I bought the Moto G Play (2024) a couple of weeks ago, and I’m genuinely impressed. For such a cheap Android phone, it handles all the basics really well and offers amazing value for the price. **Performance**: It runs on Android 13, and everything feels smooth and reliable. Apps load quickly, and it handles browsing, streaming, and social media with no issues at all. What’s nice is that even though it’s a budget phone, it gives you the same basic Android experience as Motorola’s flagship models—clean, straightforward, and without unnecessary bloatware. **Display**: The 6.5-inch screen is bright and colorful. While it’s not full HD, it’s still great for watching videos and scrolling through photos. For the price, it’s more than enough for everyday use. **Battery Life**: This is easily one of the best features. The battery lasts a full two days, even with regular use. I don’t have to think about charging it constantly, which is a lifesaver for someone always on the go. **Camera**: The 50MP camera takes really nice photos in good lighting. The macro lens is a fun addition, though I don’t use it much. The selfie camera works well for video calls and casual photos, and overall, the camera performance is solid for the price. **Build**: The phone feels sturdy despite being made of plastic, and I appreciate the water-repellent design for extra durability. It doesn’t feel cheap in your hand, which is great for something in this price range. **The Downside**: One thing that really disappointed me was that the phone doesn’t come with a USB wall charger anymore. I know this is becoming standard for a lot of brands, but it’s frustrating to buy a phone and not have everything you need to charge it out of the box. For a budget phone especially, this feels like an unnecessary corner to cut. **Overall**: If you’re looking for a very decent, cheap Android phone that can handle the basics, the Moto G Play (2024) is a great option. It’s affordable but still delivers the same smooth Android experience as Motorola’s more expensive models. The long battery life and clean software are highlights, but I wish they’d included a wall charger. Even with that drawback, it’s a fantastic phone for the price!

I am pleasantly surprised by how well this phone works. I needed an unlocked phone that I can use internationally as as I traveled. It has worked great, processing is just as fast as my iphone 13 pro max. can't really tell the difference. Has plenty of storage at 64GBs. No complaints. Love the phone and recommend it.

For the price $140 it is a great 2nd phone It has all the features you would find in pricier units *mid range* the only problem I had was I damaged the screen and had it replaced. the replacement screen was garbage ... no reflection on the Moto G For a sub $500 phone it is hard to beat. pics were crisp and tunes were load ... I am good :)

It is good for the price. I got it for a young child so it does what I needed it to do. Camera quality is poor but it is a sturdy phone so far.

I like the price of what i paid for the phones because i bought 2 for my kids. the gentlemen gave good customer service all though i had questions and he looked like he was getting impatient due to people making a line, kinda making me feel pressure to hurry up, when there was also other employees there that could help and I asked for a bag and he said some one by the entrance could give me one, there was nobody there.

I'm 77 yo so it took me a while to learn how to do what I want on this phone. Once someone showed me how to assess the options I was fine. For younger folks it probably won't take a second to learn. It has a speaker that works great and loud as well as an alarm. I wish the alarm was a little louder because when I'm using it to wake up it's sometimes too soft but I love the alarm so I don't miss my appointments. Screen is large enough and clear while photos surprised me at how clear they are - even codes (for returns etc,) show up really great. Sound is great and it holds it's charge for quite a while.

I am using this phone past few weeks with moderate usage. Here is my findings - 1. Battery life is great 2. Apps and activities run smoothly 3. Not 5G so mobile internet is sluggish 4. Camera is decent (can't expect much as per price point irrespective of specs)

I only use a cellphone to make and receive phone calls and text messages; now and then I'll take a snapshot -- that's it. As my old dying Obamaphone was Android 9, this phone is fantastic in every respect: screen size and resolution, speed, sound quality, camera, etc. Have always had good experiences shopping at Best Buy. The bad news is after six weeks of very light use, I noticed the screen is cracked diagonally upper right corner to lower left. Once, when sitting in a beach chair it slipped out of my pocket and fell maybe 12" to concrete. I guess that was enough to break it? The crack is barely noticeable and the phone still works fine, it's just a bit disappointing that it's so fragile.

Bought this phone for my elderly father to use who needs basic features. Was able to change the language settings, upload any info needed fast, and the tour of the phone was a breeze. We chose this one based on camera pixels, brand name, storage capacity, and price of course. He is very happy with it only complaint is the charging seems to set off some kind of vibration we haven’t been able to figure out to turn off. Doesn’t seem to bother him, but I found that to be strange and annoying.

I had an iPhone 14 but was tired of the att charges. I was paying $130+ per month for one line. Switched to mint mobile and got this phone because the cheaper one was sold out. But, I knew going into it that it wouldn't compare to my last phone. It works well for sure! It's got everything you need, I'm using it on mint mobile and get good service in my area. I've used it for doordashing (as a driver) and it typically works just fine. I've had it freeze on me once but a quick restart got it back up and running. It does take a bit to restart after being turned off. But, the batter life is good. Camera works alright. (It's not anything to write home about). I use it mostly for calls/texts/light web browsing/Snapchat/Facebook/directions and it handles it all fine. Dont expect anything super fancy, but it will do the basics just fine. If you can get it when it's on sale it is an affordable option. And with mint mobile, I signed up for 3 months at $15/month for an upfront cost of around $200 with the phone. That's just more than a month of service with my last phone. Setup was easy, I was able to transfer my number and it has been great!
