Awesome game with great action. Probably the best in the series. Would recommend getting Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes and play that before to get you up to date on the story and get some decent extras that you can upload right to the Phantom Pain from the main menu, Ground Zeroes is also very short but well worth it. Both are excellent.

The "final" chapter of one of the greatest series has been out for a couple of months now and it does not disappoint. Very long considering that there are side missions to do which does kill alot of time and beautiful graphics. From my experience of playing all of the previous titles, this will not be my most favorite installment. You'll have fun playing and exploring more of the characters background. Online to me is not the same compared to the MGS4 version(now that was amazing) it feels different and lacks in my opinion. I havent really bothered with the base hi-jack mode where you invade anothers own base. Wish they would have had a unique boss unit like the previous games, The mist unit just wasnt satisfying for me though, Cobra Unit was great so were the Infamous Foxhound. Overall the game is a masterpiece just without the famous snake voice.

Exactly as it says. It's a hard-as-nails open-world stealth game full of cardboard boxes, words that kill, and scantily-dressed women who will make you ashamed for your words and actions. You know, typical Kojima stuff. Ordinarily, this would garner a 10/10 on any other review. My few complaints are that the game, while certainly playable on the Xbox 360, most likely plays better on a higher-end console/PC (I only bought it on a 360 because I don't have a One and my laptop doesn't have a compatible graphics card). Also, it has been confirmed that there are several microtransactions scattered throughout the game, which aren't a deal-breaker if it weren't for the fact that Konami's servers for Xbox are nonexistent and, honestly, the game didn't need microtransactions in the first place. But if you can put all that aside, it's an excellent game to bookend Kojima's final Metal Gear game, as well as Konami's last chance to make money before their unholy pachinko-mobile-casino slots trinity of money-printing plans backfires in their face.

This game will go down as a MGS classic!!! Free roam in a huge environment and infiltrate enemy bases of your choice rescuing prisoners while shooting/blowing your way through it all while having a sidekick with you while you build up your own base by finding soldiers in the field and stealing resources and weapons from the enemy. This MGS is different from the others. I put this one overall below MGS1 and about the same as MGS3. Story line and boss fights not as good as MGS1 or MGS3 I would give it 4 1/4 stars there. But the weapons, tactical action, gameplay, fun factor, controls, graphics are all 5 stars and is better than MGS1 or MGS3 in some of these categories. For the first time in MGS it's fun to get seen by the enemies. Highly recommend!!!

This game is awesome. I don't know where to begin. The game play open world and you can approach missions in a number of ways. Stealth, all out guns a blazing, backup support. Graphics are good as well, and the soundtrack is great. A little disappointed that the missions tend to repeat at the end and the ending leaves a lot left out. Oh yeah, the weapon customizations are almost endless. Great weapons as well. Get this game!

Hideo Kojima's last game in the Metal Gear Solid series — even if Konami was too hard-headed to keep his name on the box — is his most grandiose yet. After the rollercoaster ride of a prologue, you're dropped into a massive countryside to explore, sneak through and claim for yourself. The graphics are fantastic. I don't know how the Fox Engine squeezed magic out of his ancient hardware, but it's impressive. Metal Gear Solid 5, while not a system exclusive, is a great swan song for the Xbox 360.

I wish I had known and carefully examined the box before I purchased this game that it required a hard drive. Overall, this game is long and at times difficult. I Still enjoy it

This game is definitely my pick of game of the year. I bought it on ALL platforms and the amount of content you get in this game and the scale of overwhelmingly great. Familiar with the series or not it is still a must own and very easy to pick up and play. MUST BUY!

MGS5 goes beyond. With Hideo Kojima no longer helming the MGS Franchise he & his team at Kojima Productions went all out to make this Kojimas last MGS game an epic finale this is a must buy for MGS fans & new to those who are new to the series. Thank You Hideo Kojima for all ur work. MGS5 The Phantom Pain is GOTY

This is the last Metal Gear Solid game from Kojima but he went out on a high note with innovative gameplay! Although consoles have moved on to next gen, this release still looks excellent (albeit with slightly longer load times)

Fun open world stealth-action game with a great story. Note: Mandatory hard drive installation is required in order to play this game on the Xbox 360. Cannot be installed to a USB flash drive. Make sure you or the person you're buying the game for has a non-arcade model Xbox 360 with a hard disk drive and at least 4GB of free space before ordering.

Metal Gear Solid V is a great game that follows in the footsteps of its predecessors in terms of gameplay. The story, though weak at points, holds up in line with the other game. I recommend it for any Metal Gear fan.

This game is great. Every Metal Gear Solid game offers something new, and packs some mind twisting story lines that has fans playing for hours and The Phantom Pain is no different. No longer will you spend hours listening to your codec. It's all done through a radio that is integrated into regular play. The stories experience has a very different feel to it when being compared to the other Metal Gear games, as well as the game play. Everything has been brought up to par with new game standards.
