It takes forever to boot and all messengers (WhatsApp, Viber, Telegram) are constantly freezing. Sometimes takes 5-7 minutes (!!!) to switch from and to a messenger which is absolutely ridiculous. The problem most likely is related to the touchscreen which is almost impossible to use because of a weird delay when moving a finger. Complete trash of a Chromebook, my 4-year old one is a budget model that worked way better before was destroyed by kids.

A Chromebook should run Google docs seamlessly. We have now gone thru two of these computers bc both show the same issue only occasionally with a random newly created doc. When opening a doc, the file looks corrupt, lines blacking out text, greyed out areas… the total tech guy said it would only get worse with time. The 2nd computer started doing it after only 3 days of use. Boo. I purchased a HP laptop instead.

stop working after 2 months of very light used and customer is not very helpful. keep asking same questions and go nowhere and it seems the tech doesn't know how the machine work.

I am unable to use the chomebook i bought because my wifi will not connect with it the geek squad doesnt know about chomebook but got their wifi connected. I dont use computers that much so now it just sits collecting dust

So long as your Chromebook is backed up and the data is tied to the same Google account you used to setup your Chromebook, you can restore your system from a backup point to prevent you having to go through the full setup process again or having to make setting adjustments and customizations again.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 Chromebook, while appealing for its compact size and portability, falls short in several critical aspects. The Chrome OS, known for its simplicity and integration with Google services, proves limiting for users requiring broader software compatibility. Performance issues, including slow processing and frequent glitches, significantly impact user experience, leading to frustration and annoyance. I purchased this Chromebook with the intention of having a smaller, more portable device for everyday use. However, after using it, I regret not thoroughly testing its capabilities before the return window closed. The limitations of the operating system and its sluggish performance make it unsuitable for tasks beyond basic web browsing and lightweight applications. In conclusion, unless your computing needs are minimal and centered around web-based activities, I would not recommend the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 Chromebook. Its performance issues and operating system limitations outweigh its portability benefits.

I do not recommend this laptop. I have been using it for 6 months and I need to buy a new one. The wifi drops constantly and a chromebook has very few features left without internet. The wifi takes a few minutes to reconnect and it is incredibly disrupting when I'm working. I can only run about 8 internet tabs at a time and that is it, the laptop otherwise becomes too slow and stops loading tabs completely. The touch screen is glitchy and often will start ghost clicking and deleting my work. That or the touchscreen doesn't work at all. Even the touchpad gets stuck when clicking it. It often starts glitching and bringing up the files repeatedly and needs to be restarted. I assumed the low price was due to the chromebook having less features than a normal windows computer, but I can't even use the internet smoothly with this. The only good thing about this laptop is that it does have a very long battery life. But otherwise I cannot get anything done on it.

I always buy Best Buy, but my experience with this Chromebook, has tarnished by longtimem loyalty.....one day, I touched the screen and the screen went black and then lines and discoloration appeared. It was wild. I took it down to Best Buy because it was still under warranty. The store then informed me I had to take it up with Lenovo. Lenovo refused to honor the warranty, saying I must have done something to break the screen even though I sent them photos showing there wasn't a mark on the Chromebook and that I kept it at my desk (I'm a reporter) and I have one for travel and one for desk -- this one never traveled. It's in perfect condition except for the clearly defective screen. I will not be buying Lenovo again.

Best Buy has the worst customer service and I will never shop with them again. The products are mediocre and discounts are not applied correctly and the hassle of returning and being charged nearly three times what I was supposed to pay because an employee was in a rush to leave for their date is unacceptable.

Bought this laptop in September and was told that it would work for my college classes and I could stay within my price budget. I just started classes and it unfortunately does not have the capacity to handle the work that I need to do. I went to Best Buy to buy another computer that I would be sure would work and was told I could trade this one in to lower the price of the new computer which was almost one thousand dollars. When I brought the Lenovo in I was told it has zero trade in value after being in perfect condition and only used a few times. Best Buy is still selling this computer for over three hundred dollars but is claiming it has no value. How does a three hundred and twenty dollar computer equate to a zero dollar value in 4 months when they are still selling it?

I can't believe how much this thing sucks! I totally regret this purchase! I hesitate to return it because a few of my sensitive passwords are buried in this worthless rock. I feel like I am back on 1996 dial up with this joke of a thing. DONT BUY THIS. I am a VERIFIED purchaser. Who are these "People" that left so many positive review that affected my purchasing decision? I feel scammed. Were they even real people? This is the WORST CHROMEBOOK I HAVE EVER PURCHASED for many reasons and just leave it at that. I'm not wasting any more time with this review or Lenovo heaps of garbage. I hope Lenovo goes out of business. You were warned.

The regular price on this is $319 and I paid $149, so it was inexpensive. I wanted a device solely for my genealogy research documentation to use instead of my MacBook. I don't have a grasp of what the memory and processor are capable of. I have one google spreadsheet with 12,684 cells and this computer can't process it;(

I got this as a Christmas present for my 10-year-old daughter. We signed in with a new Google account for her and spent time figuring out an email and password. Then every time she wanted to get on the Chromebook, it had her sign in, but then said that her account wasn’t working. After several attempts, I needed to delete that account and redo the whole set up. And the next day it still didn’t work. It has been nothing but a hassle to try and get working.

Let me begin by saying that the Chromebook is as advertised and meets my needs. The purchase process however, is far from satisfactory. I returned my old Chromebook for a 45.00$ trade-in allowance as offered by Best buy.A return QR code was received from Bestbuy and I packaged the old laptop and sent it off timely via UPS. Two weeks after sending my Chromebook back, it was returned to me in the same packaging with no explanation or paperwork as to why it was not excepted.
