Keychron C2 Pro 8K is a full-size wired custom mechanical keyboard with hot-swappable Keychron Apex Brown tactile switches, double-shot PBT keycaps, south-facing RGB, QMK and built-in AI Launcher customization, a detachable USB-C cable, adjustable typing angles, and an 8K polling rate that is 8 times faster than standard 1K polling.
The full-size layout provides a dedicated number pad, complete function row, navigation cluster, and separate arrow keys for efficient data entry, spreadsheets, gaming, and everyday productivity. Familiar key spacing reduces the learning curve, while the included system controls make the keyboard practical for both focused work and a complete desktop setup.
The high-speed USB-C connection supports an 8000 Hz polling rate, reporting keyboard input up to 8 times faster than a standard 1000 Hz connection. The shorter reporting interval helps deliver fast, consistent response for competitive gaming and rapid commands, while the detachable cable provides a stable wired link and supports convenient routing or cable changes in different desktop setups.
Pre-lubed Keychron Apex Brown tactile switches provide a smooth, consistent keystroke and are mounted in hot-swappable sockets. You can hot-swap them with most compatible 3-pin and 5-pin MX-style mechanical switches without soldering, making it easy to explore a different sound, feel or force, service an individual switch, or personalize the board without buying a new keyboard.
Programmable QMK and the built-in AI Launcher web app let you remap keys, create macros, assign shortcuts, program the rotary knob, and adjust RGB lighting in your own language. The open-source QMK foundation supports advanced layouts and workflows, while the Launcher makes configuration easy without requiring you to download any software.
The south-facing RGB is designed to better illuminate the keyboard backlight from the typist’s angle with the premium non-shine-through PBT keycaps installed. The south-facing RGB is also free from interference when the user installs Cherry-profile alternative keycaps on their keyboard. Use programmable QMK and the built-in AI Launcher to choose effects and personalize the lighting.
