If you don't want a headache after using it for a few months, spend $30 more dollars to get an apple pen. This pencil is a troublesome. It will stop working at some point. Considering the difference in price between apple pencil and this one, this pencil is not worth buying.

Don’t buy this product after a month it’s not working anymore and now I can’t return it, I hope I can take my money back I’m so disappointed w/ this product
JimBrendel Posted
I purchased 2 of these for use at DePaul College Prep in Chicago. One of the crayons stopped within 1 month. Logitech indicated it would take “some time” to replace the product - some time was 94 days. This is required for school work, so I purchased a replacement. Last night I learned the crayon didn’t last through the school day, when it doesn’t work, my sons cannot complete class work. I’ve been 15 before, so I thought there may be other issues, like a 15-year-old who blames a poor charge. So, I tested and confirmed the battery life is abysmal. We’re on month 4 and all of the Crayons are either unreliable or not functioning. If this happened with a single device, I could understand. It’s a systemic problem. The product is garbage. 3 crayons, $210 down the drain. Spend the additional $20 and get the Apple Pencil. I would have easily spent more to avoid this frustration. Now that I have to purchase a replacement, that’s what I’m going to do.

Hello JimBrendel, Very sorry to hear about your disappointment with the Logitech Crayon not working as it should. The battery life for the Crayon is up to 7.5 hours depending on usage. It takes 30 minutes to get a full charge. One resource that could help you out is software updates. Here's a link to the download: https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024701454--Downloads-Logitech-Crayon. Hope that you found this helpful and that all is going well. Thank you for choosing Logitech. - Richard from Logitech

Used this for about 2 hours and thought I was really going to like it. It’s easy to grip and wrote like a pen on paper. However, after 2 hours it stopped working. I tried charging it thinking the battery was low. Still nothing. It would turn on for 3 seconds then shut down. After trying again the next day with the same results and not finding much help on their website, I returned it and got an Apple Pencil.

My wife hated this. It was very large and clunky. I returned it for the Apple Pencil which my wife loves. I do not recommend this if you have an iPad and you can afford the Apple Pencil. The money you save is not worth the harder to use product.

That's disappointing to hear and it's surely not what we expect to deliver. We understand your displeasure and apologize for any issues that arise. We value your input, therefore we will forward it along to the appropriate team so they can look into it. Thanks a lot!

The shape is odd for writing...uncomfortable compared to a round barrel pencil. The price is less than the Apple Pencil, but higher than the $40 knock-offs sold online. I will say that it works, but that there’s a major feature missing: auto shut-off. Once I turn it on, it stays on, and will drain its charge. Not so good when I pick up the pencil and put it down all day while working. I like a lot of Logitech stuff, but not this.

This item does not work. It’s not compatible with the iPad even though it says on the page that is compatible, they would not take my return and I think this is very wrong because this is the description says that is supposed to be compatible I wouldn’t have gone through this problem, if they would’ve gave us a better description or if they would’ve told us that it’s not compatible I would’ve never bought it but it said it was compatible and now you guys won’t take the return and I think that’s totally wrong. I will never be shopping with this company again . with Best Buy.

This “Crayon” is just as described. Crayons break under pressure and don’t last very long. Such is the case with this item. For starters, Battery life once fully charged is 1.5 to 2 hours. You have to charge for 1 hour between use, and it goes to sleep after a period of inactivity. One would assume that this feature save battery life right? Not so. 1 month after my store return period has expired, it won’t work anymore, the “crayon” is fully charged however when you press the power button the green does not stay on past three second. Thanks for nothing Logitech...

Hi, I'm sorry that you have had a poor experience with the Crayon. I'm sorry that the battery on the Crayon was dying after 1.5 to 2 hours. The rated life is up to 7 hours on a full charge. I would make sure the cable is fully connected and able to deliver a charge to the Crayon. The green light does not stay illuminated during use. The green light will come on and then fade away but it is still powered and will work on your iPad. After 30 mins of idle time the Crayon will power itself off. Logitech does have a 1 year limited hardware warranty on this device. Please visit support.logi.com for additional help with your Crayon. Thanks for being a Logitech customer. Kristi from Logitech

Bought for my son for his iPad and it worked for a few days and then stopped before the 15 day return window. returned it to BestBuy and found another brand that was cheaper on line and works better.

Hello John, I'm sorry to hear that your Crayon Digital Pencil stopped working after a few days of use. The Crayon only has about 7 hours of continuous use, so if it stopped working that soon after purchasing it, my guess would be that the battery ran out. It can be charged by flipping the back piece up and plugging a lightning connector into the port underneath that flap.

I purchased this because the Apple Pencil 2 was out of stock everywhere and I needed something to use on my IPad Pro 2020. I wish I’d been more patient. I even watched YouTube videos and thought this would be great. I was wrong. It worked great for 2 weeks. Not even everyday use either. Then it started writing in “dashes” like those lines to trace letters when you’re learning how to write. Then one day it stopped working after I’d charged it for a few minutes. It’s difficult to tell when its powered up, hard to troubleshoot and finally died 2 days after it was no longer returnable. Wish I’d read the reviews talking about this issue. $75 wasted.

Hello Nashvillemom! Sorry to hear you're having issues with your Logitech Crayon Digital Pencil for iPad Pro. I am not sure if you're seeing any light come up on the Crayon when you're charging it with you iPad lightning, but breathing green would mean it's charging, and red would mean it's low battery. One thing you could try also try is updating your Crayon's firmware, if you have a PC or a Mac, go to the Crayon downloard page https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024701454--Downloads-Logitech-Crayon, download the file and update. That could also help it's performance. If none of these are helping, note that this product actually has a 1-year warranty on it from Logitech, so might be worth checking the product page https://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/grab-a-crayon and contacting the Support on our website. - Mathieu from Logitech

I bought this big-buck pencil to use with my new iPad. I had visions of easily making comments on pictures, and drawing stuff. Imagine my surprise when none of this was easy (or possible) without other apps. $70 was too much to pay for something that was of no easy use to me. I took it back to Best Buy for a no-hassle return, and THAT is why I buy stuff from Best Buy!

I expected to receive a stylus to replace the cheap $7 stylus I had which I used for every app and screen on my ipad with this Logitech. Unfortunately, I soon found out it is for drawing applications only. Not what I was looking for. So my search continues.

I have tried two of these. They stink. What a waste of money. I feel bad for the person who bought the one I returned, and I feel bad that I didn't return the second one in time. I could never figure it out. Granted I'm not the brightest technological person, but if you sell a digital pen to write on a digital tablet it should just work, right? I broke down and bought the Apple Pencil. Son't waste your money or time on this thing.

I purchased this almost 3 weeks before my sons birthday. On his birthday, he was disappointed as was I that it wouldn’t stay turned on after charging. Just turns off. Unfortunately, the return window at best buy is 2 weeks. Logitech won’t even return my emails so I’m just out $60 on a Apple crayon that doesn’t work.

Hi Belmod247, thank you for your feedback! Press power and go, with up to 7.5 hours of writing time. It will shut off automatically after 30 minutes. 4 minutes of re-charging will provide 1 hour of battery life. The Logitech Crayon is backed with a 3-year limited hardware warranty. Was ok when purchased and worked ok. However after owing for a week it stopped charging or turning on. Never did figure it out. Even YouTubed how to troubleshoot and nothing. Glad I reached out to Logitech to get this resolved.

I bought the pen thinking it would be a great substitute for the apple pen. The pen just wasn’t as responsive for the price. Was better off using a regular stylus. Maybe if the pen was $20 it be more reasonable.

We have gone through 3 of these. They don’t hold up to an artistic teen. Flimsy plastic construction. There are other options that are better constructed and use higher quality materials for less
