I was fortunate enough to receive mine back on 6/16 as an early adopter. I'm always keen on new tech and when this first hit the market, I snagged one of the first ones. Now after having this for 3 months, I'm already looking to sell it, with regrets. Lenovo has failed to deliver on much of their specialized software / apps for this device, it has some issues with the virtual trackpad popping up when you are trying to take notes with the pen and sometime the pen just quits working altogether (yes, new batteries, reset multiple times - it is a driver issue). With no way to protect the cover, this laptop is too fragile for a road-warrior or a student and is best left on a desk at home. Most people on the online Lenovo Community still have not received their Yoga Book 9i's yet after they've shelled out $2K and Lenovo cannot tell them when they should expect it. I have to say this is a little more than a half-backed dual screen laptop and it seems like Lenovo is giving up on any further development of this laptop. Any time you post something on the forum, you always get this canned response from "Rodney" with Lenovo (in the Philippines it states on the forum). Would I buy this again - No and will probably never buy another Lenovo Product. Can I recommend this laptop to someone? - I just can't and would recommend spending your hard-earned money on something else.

Unfortunately, this is not a laptop you can keep on your lap because it gets much too hot. The magnets for the keyboard are much too loose and shifts around while typing. The hard drive is not replaceable and you will run out of space relatively quickly with only 512 GB. Terrible battery life – I only got two or three hours. Overall, yes you do have two screens, but for my purposes, very limited use, especially given the high price. If your work is mostly remote, this laptop might fit your needs.

Hello, Ajax. We are sorry to hear that you encountered an issue with your Yoga Book 9i. Regarding the heat produced, the Yoga Book 9i features an active cooling system, along with other components and software, enable the user to power through work without throttling due to heat produced. We recommend that the bottom of the device, where the air intake vents are, is clear of obstructions to increase air flow. Additionally, most Lenovo laptops have a feature called Smart Control, enabling the user to use the key command combination of Fn + Q to toggle between thermal/performance mode. In instances where you may use the device in your lap, we recommend switching to cool or quiet mode to help with the heat felt on the bottom of the machine. Also, please check for and apply any available updates through Lenovo Vantage and Windows Update Settings to help ensure you are using the latest software and drivers to maintain device health. Should your issue persist after these fixes, we recommend reaching out to Lenovo Tech Support and providing a representative with details of your issue, so that they may help by providing a solution for you. Here is a phone number to speak with a tech support representative to further resolve your issue: 877-453-6686. We appreciate you sharing your experience so that we may use it to continue to better our products and services for yourself and others.

I wanted to love this laptop so much. I love the concept. The different directions/configurations are awesome. However, I genuinely wish I could return it. I have had it about 5 months, thinking I needed to get used to it. It regularly shuts off on its own after a few seconds. When it goes to "sleep" the whole computer needs to restart, saving nothing. about 1/5 the time you turn it on, the mouse/touch screen/keyboards are nonresponsive and you have to force restart. Honestly, save yourself the headache and get a good laptop at a much better price, and then splurge for a second screen attachment.

The bluetooth keyboard is essential to the device's design, but when mine broke while under warranty, the lenovo policy is to send the entire laptop back for three to four weeks. Best Buy Total Tech could not offer any alternative. Pretty absurd.

Great in concept, not at all practical for actual daily use. To be usable, you need to carry the actual dual screen laptop + the keyboard + a mouse + the stand. I can see this being a wonderful set-up if one is stationary, but then that defeats the purpose of getting a "laptop".

Hello, AltF. We are sorry to hear that your time with your Yoga Book 9i has not met your expectations. Due to the wide range of the Yoga Book's use cases, it is designed with user convenience in mind and to boost productivity, even on-the-go. This device can be setup almost as a "traditional desktop" experience utilizing the full keyboard, mouse, and dual-screen setup in portrait or landscape orientations, or by placing the magnetizing keyboard on the bottom screen in "laptop" mode, it can serve as a traditional laptop. The various components can be used or stored away depending on how you want to use your system. Should you wish to learn more about what your Yoga Book can do, there are various resources in the "User Center" application.

Bottom screen cracked out of the blue after only about a year and a half of ownership.

Great features but useless because Lenovo overrides the Intel graphic settings. My accessibility settings for brightness and contrast are overwritten every few months unless I disable the Lenovo services (that provide other standard functions). Lenovo support said that is the way it is - one set of settings for all people for the graphics and resolution. Horrible support. Will recommend to people I work with to avoid, especially if there is a need to change any graphic settings to make it readable / usable.

Screens are too small. The ratio on them is awkward for most windows apps.
