The refrigerator is great. The installers, as well as Best Buy Support are terrible. That includes phone and online. As it turned out, the refrigerator wouldn't work due to an installation error which they expected us to wait a full 2 week for either a replacement or service, which didn't guarantee anything. We did pay extra for the 5 year extended warrantee which wasn't helping. I ended fixing the problem myself as I have some electrical expertise to avoid any more headaches and stop living out of a cooler. This has convinced me to never deal with Best Buy in the future as it seems that nobody seems to care about their customers once they pocket their money.

The fridge looks great, but the craft ice maker does not work. I spent a week trying different temps, but still nothing. I called customer care and scheduled an appt, but the guy was a no show, no I'm scheduled for 2 more weeks out. We paid over $4k for this fridge-our expectation is that EVERYTHING SHOULD WORK wether its just a technical issue or the fridge needs to be replaced. Also, please read other reviews. The craft ice maker only makes 3-6. balls within 48hours. Not worth the experience...

This is a great looking refrigerator. One of the reasons we bought this model is for the Craft Ice, but buyer beware!! If you have a water softener in you home the refrigerators filtration system does not filter out the salt, and your "craft Ice" is full of salt particles. So you can't use the craft ice. Very frustrating that the sales person does not advise on this issue. Nor either company.

I’m the fool. I bought the same refrigerator twice. The first one lasted 7 years…I bought in September of 2016 and it failed (out of warranty) in 2023. We loved the design so much that we bought another in March of 23. The worst part of it is LGs, and by proxy Best Buy’s service for this problem is absolutely abysmal. This is a $4000 fridge and they want me to defrost…yes, my frost free refrigerator. The issue is that the evaporator coil leaks and it forms a big ice ball behind the panels in the freezer portion of the fridge. It grows to a point where the evaporator fan starts hitting the ice ball and makes an increasingly louder noise. First, customer service just wanted to send me a link to tell me how to defrost it, then the actual human (non native English speaker) tried to get me to do the same thing. Once I refused to defrost the refrigerator, she placed me on hold 4 separate times…only to tell me that I would eventually be contacted by any number of available technicians (whoever would accept the service request). I strongly recommend against buying this refrigerator or any other LG product that you may eventually need service on. Absolutely the worst customer service ever. The service call is routed to the Philippines and if you ask for a native English speaker the answer is ‘that is not available’ - ask to speak to a supervisor and your phone battery will die while on hold.

My wife and I love our new LG Appliances and the fridge is at the top of the list. I’m still enjoying how great the filtered water tastes when compared to my old fridge and I changed the filter at 6 months still great tasting water and ice.
