Versatile 35mm field of view pairs with a bright f/1.4 aperture to support street scenes, travel frames, environmental portraits, editorial work, and low light shooting. The manual focus design gives a direct, tactile feel that suits photographers who enjoy careful composition, smooth focus transitions, and expressive depth separation with a classic rangefinder workflow._x000D_
Refined optical construction includes one aspherical element and a floating elements system to maintain crisp detail, controlled distortion, and steady rendering from near focus to distant subjects. This setup supports architecture, documentary photography, everyday walkaround use, and close framing where edge definition and consistent contrast help preserve scene character._x000D_
The upgraded 11 blade diaphragm produces rounded blur transitions that enhance subject isolation for portraits, detail studies, evening scenes, and layered city compositions. A minimum focus distance of 1.3 feet expands creative flexibility for tighter framing on food, studio objects, shop windows, flowers, and storytelling moments captured at close range._x000D_
An integrated pull out lens hood helps reduce flare and ghosting when working in bright daylight, side light, or changing outdoor conditions. The compact profile balances well on Leica M bodies for daily carry, while 46mm front threads accept optional accessories for photographers building a lightweight kit for travel, reportage, and personal projects._x000D_

The Leica Summilux-M 35mm f/1.4 ASPH Lens in Safari finish is a versatile wide angle lens for Leica M rangefinder cameras, shaped for photographers who move between street photography, travel, portrait work, documentary scenes, and close detail studies. Its fast f/1.4 aperture helps when light is limited and gives strong control over depth of field, letting subjects stand apart with smooth background blur. The optical design uses one aspherical element to manage distortion and maintain clean detail, while the floating elements system supports consistent rendering across the focusing range. A newly engineered double cam unit brings the minimum focus distance to 1.3 feet, opening more room for dynamic close framing of food, storefronts, objects, hands, and layered narrative scenes. The 11 blade diaphragm supports a softer out of focus look, and the integrated pull out hood helps reduce flare when working outdoors or near strong light sources. For photographers seeking a compact manual focus lens with expressive rendering and everyday flexibility, this 35mm optic suits daily carry and dedicated image making alike.Manufacturer Included Items:Leica Summilux-M 35mm f/1.4 ASPH.
