After Research, as A+ Computer Repair Tech, Electrician, Electronics Engineer, U.S. Army Ordnance Corps Scientist before "Made In China", bought Lenovo IdeaCentre, as previously an International Business Machines, IBM, Corporation, Changed Mechanical Hard Drive to Faster Solid State, maximum amount of the fastest Random Access Memory, RAM, Operating System to meet or exceed Federal Government and Military Standards. Adding a NVMe (nonvolatile memory express) to go even faster without crashes than the read write of the Solid State Drive, As no longer a entry level low end computer, Student computer, Teacher computer, Professor computer. Would not recommend this computer unless the A+ Computer Technician upgrades have been done. Next project, upgrading another computer to higher capabilities than most Hewlett-Packard, HP, computers and Apple products.

This is a good, simple, no frills pc. Good for a simple web browser system or a younger person's pc system. Be warned that you won't really be able to upgrade this computer and it's not going to win any races. Can't even install another hard drive (the bios is locked on default hardware)! Not suggested for anyone even slightly considered a power user or pc gamer.

No built in audio and the system is slow even after adding additional RAM. We purchased this unit 3-4 months ago from BestBuy It wants to always run at max capacity. Both CPU, RAM, and HDD will run near 100% at times making it difficult to have the internet, email, and quick books (Hosted Edition) functioning at the same time. RAM is always near max, CPU & HDD will randomly max out causing programs to lock up and shutdown. We shut the computer off every night too. It had good spec's so I'm not sure why it has troubles keeping up with our other brand computers with similar spec's.

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo IdeaCentre 3 Desktop Computer. If you are getting less than expected performance, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686.

At first, I wasn't sure what to think about this new PC from Lenovo, but once I installed the latest Windows 10 OS upgrades, ran the standard Disk Cleanup and Defrag and Optimize from the Control Panel, and installed the new Edge Chromium browser, one week after purchase, it's a nice little winning budget PC that surprised even a PC veteran like myself! That said, don't even think about playing graphics-heavy 3D or first-person shooter games, just the simple Solitaire, Mah Jongg, word or number ones that kids or retirees should play. The standard 4GB pf RAM memory installed is weak, so I suggest adding at least 8GB of laptop memory (yes, it uses only those little laptop sticks), and you've got a terrific little PC for the kids, or moms and dads to do homework, email, and light web surfing. This little guy even has free Cyberlink PowerDVD included and a good vertical CD/DVD drive to play DVD movies and install basic software, such as card games, etc. But make sure if you want this good but little machine to perform some basic tasks, that you must add at least 8GB of laptop memory to the second RAM slot. So for my purposes and needs for an inexpensive but small, light, and ultimately worthwhile desktop tower for email, writing, and basic web-surfing, hook it up to a $100 monitor and get a set of $10 speakers, and you're all set with a budget setup. It's a solid little unit, probably the best low-budget PC (as long as you add that memory!), you can't beat this Lenovo, especially at the price! All things considered, I rate it a 4.5 out of 5, just that (and I'll say it one more time) don't forget to get that extra memory! ;)

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaCentre 3 Desktop, model number 90MV0001US. This is a mid-level, moderate use configuration, with its AMD Athlon 3050U processor. This Dual-Core processor has a base speed of 2.3GHz and a boost speed of up to 3.2GHz. This configuration has 4GB of DDR4-2666MHz RAM. It is good with Microsoft Office type programs, internet browsing and other moderate work. If this describes your computing needs, the Lenovo IdeaCentre 3 Desktop would be a good choice for you.

Small in size, quiet in operation and enough USB ports for all your equipment. Yes it has a disc player for playing and recording. This computer tower may be small in size but does it all with a price tag that is also small.

It's a very good computer, though I do wish I had splurged a little more for more RAM. It comes with only 4 GB RAM, but a modern operating system needs at least 8 GB. If I'm careful not to have too much running at the same time, it performs very well. It comes with both USB 2.0 and USB 3.1 ports. I've been careful to match the ports to the devices. Of course USB 3.1 is much faster. But I've also been impressed by the performance of USB 2.0 devices plugged into the USB 2.0 ports. The DVD tray is kinda flimsy. A CD fell off and I worried it would get stuck inside. But I was able to get it out and continue using the DVD drive. Just gotta be careful putting a disc in. There's also the nuisance of the McAfee free trial. If you don't remove McAfee altogether, you'll keep getting extremely annoying notifications that your computer is at risk. You'll also get a more sedate message from Windows saying Windows Defender will take over. First time I saw that message I was like "Do that already!" Keeping these things in mind, I find that this is a very good computer.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaCentre 3 Desktop Computer. There is a 30-day trial of McAfee Virus Protection Software installed on this computer. It activates with the initial activation of Windows 10 and will protect your computer against virus attack for the 30-day trial period. You can purchase a subscription to McAfee or uninstall and use either the free Windows Defender or install your own choice of 3rd party VPS, just uninstall McAfee first, as there can only be one VPS installed on the computer at a time. Here is a link to information on uninstalling McAfee from Windows 10: https://service.mcafee.com/webcenter/portal/oracle/webcenter/page/scopedMD/s55728c97_466d_4ddb_952d_05484ea932c6/Page29.jspx?wc.contextURL=%2Fspaces%2Fcp&articleId=TS101331&_afrLoop=1355161020222084&leftWidth=0%25&showFooter=false&showHeader=false&rightWidth=0%25¢erWidth=100%25#!%40%40%3FshowFooter%3Dfalse%26_afrLoop%3D1355161020222084%26articleId%3DTS101331%26leftWidth%3D0%2525%26showHeader%3Dfalse%26wc.contextURL%3D%252Fspaces%252Fcp%26rightWidth%3D0%2525%26centerWidth%3D100%2525%26_adf.ctrl-state%3Dx25crirbo_9

I need to upgrade the ram but I knew that from the start. The guy that sold me it wanted me to be happy because I just turned in a nicer one that was defective. He gave me many options for different ones but I was trying to be in between. price and performance when I really wanted performance. But it was upgraded able and nice

I purchased this to use in my home office. The computer is nicely outfitted along of expansion ports to connect or add USB devices. But what I love about it the last is the fact that it's a Lenovo!! It's durable in its design & quick and easy to get set up. I would recommend this product for someone looking for a entry level into working at home desktop.

I bought this box TWICE because of its size and easy upgradability. We added 16GB of RAM and an SSD. This little thing is pretty zippy with Windows 11.

Very good for home and office applications, though it gets slow if you run more than 3 programs at once. Decent for gaming, frame rate is a little low, even with a large hard-drive partition. If you want this for high end gaming, be prepared to buy some ram sticks. Other than that, it was an easy set-up and had everything you need to get started, even keyboard and mouse.

I purchased this because it was the least expensive option and for the business application I needed it for it works just fine. So I bought another one that does need to do more and have needed to upgrade the HD and RAM but it was probably still less expensive than just buying something with everything I needed up front.

It’s cheap and it’s slow but if you buy this item and want it to work wonderfully you have to upgrade the ddr4 ram. And it works wonderful once i upgraded it. So if you decide to get this i recommend upgrading the ram at the same time because the 4gb ram with it doesn’t cut it its really slow cant even open 2 apps. But once its upgraded it works like a charm

Needed something to replace my old dinosaur computer. This was the ideal desktop for me. Nice and small. Has a lot of punch for it's size. Easy to set up too. Fits nicely on my desk.
