Having the previous version I feel it much faster then it predecessor with five prongs to puncture the top, starts brewing instantly. Could be a little hotter but I do add a little extra milk . The only reason I’m give this a 3 star review is because the flashing add water light came on even though was full. had to clear bottom nozzle took some research and a YouTube video to figure out own less then 2 weeks

About Keurig K-Slim The Keurig K-Slim is Keurig’s most narrow pod brewer. It’s designed for those of us who have limited counter top space, but still want a Keurig. Keurig has previously made a slimmer model before, but this one measures 5” across, so it is the narrowest model to date. The other main difference between this one and the previous slimmer model is that the K-Slim has a rear-mounted reservoir that can brew three cups without refilling. The older model held only the cup that you were brewing. Set Up Setting up the machine was really easy. Unbox it, fill it, run a clean brew, and then use it. There are a bunch of movable parts. You can take out the cup tray at the bottom if you want to fill a travel mug. The water reservoir is the only other thing that comes off. In the box, there was also a coupon for you to purchase K-Pods and another for a bottle of the cleaner to maintain the brewer. Features The K-Slim can make about 3 or so cups if the water reservoir is filled. There are 3 sizes of brews; 8oz, 10oz, and 12oz. As mentioned the model is only 5” wide so it will fit on a narrow counter top. It is surprisingly deep, so it does take most of the counter top depth. I didn’t look at the dimensions before ordering, and I was a little surprised when I unpackaged it. Maintenance There is some maintenance involve to keep the machine clean just like other Keurig devices. You need to run a clean brew when setting up to clean it out before using. There is also a bottle of cleaning solution that you need to use every so often. The bottle of cleaner appears to sell for $12.00 locally. Another more specific maintenance is that if you are making tea or hot chocolate pods you must run a clean brew after making each pod. If you don’t the nozzle may get clogged. Issues We did have a few issues that Keurig could address. First, the power cord is short. Sometimes your outlet is not directly behind where you need to place it on the counter. Second, there isn’t a strong cup setting (6 oz). When brewing hot chocolate it makes it watered down because the hot chocolate pods are supposed to use the 6 oz setting, not included on the K-Slim. Third, and the biggest issue, while brewing the hot chocolate pods our Keurig shut off during the brew both times that we attempted. We had to reset the Keurig to get it to finish. This is the most concerning to me. Not sure if that is the nature of the model or if mine is defective. The tea pods did not do this. Here is a quick list of Pros and Cons for the Keurig K-Slim. Pros *Easy set up *Narrow design *Cup tray is removable to accommodate travel mug *Improved water reservoir size for more brews, less refills Cons *Short power cord *Deep design takes up most of the counter top *Have to run a clean brew after every tea or hot chocolate *No strong cup setting *Our unit kept shutting off during hot chocolate brews I’m giving the Keurig K-Slim 3 stars. I would bump it up to 4 if it wasn’t shutting off during the hot chocolate brews. It’s a decent pod brewer and is easy to use. The narrow design is ruined a little with how deep it is. I would like to see it be a little more compact. If Keurig could fix the cord length and add a 6 oz setting I think it would help.

This is the second unit to replace the first that stopped working in under a month. Unfortunately, this one is beginning to exhibit similar problems, i.e., indicating low water when the tank is full. Not sure if this is related to this model, as I have used a "traditional" Keurig for four years with no issues. Otherwise, when functional brews great coffee.

Worked great until it didn’t. The descale light came on for the first time, so I followed the instructions for descaling. At the end of the process, my Keurig never came back on....no lights, no noise, nothing....dead.

I bought this to replace a full-sized Keuring that I had for almost 9 years. Since I'm the only coffee drinker in the family and usually only do a cup or two per day, this seemed like a great way to still have the convenience of a Keurig with a little smaller footprint. I've had the brewer for about four months, and at best it's OK. My biggest gripe is that the amount of coffee it outputs is wildly inconsistent. I've only used Keurig Green Mountain K-Cups in the brewer, and I get varying sizes of brew using the 8oz. button almost every time. It's as if the brewer doesn't pull in the right amount of water with each cup. Sometimes, it's the perfect amount in the cup, then the next time it'll be barely 1/2 of the cup. This wasn't an issue for the first month or so. I've tried using the 10oz setting, tried descaling, and the same thing happens. You can see where the brewer isn't pulling in the right amount of water every time (but it does sometimes). With all that being said, what I do is simply run a second 8oz. cycle with the same K-Cup in place, get the mug to the right amount, then quickly swap the mug with another to finish out the cycle. Inconvenient? Yep. A little messy occasionally? Sure. But it gets the job done. The reason I'm giving this three stars instead of two is that I got it on sale, so I'm giving it a star for the price that I paid. For the cup or two I drink per day it's OK. If I was a heavier coffee drinker or I paid full price for this machine it's flaws would be more annoying...maybe to the point where I'd return it. If you're a multiple cup per day person, I'd consider another model of Keurig or another brewer altogether. Maybe I just got a bad unit. But for the price I paid and the fact that the slimmer size fits our space better, I can live with it.

Easy to use. Bought the slim version as I thought it would take less space. It does but the tank is in back so you have to swing it around to fill. Check to see how much counter space you have before buying. Side fill may be more convenient

i always make the same size brew but the output seems to vary. Also since this unit has three prongs on the top, it sometimes starts to deform the kcup. It doesn't leak or anything, just not sure how this will perform in the long run.

This machine is very quick to be so small. Within seconds it’s pouring out a steaming hot beverage. Set up was easy as well. It’s tall and sleek, nice design, not bulky like the other ones. The only problem I have out of it, is that sometimes it doesn’t brew 8oz of beverage. It will literally brew about 2oz of drink after I pressed the 8oz button. It’s kind of frustrating because I don’t know when its going to do that. I wished it had a touchscreen as well. I got it on sale but I wouldn’t have paid regular price for it. If you don’t need a really quick drink in the morning I would get one if their cheaper models. The less expensive models feels more expensive than this one.

Convenient for a hot cup of coffee but I haven't been able to find pods that make coffee that tastes good. Also, there's the environmental impact of all the cups.

Replaced a 2 year old cuisinart that's no longer made. Quality is lower and on my second one in a year. First one died during descaling. Replaced under warranty but I wouldn't buy another.

We were looking for a smaller Keurig that we could use on travel and to make single cups at home. This filled the bill, but was pricier than we had planned to pay. I am not sure if it a good value and this is reflected in the overall rating. It makes a decent cup of hot coffee and is convenient. This was the third single cup brewer we had purchased. We bought two others from a different retailer. One that we returned had no off/on switch. The other leaked water. This functioned as intended.

I like my new Keurig, but it only has 3 cup size choices. The previous one I had had a 6oz. option as well. Also, the water reservoir could be placed on the side or on the back. I really preferred having it on the side. I am hoping that this one lasts longer than the previous one. It did not even last for two years! If this is the case for this one, it will be the last Keurig I purchase!!

So I bought this when it was on sale and thought it would be fine for me in my one bedroom apartment. It looks nice, but I had to return the first one to Keurig since it was steaming and only making half a cup. My replacement is not doing either of these things but I don't know...for some reason the nicer and more expensive Keurig I have at my office makes coffee taste better for some reason. I don't get it as quality of water is equal. I think I will stick to more expensive units for next time.
