Serves the purpose of mating car wiring to aftermarket head unit. Wires on this adpater could be a little longer and there is no wire to mate with the factory steering wheel control wire. Therefore if using a steering wheel control adapter that wire in the car harness must be cut. Summary: not perfect but far preferable to cutting all the factory wires.

this part was hard to find. Best buy was the only local place I could get it. It did work exactly as expected.
