The main thing differentiating this card from other AIB cards is the size. I was hesitant to try out the smaller heatsink, however, it does seem to be rather effective. At stock the card is fairly quiet, no louder than other high end 3 fan cards. I do lock it down somewhat using v-sync at 165 fps, so the power consumption and framerate are pretty in check. No coil whine noticed in my sample, but I do have my pc under my desk, so noise isn't as essy to pick up on. By comparison, my arc a750 sounds like a street lamp turning on. Games run smoothly paired with a 7800x3d. Realistically, it is supreme overkill as games aren't made intrinsically better with greater fidelity. For a good value, go for a 4070/7800 xt.

I'm very surprised that this was actually in stock and by that...I mean 1 in a 100 mile radius. This slim design fits perfectly in my case, with room to spare, and stays cool even in long gaming sessions. I upgraded from a 3090 (moved that into my other desktop) and I actually can tell the difference between the two. I play in 4K with 3 monitors so yes I needed the "overkill" of this card and it did not disappoint!

Previously had a RTX 4090 Gaming X Trio and these are my thoughts and observations between the two. The Gaming X Slim is much smaller both in thickness, 4 slot vs 3 slot, and length, 337mm to 322mm. This doesn't seem like a lot but it really opens the door for the use of smaller ITX cases, which I prefer. It isn't FE size, but that card is nearly impossible to get. The second major difference for me is the coil whine. With the Gaming X Trio, I could hear it chirping away under full load and even undervolted it was still audible. This was through a quieter case that had glass panels instead of a mesh sided case I am using for the Gaming Slim now. With the Gaming X Slim, I can't hear it at all at normal distance under full load. If I put my ear right up to the case I can hear it above the GPU fans, but just barely. Overall I am very happy I sold the Gaming X Trio and got the Gaming X Slim.

Easy pickup, awesome card! Cyberpunk running at max with an AMD 7800x3D, Star Citizen over 100fps!

Mindboggling performance. Coming from a 3080 I was very surprised how much of an upgrade this GPU is. If you have the money, upgrading is a no brainer.

Bought it to play the new Ark Survival Ascended and any other UE5 games. This is a must have for upcoming games.

It's a 4090 what else can I say? Good temps under load

I wanted to upgrade to 4090 but i was worried about my case not fitting anything from 4080 to 4090. This card is however the only exception and i am happy with the purchase. The coil whine is not very commin and may come sometimes for few seconds only and its all good after wards. Works great with 850 psu. It also runs cool and performs as expected.

Love it. Slim means bigger than a 3090 ftw3 ultra, apparently, which was a pretty big card, but she's cool, quiet, and mean. All my games run 2.5x smoother, I get more kills, and it looks slick. What's not to like?

Bought this card 2 months ago when it first arrived into the scene. I was think of the FE card but I did some research and find out it was producing the most heat out of all cards but attracted to the 450 watts compared to other cards. This card fit my needs with cooler temps under full load. Smaller than all the other cards other than the FE card. Draws the least power only to match the FE. I play in my 65" Samsung Q90A with game mode on. It will last me for many years with this good investment. I work hard for my money and I want to play hard too.

This card is a face melter in 4k gaming with ultra settings. Gaming on a LG c3 oled paired with this completes my soul. The sag bracket is kind of useless and the design of it kind of sucks. The card fits in a fractal design torrent compact case with 7mm of space. Also this card has 2 HDMI outs. For whatever reason BBY only showed one hdmi at the time I purchased. Good luck finding this bad boy at retail pricing at the time of this writing. .

Upgraded from the MSI 3080ti Trio and this doubled my FPS, among other enhancements. Runs quiet and smooth without any issue. Be sure to customize your fan speeds for your case and you can set this to make little to no noise while still keeping everything nice and cool. At 75% fan utilization, this thing is nearly silent and keeps the card under 80 degrees C. Excellent purchase!

Card is amazing. Plays any game at highest settings without any issue. I opted for this particular model since it was one of the only 4090 cards that would (barely) fit in my case. Card runs cool (I have a case with good airflow and lots of fans). Card is also extremely quiet even when gaming. Overall, fantastic card.

Cart has very high performance and operates relatively silent. Smaller size definitely helps to fit in smaller cases. Unfortunately, my card had loud coil whine under load, and GPU temperature was 6-10c hotter than 4090FE.

So far so good. Fantastic performance. No noticeable coil whine. I was surprised that Temps are looking good. Then again i left the clocks at stock & i'm not trying to OC it.

The MSI RTX 4090 Gaming X Slim GPU is the perfect upgrade for my computer. It offers vastly improved resolutions while gaming (4k ultra) as well as accelerated content creation by handling DaVinci Resolve 4k video with ease, drastically reducing my workload. BestBuy had it a the MSRP at a time when the price for the RTX 4090 has been increasing so my wallet is very happy also.
