because the devices work well.
