We have a 60" Samsung and we are unable to use a horizontal mount because our studs are 19" apart. Will this work since it is a single stud mount?

There are also mounts that accommodate up to 24" stud spacing's if you were looking for a dual stud mount. would this mount be recommended for installation in stone/grout for a fireplace? photo of fireplace is attached and television would be mounted in place of painting.

Does this wall mount move side to side??

When the mount is retracted the TV will be lined up with the stud, you cannot move it side to side.
