I saw this 'sidekick' washer & just HAD to have it under a 9.0 cu ft dryer stairwell location in a new home I'm building! Fine appliance & not too difficult to install. I like it!

Would have been a great item to have barring Best Buys Inability to get it to me. Once they did, they brought one that was 3" to large and obviously the wedding one. No no problem. "We'll just schedule it out another month" they said. And so on and so on. This obviously is not a review of the washer, but rather a review that Best Buy should not even sell this item if they can't figure out how to deliver it. Not the first time best buy!

Never had one of these before. Only using it to wash workout wear. It’s small, can’t imagine washing a thicker fabric in it. So far so good...

The SideKick is an absolutely brilliant engineering design! It adds 1 cubic foot of wash capability, and is a stand alone, separate washer. It is whisper quiet, ultra high efficient & can operate simultaneously with the main washer, or on it's own. It cleans the clothes thoroughly with no drama or difficulties, no leaks, loud noises or smells. This is a gorgeous machine in Graphite Steel. LG is the only company that had the brilliant idea to offer a stand-alone Washer below the main washer on the market today. I love how it plays an upbeat tune instead of the old BEEP, BEEP! of our other appliances! Only one complaint: The SideKick remote control has not been released yet. It should have been included with the washer, rather than sell for $29.95 after the sale. Other than that one complaint, it stays balanced, sips energy & runs quiet & true!!

People at Best Buy are great, Install great! LG The machine is nice, but......... I dont want me clothes to smell. LG I have issues with, Water stays in the bottom of this washer, when smells. LG believe that this problem to be normal. Its NOT. Its not clean or sanitary like LG promotes. It smells after days of non being used. I can not leave the drawer open, that would be come a dangerous trip or fall hazard. Even with the lid crack not closed when not in use it still stinks. Wipe it out, the condensation still accumulates. LG this is NOT normal.

I love my sidekick washer. It’s come in so handy for washing small loads of face masks. I also use it for dish cloths and for active wear. It features six wash cycles. Also serves as a pedestal to prop the full size washer almost 2 1/2 feet from the ground. This makes loading and unloading larger loads easier. At full price it’s quite pricy. Wait for a sale and that makes it just a little more than the drawer pedestal.

If you can get this item, OPEN BOX, please do yourself a favor and GET IT. So I bought this item open box for $250. I was hesitant at first but as bad as I wanted the product, I wasn't willing to spend $700 for it. That's the same price as a regular washer machine. Even the sale price was a little too high for me. I picked it up as an open box item. Most open box items are floor models, so it's never used. It work great, cleans well, and it has one scratch at the bottom. (Weighing my options) Scratch vs. Save $250 to $500. I'll take the scratch Alex. It was so worth it. I got such a great deal on this. It's in the laundry room, no one notices the scratch. It's way at the bottom and you'll scratch it up yourself anyway. Take the savings. This product pairs well with the LG Twin Wash set. P.S. Open box items can be returned within 14 days and you can add protection on them. So it's not a final sale situation. Definitely take the chance on big price items. It's worth the savings for sure.

This little pedestal washer is so great for those little wash loads so I don't have to throw the stuff in with another load when they should be washed more delicately or separately due to color or cycle type. It also makes for quicker washing since you have two washers that can run at the same time if you have a big load and a small load that need to be washed. The one thing I wish was different is the beeping for the rinse cycle doesn't appear to be changeable. I can't turn it off early or make it quite if I don't want to be warned it's time to add the fabric softener. I have to just wait till it stops. I leave it open to dry out after each wash because it seals up when you close it. The lid is the right height that I can continue to use the upper washer without interference from the lower washer door being open. It has all the right cycles for what I need a smaller capacity washer for. This was well worth it for the extra $50 I paid over a drawer pedestal!

This product is great for small loads, making it more efficient with less water and stain removal. Great for small kids clothes and quick washes.

When I got this I didn't think I would really use it much but I tell you I use this every day. It's great for small loads so you don't have to run the big washer. 8 also use it for my gym clothes etc. my only complaint is for the price that the remote should come with it. Also make sure the delivery people give you the little blue thing that you use for the detergent. They almost forgot to give it to me and it's super important cause it only takes a tiny bit in it. Also do not use those pods in it like the tide pods etc. it says not to in the paperwork . I bought the remote from lg website cause Best Buy was out of them. It's helpful cause you can't really see the pause button for when you have to pause it to put fabric softener in it. Definitely the side kick was the best invention ever. Like I said I use it daily

An excellent add-on to the large capacity washer. Perfect for washing just a few items, especially delicates and hand-wash items. Extremely quiet, fast, and efficient.

This was the best money I have ever spent. I honestly feel this pedestal washer does a better job than the main washer. I am particular about my laundry and separate everything so I usually have small hand wash loads and athletic loads galore. It does a GREAT job. It makes keeping up with laundry so much easier and I cannot imagine now ever not having one. Treat yourself and buy it.

This was a good purchase for us. Wife wanted this to wash socks, kitchen towels and other small items separately and this is perfect for that use. This is also very handy when the need is to just wash a few clothes separately. We have run both the top and bottom units together and it is very convenient option with the load being done in half the time. Also, when it comes to the mold issue, unlike other users we have not seen any mold buildup yet.

Love...love...love this! Have a small load of say dish towels, table cloth or a few jeans? BAM...put in the sidekick while you wash other items and in a relatively short time it is done. Buy the optional remote and it is really cool! This was combined with the matching set of Washer and Dryer what are rated number one by consumer reports! I saved $1,000 because of best Buy member pricing over any other price in the nation. The installers did a fantastic job and in no time were out there with it done right the first time! The actually switched the sides of the washer and dryer even though it is not plumbed that way so the doors open the correct way!

I've only had it about 2 months but so far, I love it! Great for small loads or active wear. I have used it more than I thought I would and I usually use it for under garments. I did buy the extended warranty just in case but it seems to be working just fine. The only thing I don't like is there isn't a place to put detergent so you have to add it on top of the clothes or toss a pod in.

This washer is a great addition to any laundry room. It is compact and space-saving, making it perfect for small apartments or condos. The washer is also very energy-efficient, which can help you save money on your energy bills. One of the best features of this washer is the TurboWash technology. This technology allows you to wash your clothes in just 14 minutes, without sacrificing cleaning performance. The washer also has a variety of other features, including a built-in pre-wash cycle, a steam cycle, and an allergen cycle. Overall, I am very happy with this washer. It is efficient, effective, and easy to use. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new washer.

This is handy. With this we can wash two load at the same time when used in conjunction with the main washer. So that means it's a time saver. There are two main issues with the washer. First, it is pricey. Secondly, there's no dispenser for the soap, fabric softener, or bleach. You just have to dump it in the tub along with the clothes. That's why you can't use bleach. I expected more for this kind of money. That being said, the clothes do come out clean as expected. It does use the same soap as the main washer.
