It's been a few years since I've bought a Madden game so I'm glad I bought this one. Game play is great and the graphics are really good.

Madden games are always the best! Madden 19 is noon approved with better graphics and also updated team rosters. The different modes are fun and also a great time to play with friends online! I would recommend this game for anyone and is also kid friendly.

Nominal upgrade from madden 18. A few new animations, the Longshot story mode doesn't seem as intriguing or as long as last year's game. Franchise mode is about the same. If not for the roster update and being able to hear the eagles are superbowl champions during the intro, I may have traded it in already.

As someone who gets this game every year, I really like some of the changes they've made to this year's version. I play a ton of franchise mode (less some of the other modes, such as Ultimate Team), and they really updated Franchise nicely with Scheme Fits, new positions under depth chart, and upgrading players. I haven't played through multiple seasons yet, but can tell that it will be really enjoyable to build multiple teams. The gameplay is solid, I like that they brought back touchdown and sack celebrations, but still working through some of the individual sliders; I highly recommend changing user and CPU sliders to get a more realistic game (for instance, on default settings running the ball can be a bit ridiculous). The commentary still needs some updating; I like the announcers, and the addition of the Coach for pregame and halftime was a neat touch, but too much repeated lines and commentary that doesn't sink up with what's going down on the field (ex., talking about making a great catch in the Super Bowl as if it's being played, but it's only Week 2). Still, I would definitely recommend getting this game overall. I like the graphical enhancements of the Xbox One X addition especially :)

Pretty run of the mill Madden experience. If you like previous version of Madden you'll like this. If previous versions of Madden left you wanting more, this likely will too. The run controls have been changed, otherwise controls are fairly similar to previous versions. I don't do all of the MUT junk and I know that's the appeal for a lot of people, so you may enjoy this version more than I do. The whole thing has a new menu setup, which makes it feel fresh as compared to previous years. Still suffers from some bugginess in gameplay at times (threw a bullet pass on a out route immediately into his break and receiver kept running out of bounds despite plenty of room to turn up field). There are new offensive and defensive schemes and additional depth chart positions, which is a nice bonus. The visuals are mostly improved over previous years, still some odd ugliness here and there. The commentary is stale since most of it is exactly the same as Madden 18. Overall, not bad, not great, about what you'd expect at this point.

This is the ONLY game I buy year in year out beginning with Madden 64 for the Nintendo 64, this game 2 had an unfortunate aspect, the NFL didn't license this version thus not allowing any teams likeness on the game. So it was not possible 2 play Vikings vs. Packers instead it'd be Minnesota vs. Green Bay. Madden 20 boasts the biggest flop as far as cover athlete goes, now I liked Brown as a player, juss not as an individual. The Mobile version did however change the cover athlete 2 Patrick Mahomes which would've suited 20 from the beginning. Otherwise everything from the prior year was improved N kept quite similar so skill can be developed without learning new button configurations (4 the most part)...

Easily one of the best Maddens in the last decade. From gameplay to graphics, game modes and features, it's all been upgraded and better than ever. A+ and I never buy Madden anymore, I had to this year, well worth it!

I bought this at the request of my son. He has recently gotten into football. So far, he is really enjoying it. The game can be as complicated or as easy as you would like it. There are tons and tons of practice options, play calls, player configurations, stats, scores, etc. It is just like a real 16 week season of the NFL. But, it is also easy enough that you don't have to dive in with both feet to enjoy it. Younger kids with short attention spans and lack of patience can easily go in and start having fun with little training. I like that you can make the game as shallow or in-depth as you would like. The graphics on the XB1 are very good. The play calls and commentators keep the game interesting and feel just like you are watching a game on Sunday. I would recommend. It is good family fun.

Like tons, I have been a Madden player for decades. Like fewer, I only play in Franchise Mode, generally offline. Hence generally speaking to Franchise Mode. EA slowly improved FRANCHISE mode -- this season is the same, touch-ups mostly, as at the core it still is the same and lacks in handling of player contracts, namely no 1st rounder 5 year extensions, tenders, still the really DUMB system that spreads resigns out over the coarse of the REGULAR season, no contract restructuring, no restricted FA handling AT ALL. The only recourse is the player editor allows you just deal with it, but that really sucks. On the good side, the NEW Draft Class Editor... that is very cool if that your thing. I see it was a way to allow users to overcome flaws in the game draft-class degradation that effected previous titles... so OK, new editor, uses have at it! Overall the same is very good. Great if you are NEW to Madden. Like always, some bugs to be worked out. Game play is fun! I stopped upgrading ever year -- not enough value --so this is a two-year upgrade for me. I appreciate many of the new features with the new engine from last year, but still mostly tweaks/fixes functionally speaking, Hence I would be nearly as content had I waited another year. What NEW do I get out of Franchise Mode --basically an editor. Overall, if are new to MADDEN, is a 5-start game (bugs aside). If you are long-timer, it's a cool and all. As a Steeler fan, had to get it with AB on the cover!

I got a great deal on this because Madden 20 just came out. I am an occasional gamer so didn't necessarily need the newest game. This game is fun, plays smoothly and is incredibly better than the last time I owned one of these probably 15 years ago on a different system.

Great game! I’ve been a fan of Madden games since about ‘08. As usual, ‘19 is another great addition the the series, but it’s not an incredible step up unless you have an Xbox One X and 4K TV to take advantage of the new graphics. Other wise, you can wait to buy it until it’s cheaper.

This is my first Madden purchase in two years, the graphics are really good, the gameplay is a little complex (catching the ball seemed a little complex) but serious Madden fans will enjoy the gameplay and the fluidity the players move with; players faces look like very realistic

Solid version this year. Hesi stick addition is a nice option but the hit stick and truck stick are not as effective. Overall good graphics and same game play. Be aware it does have several glitches they need to work out just like every Madden when it is first released.

People always complain about Madden but I have no complaints. it is the people exploiting the game! Been playing competitive madden for years and enjoy this game. The graphics are great and MUT is solid. If your someone who doesn't want to spend money in MUT play draft champions or play the salary cap mode. The only complaint I have is people playing safeties and linebackers. Fast people running all over the field and it doesn't seem they get penalized against the run. They should make weight more of a factor so these safeties a LB get blown up in the hole against the run and cant shed blocks left and right to guys who weigh 100 + then them. Overall, Madden has always been my go to video game and basically the only game I play almost year around.

I use to play an older version of this game and I have to say the graphics are amazing! The style of this game is very similar to how the older versions are, which I like. For someone who isn’t a hard core gamer, this is a fun game to play casually.

This game feels more realistic, basically on my X1X. However, there are a lot of bugs and the story longshot mode is not as good as last years. The menu layout is better and clearer this year than last year. If you live football, you must get this game.

Another year with glitches and commentary issues out of the box. It’s disappointing this still occurs. With that said the trade in deal with 18 was well worth it. With this being the only viable aim it still plays well with tweeks to the sliders.
