This game is pretty fun, and it's not too difficult. But occasionally, there are points in which the button prompts pass too quickly and it's easy to die. This wouldn't be a big deal if you re-started relatively close to the point at which you died, but unfortunately the checkpoints in this game are incredibly far apart. When I would die, I would often have to sit through the last ten minutes or more of the game to get back to where I was. For a game that is much more watching than playing, this is an extremely frustrating thing. There were times where I wanted to keep playing, but just couldn't stand to sit through a large portion of the game again that I had just sat through, in the hopes that I would get the button prompts correct when they flashed up there again when I FINALLY got back to the spot that I had died. Granted, most of the prompts in this game give a fair amount of time to react and are pretty forgiving, but certainly not all of them! And that's besides the point anyway. There is no reason that the game should set you back so far if you die, no matter how frequently or infrequently it happens. This killed it for my kids and almost killed it for me too. There were times I turned it off because I had zero desire to sit through the same ten or fifteen minutes for a third time in a row, and then I also had no motivation to turn it back on again later, knowing that was what was waiting for me. Overall, I like the game but again, I absolutely loathed that one thing about it, and despite my interest in other Telltale games, I won't be checking them out, as I assume they will be the same way.

Adds some background and direction to the randomness of minecraft. The story is engaging and funny, giving consequence to choices without feeling overly punishing. Features prominent youtubers your minecraft fan is probably familiar with.

I wanted a hard copy of a Minecraft game for the switch. I had the understanding before hand this doesn’t play like a normal Minecraft game. Not a problem this game has been hours of fun while traveling and a steal for $15.

Fun spinoff game for any minecraft lover, the voice acting is good and the story is good.

We picked this up for my 10 year-old, who is a fan of the Minecraft games. It proved to be an interesting diversion and he played through the story over several days. I was surprised to see and hear some adult language sprinkled into what feels like a kid-friendly game, so watch for that if you're particular about such things.

If you are familiar with the game mechanics, and youtubers that play minecraft, you will fall in love with this game. It adds that story line you have been waiting for in the original Minecraft game. Most importantly, the choices you make will alter the outcome of the game.

Like all the other telltale games there are slight hiccups but it still does a great job of telling a story that you’ll become very invested in the characters. Regardless if you don’t like Minecraft the story is well done with plenty of humor and heartbreak.

I bought this as a gift for my little brother and he LOVED it!! It’s such a fun game. This is the story mode so you get to go through an actual story instead of being in creative and free range.

If you enjoy playing the original Minecraft and want to try something different, this is for you. The story is a bit meh but seeing Minecraft from this perspective is really refreshing.

The stories in the telltale series games are always interesting and entertaining. It might get a little bit slow at times of dialogue but it picks up and the action picks up for it!

My son loves Minecraft and this is his favorite version to date. To be honest, I don't play that much, but the expert of the house chooses this game above all others.

Purchased as a gift for my 9-year-old who loves everything Minecraft. He loves that the story can have different outcomes based on the choices that you make in the game.

I was erroneously informed that this game had the traditional Minecraft mode in it, it doesn't. Still a good Tell Tale game, but then again, which one isn't.

Bought for my nephew. Played on cell phone, and his 360 way back. Looks cheesy I know, but it's fun to play. Even for adults. Beat it in 3hours from start.

For anyone who loves playing minecraft this is a must have. On the nintendo switch this game truly shines as being able to take this game where ever you want.
