The new MacBook Air works great but the fact that it only has two ports is disappointing. No USB port! Only two ports that accommodate the charger or accessories you con purchase to use USB, HDMI or other ports. I wish it had been pointed out to me.

Overall has been a wonderful machine. I just wish they didn't slow down so much after a couple of years. Love the color and the user friendly interface. Also love how all Apple products just seamlessly work together in harmony.

I have been happy with this computer overall but I wish it had more storage capacity. Otherwise it functions very quickly, updating it quicker than before and the fingerprint ID for unlocking is very useful and convenient. I have really appreciated how lightweight and easy to use all of the features are. I wish it had more ports, etc, but with additional hubs added it is quite functional.

The MacBook Air is light weight, compact and perfect for traveling. I could no longer upgrade the system on my old Air, so it was time to replace it. I got my first Air because it was a small laptop with a flash drive, which isn't as likely to have problems from traveling with me on my motorcycle. This new MacBook Air 13.3" is larger, which has its good and bad points, but the quality of the monitor is astounding and the M1 chip is fast! I am not thrilled with the lack of a USB 3.0 port. Printers, thumb drives, peripherals of all types all still use USB 3.0, not USB C, so you have to buy and carry an adapter. I'm also not thrilled with the power plug not being a magnetic connection. It would be so easy to accidentally break off the plug, which I understood was the reason they went to magnets on laptops. Despite these complaints, I am quite happy with this laptop.

Very fast computer. Light weight. Beautiful display. Rather delicate. I recommend adding a screen saver to avoid a cracked screen. Could use more ports to avoid having to add dongles to attach external drives, printers, etc.

Price, size, weight, screen view, battery life & speed are great. Miss having a USB port.

I found this to be better than expected. Extremely lightweight, easy to carry around. When you open it boots up automatically reasonable size screen without being too large. Battery life lasts all day for sure. It has only two ports so that seems like a limitation. Quick transfer of data to external drives. The only really limitations is the Mac operating system that explains itself in detail and labels everything, but despite that you can’t understand what the implications of what you choose would actually be and you have to make a choice.

This is my upgrade for my MacBook Pro 2012, This M1 chip is very fast and I am a casual user and mostly using this for video editing using Final Cut Pro and it is flawless. If you go with M1 you will no longer go back to Intel. I would definitely recommend it, the only downside is you only have 2 USB C ports which is not a deal breaker to me I purchased a USB hub to go with this. What I love about this MBA is lightweight and battery life is great.

Big improvement on the keyboard, and the retina screen is really good. I've learned to like the fingerprint password feature. Easy to travel with. I do not like not having a usb port and having to use an adapter. That's a big inconvenience. M1 chip is faster than my last MacBook Air. I got space gray and it doesn't hide scratches and smudges as well as silver. Had the laptop for nearly six months and no problems.

I have been using this Macbook for a few months now for work and personal use and I love it. It's snappy, the speakers are great, it's super quiet with the passive cooling, it's light and fits well in a small bag. Best laptop keyboard and trackpad I have ever used. I can even edit photos in lightroom on my couch now. The lack of ports is kind of annoying, but I love the usb c charging.

Bought this for my wife to replace her 2011 Air and it is so much faster, even compared to today’s devices. The new M1 chip is great but check to make sure any software you are using regularly is supported since this is a new chip design. Check Parallels, MS Office and Adobe titles such as Photoshop to make sure they will be fully supported. Much better keyboard and design make the older devices feel clunky.

A week into owning a Mac and I’m actually really happy with it. Always have been a windows person so it was a big adjustment at first but overall really happy. Great for college classes since it has 18hrs battery life, airdrop, super light, makes no sound, and generates no heat. Can’t give it a full 5 stars because of the difficulty I had getting two monitors to connect to it.

Compared to my previous Mac Air, this new model is a trim, compact beauty with increased speed, battery life, and storage. The only downside is that I had to get an adapter for USB port, which I need for outside devices (like earphones and external hard drive) and video connections.

Bought an open box and the condition was as good as new. This laptop is perfect for anyone accomplishing work or for leisure. Fast, simple, and beautiful is what comes to mind. Which every piece and material was manifested from during its craft. It may not be the cheapest (~ $1000) but it is worth every cent.

I think all the reviews are almost spot on. + The best battery life I have seen in a laptop. + Great Mac screen + for basic video editing very efficient and quick + very smooth OS However, as a long-time windows user coming over after all the reviews here are some points to note; - still buggy, Mac is not a perfect OS and still has occasional lags and software glitches which can be annoying - external monitor support is surprisingly terrible. I have had to install a number of additional applications to enable native display on 4k monitors and even then it is not the smoothest - 8 gb is very well utilized but if you're like me and leave your computer on with a bunch of apps open and go back and forth you'll notice some slowing down after a while - if you use Citrix for work apps, it is generally smooth but quite buggy I think the M1 chip is still in infancy and has great potential

The M1 Macbooks were my first step into the Mac ecosystem, and the laptop itself is easily the best I've used. The speed of the computer is unreal and makes me forget that it only has 8 GB of RAM. The experience of this laptop has been extremely convenient and easy to switch over to from prior laptops. The only issue (and it is a big one) is that download speeds can be extremely long. I'm not sure if this is an issue with just mine, but documents and assignments take much longer to download in comparison to even my phone. I have yet to test it with an ethernet cable, but long download times are something you may need to be wary of when buying this laptop. Other than that issue, however, the laptop has been extremely light and capable, and it fits all the needs to help me be productive in college.
