Questions & Answers
Why won’t it allow me to set it up
Answered by LG Digital Customer CareHi, there! Thank you for sharing your question with us about the LG Gram Book (16U55U‑H). This model may not allow you to complete setup right away if certain requirements aren’t met. Here are a few common reasons and steps to check: • Power adapter: This model doesn’t always ship with a charger included, so make sure you’re using a compatible LG adapter to power it on. • Operating system: Some units are sold without a pre‑installed OS. If that’s the case, you’ll need to install Windows or another operating system before setup can proceed. • Initial boot sequence: Ensure the laptop is connected to Wi‑Fi and follow the prompts during the first boot. Skipping steps can block access to apps and features. For more information, you can refer on this link "LG Gram - LG Update Program Installation Guide": https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-gram-lg-update-program-installation-guide--20153529289392?srsltid=AfmBOorkbTj_ubgHTYMI4oYgHqHWITy2XtAfcvVGX3Z0v9NCdKbWrvbk. Is it normal for computer to be dead out of box?
Answered by LG Digital Customer CareRegardless of brand or manufacturer, it obviously is NOT normal for a brand-new computer to be dead out of the box, but it does happen occasionally due to shipping damage, a dead battery, or a rare manufacturing defect. Laptops sometimes ship with a completely drained battery. You can plug it into a wall charger and wait 15 to 30 minutes before trying to turn it on. A broken charger or a bad power cord can stop power from getting through. A small percentage of parts fail quality control and break before they ever get used. If the LG gram Book 16" Copilot+ PC Touchscreen Laptop with AMD Ryzen AI 7 445 -16GB RAM -1TB SSD - Titan Black, Model # 16U55U-H.AU77U3 is dead out of the box, Best Buy allows you to return or exchange it for a full refund or a replacement within their standard 15-day return window (or up to 60 days if you have a My Best Buy Plus or Total membership). To return or exchange the laptop, you will need to bring the dead laptop, the original box and packaging, all included accessories (like the charger and cables), and your receipt or proof of purchase. There is no restocking fee for computers returned to Best Buy. If you visit a physical store or contact online support during your return window, they can immediately test the device and arrange an exact replacement or issue a full refund. If the 15-day (or 60-day) return period has passed, a dead-on-arrival laptop falls under the manufacturer’s warranty rather than Best Buy's return policy. At that point, you will need to contact LG for a warranty repair or replacement, or visit the Best Buy Geek Squad in-store to see if they can assist with diagnostic or warranty routing...^Ivan.
I thought this would include a case for the computer. Does it not?
Answered by LG Digital Customer CareHello, Jos! Thank you for sharing your question with us about the LG Gram Book (16U55U‑H.AU77U3). No, this model does not come with a protective case included in the package. The unit is shipped with the laptop itself, power adapter, and documentation, but accessories like sleeves or carrying cases are sold separately. If you’d like to keep your device protected, we recommend purchasing an LG‑compatible laptop sleeve or case. These are designed to fit the ultra‑lightweight gram series while maintaining portability. Is it good for gaming
Answered by LG Digital Customer CareHello, there! Thank you for sharing your question with us about the LG Gram Book 16" (16U55U‑H.AU77U3). No, this model is not good for gaming. It is built as an ultra‑lightweight productivity and everyday multitasking laptop, prioritizing portability, battery life, and office/multimedia performance rather than gaming capabilities. With its integrated graphics and slim design, it’s best suited for tasks like web browsing, document work, streaming, and light creative workloads, but not for demanding or graphics‑intensive games.
