I’m very disappointed in all the little problems I’ve had with this laptop. Granted I waited 11 years before upgrading my old desktop mac to this laptop, but I am not wowed by it. Everything is too small to see well, and why only two ports? Major disappointment. Then I have “kernel panic” errors, and problems getting my messages and contacts to sync. Also have some duplicate birthdays on my calendar. Not happy.

I love Apple and how everything integrates and sinks together, I have many apple products, this is the first tablet. It too a little getting used to, but starting to get the hang of it. Not happy about the port choices, you get 2 Apple charging ports, I believe they are called USB-C ports. There is no internal dvd/cd drive which I would say is to keep it super slim and lightweight but I don’t believe the pro comes with one either, so you have to buy an external multi port to be able to plug an external dvd/cd port into the computer if you intend on watching movies or looking at pictures from any other drive, the external DVD/CD drives run $30-$90. The Apple brand external dvd/cd drive is not compatible with the the new 2020 tablets which is highly annoying. So you will have to buy off brand. I also had to buy an external port in order to have a regular USB port or SD slot, and the external ports are an additional $70-$120. Unless you buy the expensive Apple Bluetooth mouse you will have to buy the external port just to use a mouse. Also this is not touch screen, apparently Apple does not make a touch screen computer. Nearly every other laptop on the market is touch screen, my work computer is touchscreen so I’m used to having this feature, this is probably the biggest annoyance about this computer for me. I still love Apple, but very disappointed in the price I paid and all the add on’s I had to buy to make it useful for every day use.

The standard 8GB RAM is just plain cheap from Apple. The laptop pages consistently with no additional application installed. Based on the high SSD usage for paging the SSD would more likely fail sooner than the life expectancy for this laptop. I returned it and got a BTO from Apple so I can get the 16GB RAM version.

Returned this product. I love apple and wanted a Mac book but when I got it home it was not compatible with any program I use. They told me they would work for all my programs and it didn’t. Would loved for it to work.

Battery will not hold a charge. Have to send it in to Apple because even the Apple Store will not change it…. Brand new computer…. I love MAC’s but this is ridiculous having a new computer and haven’t even made a payment yet… Not a happy purchaser. Although with the chip it is very speedy compared to the old MAC’s. Not feeling very comfortable with this machine…

I am a solid Mac user, but Macbook Pro with M1 chip purchased 1/21 continually drops my WiFi connection. I need to be within 6 feet of the Gateway in order to get Wifi. Once established, I can move to other room 15 feet away and work for a short time and again the WiFi is dropped by the mac. Other older Mac’s work great. Wifi provider speed is great. Shutting down this Mac is a challenge as shut down is continually interrupted by Alert Log in Window and I have got force quit programs I have used. When starting up the Mac, Webroot popping up on the screen. I need to wait for it to pop up before I can continue using the Mac. I have been in touch with a few Geek Squad techs and no one can solve the problem. I am wondering if it is Big Sur or the M1 chip? Really not happy with this mac.

If I had to say something nice about this laptop, it's get amazing, outstanding, superb quality speakers. I've never heard such beautiful sound from a laptop before. But... The operating system is awful. I tried to get used to the keyboard shortcuts for this and that. Biggest complaints: -I had to buy a 3rd party app to change the resolution, which was otherwise seemingly very low. -Switching between multiple windows in an app is a pain in the rear, even with the right keyboard shortcuts. -Cmd+Tab to switch windows is too close to Cmd+Q to quit app and too often I would hit the wrong one accidentally quitting an app. -Google Chrome on open did not typically show my start-up pages, it would only work if I Cmd+Q to quit the running instance. If I just closed the window it would not work. -The "taskbar/launchbar equivalent" down the bottom is just not as functional as Windows. I can't hover over an app and see open windows it has for example. It's just not for me.

Product is great but that has nothing to do with bestbuy. Literally sat in front of the laptop I was getting asking for help for over 45 mins before one of the lazy salesmen finally decided to show up. Took forever to check out and had multiple issues. Also, even after I said please don’t try to sell me anything else I’m in a rush, the sales man literally tried to sell me 10 things before he would just ring me up and let me leave

Item was defective. Picture blinks in and out; cursor will disappear and become inoperative; bluetooth is sporadic; zoom projections will randomly stop mirroring screen. Apple reloaded all software and determined it was a hardware issue.

This new MacBook replaces the one I bought 30 months ago. The "old" one ran out of memory and I was advised that it could not have internal memory installed. The solution I chose was to purchase a new MacBook. It does many things I do NOT do what I want to do. I am very disappointed in it and your service

It took 5+ minutes to load a one-page pdf. Restarting the computer solved the problem for a day, then it reverted to the issue. Microsoft Office ran incredibly slow and the system would freeze regularly. We had to return it after a week it was so bad.

coming off the pro I couldn't be more disappointed! I was told by the store keep that both the m1 processor and the battery were top notch. I do zero gaming so don't see any difference in the chip and this battery dies within the 12 hour day EVERY DAY! not even my phone accomplishes that tiny feat...

I tried this MacBook Air but did not understand any of the programs, so I went with a HP Pavilion Aio - DOO14 -27-17 to pick it up on January 20, 2021 once my Dell have been input all of my information including my Microsoft 365 and Quicken. Thanks for everything!! Diana Miller

They simply use marketing gimmicks to try and convince consumers that their product is actually quality. I did not buy this for me. It was for someone who likes apple. All the typical apple problems.

Not happy at all with this due to the unavailability of so many common apps that I used only other apple products.

Apples First M1 Processor is a flop. Get a newer mac book and you’ll be better off.
