If your computer accessory won’t turn on because of a power surge, count on us to make it right

You're covered if there's a power surge or fluctuation that damages your product. This includes a surge caused by a lightning strike.

How does Geek Squad Protection work with your manufacturer warranty?

During the original manufacturer's warranty period, most repairs will be handled by the manufacturer. Keep in mind that Geek Squad Protection often covers important repairs that your manufacturer warranty doesn't, like failure due to a power surge, even during the manufacturer’s warranty period.

If something goes wrong after the original manufacturer warranty ends, Geek Squad Protection has your back and will take care of any covered repairs.

It varies by product, and you'll be shown the exact cost when you add a product to your cart. Here's an example for a computer keyboard costing $27.99 (applicable taxes for the plan are not included below).

These companies operate under the trade name Assurant. Parts and coverage available under the manufacturer's warranty are not covered by the Plan during the manufacturer’s warranty period.

*For some appliance products, we have limited access to replacement parts. Due to these complexities, we will skip any repair efforts and replace or reimburse you for your broken item. Brands include but are not limited to Viking, Wolf, Thermador, Sub-Zero, Miele and JennAir.

**Replacement products and parts may be new or refurbished which meet the manufacturer's specifications, or in the form of a store credit, gift card or check in an amount not to exceed the original purchase price of your Covered Product, including taxes, to use toward the purchase of a Comparable Replacement.
