The details mentioned in the specification is misleading. It says "Sim Card Slots: Dual Sim". I went to the store and Geek Squad in the store they confirmed that they only have one slot. They would not replace my phone as the return is passed. I trusted the description and opened the box when I was abroad. As Best Buy sold me wrong I was suppose they would at least replace it. But instead they showed me 14 days return police.

I purchased a $199 Motorola Edge phone on November 25, 2025 along with Geek Squad Protection. On December 2, 2025, the phone’s battery failed catastrophically. It began shooting flames from the side, destroying the phone, case, and screen protector. I returned to the store the same day. Despite having the protection plan, I was charged $45 for a replacement device. Within three weeks, the replacement phone developed another failure and would not charge beyond 10 percent. At that point, the support process became a loop. The store could not locate my protection plan and sent me to Geek Squad support. Geek Squad confirmed the plan and sent me back to the store. The store then told me they do not replace Android batteries and instructed me to file a repair or replacement claim instead. I filed the claim as directed. The insurer, Assurant, informed me they could not provide a replacement because Motorola has discontinued this model (makes sense, spontaneous combustion is not a good quality in an electronic product). I was then told my only option was a “buyout.” To receive compensation, I was instructed to pay Assurant $218 in order for them to reimburse me. Repeated attempts to reach Assurant by phone ended with the automated system disconnecting the call each time. I am just going to go back to an Apple device. I would not recommend this or any Motorola product to anyone in good faith after this experience. I would also recommned purchasing electronic products from Amazon or the manufacturer, as Best Buy is an impediment to getting repairs done. I also notice that the prices are less when you go directly to the source, so I'm not sure what value Best Buy adds.

I personally bought this phone for my husband to use for uber but the battery drains drastically without having to put him his SIM card. I will like to return this phone any time soon.

Hi BerlindaB, We’re sorry to hear that you had to go through this and that the device didn’t meet your expectations. For the battery performance you described, it may help to try a few basic steps before completing a return. Even without a SIM card, background processes and apps can still cause noticeable battery drain. You may want to check for available software updates, reduce background app activity, and test the phone in Safe Mode to see if a third-party app is contributing to the drain. If the battery continues to drain quickly after these steps, we understand your decision to return the device. In that case, please proceed with the return through the original place of purchase, as they will be able to assist you with the return process directly. If you would like further help before returning it, you can also reach us at supportforums@motorola.com and we’ll be glad to assist you further. -Mitch

I ordered a Motorola Edge 2025 and received an empty small envelope not large enough to hold a phone and Best buy is refusing to refund or resend the phone. I went in person to the West Nyack store and they agreed that a phone wouldn't fit in the envelope but couldn't issue a refund because it was ordered on line. Best buy claims the order was fulfilled because a package was delivered. Meanwhile they have my $487.68. I will never do business with Best buy again. They use a third party shipping company (shipt) which is not insured. Ridiculous.

Hi MaryM, We’re very sorry to hear about the issue with your order and the challenges you’ve faced with Best Buy’s customer service. While Motorola does not control third-party retailers or their shipping policies, we understand how frustrating this situation must be. We recommend contacting Best Buy’s corporate customer support directly and providing all your order and delivery details for further escalation. -Carlos

This is the last motorola phone I will ever buy. I previously had the Motorola Edge+ and I absolutely loved it until I accidentally cracked the screen. This phone is newer but has a less powerful processor and terrible battery life by comparison. It also has invasive adware called Glance that pops up on your lock screen displaying ads and turns itself back on once week even after you disable and uninstall it. It probably won't be long before I buy something else but it definitely won't be another Motorola. They are going to continue losing lifelong customers with ridiculous decisions like putting invasive adware on the lockscreen of their phones and not selling their flagship phone models with higher end processors on the US market. I'm really regretting my decision to purchase this and would not recommend buying this phone or any other new Motorola products.

Trouble with speakers, double tap works when it wants to, display is nice though. Fast charging is great. Price was okay for what I got and didn't get from this phone.. It's a poor backup phone now. Not sure why I can't trade this in at mortorla website? The saying goes..You get what pay for but in this case the price should've been less.

If you have regular sized hands. You would have to turn the phone sideways to text on it and even then, it will hit multiple digits. The reviews I read were obviously promotions as this device cuts out and resets itself. 14 day return policy and RESTOCKING fee

I have had miseries with this phone and visited the Geek Squad for that very reason. My most recent visit with the Geek Squad led to the attendant making all sorts of actions with the phone that left it unable to ring, so I never know who is calling me. I have posted the entire story on the 12-page PDF whose link I am posting below. Please see that someone processes it. Do not call me on the defective phone; email and fax will reach me where phone calls will not. Twelve page letter requesting phone swap to get preferred phone 10/02/2025 https://authorhouse.haus/4mEhC1D Please process this immediately without delay. I requested to swap it for the phone that I originally wanted to buy that Best Buy has listed on the website. The replacement phone is cheaper than the one that I bought, but if a swap can be made, I will accept it as a fair trade so I can have a functioning phone!

I am very disappointed with this phone, as it is the poorest-quality device I have ever owned. First, the charging port broke shortly after purchase. When it was repaired, the technicians installed the Android 15 software, which caused the phone to become extremely slow and frequently freeze. Due to these ongoing issues, I decided to purchase another phone, as I had to send this one back to the factory once again to fix it. i got small scratch on the screen. The video camera does not working.

Hi JoyceR, Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear about the unstable performance and the difficulties you’ve experienced with apps and support access. We understand how frustrating it is when a device requires frequent resets and key apps like messaging are not working reliably. To help improve stability, we recommend restarting the phone, checking for the latest software update under Settings > System > Software update, and ensuring there is sufficient free storage, as low storage can contribute to app crashes and system slowdowns. For the messaging app specifically, you can also try going to Settings > Apps > Messages > Storage & cache > Clear cache, and then test again. Clearing the cache will remove any temporary files being stored by the device. If the behavior continues, testing the device in Safe Mode can help determine whether a third-party app is causing the instability.
For support assistance, if you’re unable to reach help through phone channels, you can also send us an email at supportforums@motorola.com with details about the message app behavior and the resets required, and our team will be glad to assist you further. -Mitch

I bought a Motorola Edge 2024, but I had to return it because the touchscreen was unresponsive. Furthermore, the screen colors kept changing, and the phone would turn itself off and on spontaneously.

Bought the phone 6 months ago and hate it. No notes app installed and the apps on google play aren't any good. Does not store screenshots in the photos, no back button, swipe 2 times to unlock screen, setting the alarm for a 1 time use is a pain. After having a iPhone and a Samsung, this phone is crap. I should have just spent the money and bought another Samsung.

I really wanted to like this phone. I switched from iphone to this phone. I did everything google and Apple support recommended, i just couldn’t receive text messages from Apple users. I received the phone calls but no text. I had to turn off all my apple devices because the text would go there, when i did that i got no text at all. The android text came through with no problem.
