The Connection between the Controller and Power Supply is a special 6 pin cord so unfortunately a usb extension cable will not be applicable for that. But keep in mind that any portion of the Lightstrip that is trimmed off cannot be reattached. This Lightstrip is non-extendable, so you cannot connect additional pieces to extend the length.
