Easy to set-up! I live in an old house (plaster walls) and even with a WiFi extender speeds were slow (~25Mbps on the 5G band), and slower on the 2G which was the only band that made it to the basement were my backup drive is located. Old house = old wiring (still some knob and tubing lurking about) which, I knew would impact the Powerline. I am getting about 44 Mbps with the Powerline, considerably better than WiFi. Speed/connection is more stable with the Powerline. Backups go faster and for the computer away from the router, downloads are faster using the Powerline vs. WiFi. Very happy with it, much better than drilling holes and snaking an Ethernet cable.

Bought it this morning, installation was super easy! However, there is no major improvement from the ASUS USB Adapter I am currently using! There is a drop in downloads and a little bump in uploads… I don’t think it’s worth this price tag! I was expecting higher uploads/downloads over the USB WIFI Adapter. I did not notice any interruption yet! Will recommend it for teleconferences and other streaming stuff!

I've had these adapters for over a month and I'm very satisfied with their performance. I was looking for adapters that delieverd a solid internet connection to my PS4 which has notoriously spotty WIFI receivers. Great for playing online multiplayer or co-op games where you need little latency. It does not give me gigabit speeds but I don't think my internet does that anyway. Still pretty fast for what I need as a casual gamer and an alternative to spotty WIFI.

This product worked great for extending my wifi to my new garage. Plugged it into my router in the house and into the wall socket. Plugged into the wall socket in garage and added a wifi router. Went from almost no wifi from house router In the garage to wifi equal to in house In the garage. Able to stream in the garage. Great product and simple to install. Highly recommend.

I bought these to connect an office with several wired devices to a router on opposite ends of the house. Because I wasn't keen on running wires at the time, this seemed to be a more reliable and cost-effective solution than buying, say, a WiFi bridge. Setup is pretty simple; just plug each of the adapters into a free wall socket and run an Ethernet cable between the adapters and the devices. There is a pairing process but I didn't have to do that. The devices run reliably on my house wiring, but I've been disappointed with the performance. These are advertised as "gigabit" but I've seen nothing close to that when benchmarking them. Running an iperf benchmark between two machines on either end of the adapters yields transfer speeds between 67-75Mbps; a hardwired connection between those same two machines is well over 900Mbps. In all, these adapters are easy solution to connect devices in the absence of wires, but those looking to transfer big files between local workstations, or those with Internet connections in excess of 50Mbps are going to be bottlenecked.

This was very east to install and start using right away. I work from home and was faced with having to run cords from my cable box to my office to use my company's phone. Someone suggested this item and it works great!

I am super impressed with the quality of the internet boost I got when I used these to hardline my ps4 to the router in the next room. Amazing results

This saved me from putting holes in my dry wall and running cat5 through my ceiling. The darn things work! Plugged one in my den directly to my modem and the other one in the guest bedroom to my desktop and boom, instant hard wired connection.

Works great! I had to move my office into the dining room. Since I'm using a desktop without wifi I had to run a line to the computer tower. This is truly "plug and play". One device connects to the router and the other one anywhere an internet connection is needed (in this case it's my dining room/ office). Works like a charm.

I recently completed interior painting and installation of wood floors. I needed extend my ethernet to another television without messing up my walls or drilling holes in the floors for more wires. The Netgear Powerline 1200 added Ethernet access by simply plugging in two adapters. I now have excellent streaming for my smart TV.

Our home WiFi was a bit lagging I guess, especially for my sons Xbox. We bought it for him as a Xmas present . Not one complaint yet ! No kore resetting the router. Plus he’s a 6th grader and installed it himself.
It works excellently for what it is designed to produce. Very easy to connect and sync up, however, I will have to return it because it cuts off my power, it consistently throws my breaker switch for my lights or sometimes plugs and cuts the gaming station off while playing. I have continued to play with it for four days to see if it would work through, however, not so for me.

The Netgear - Powerline 1200 is a fast and easy way to extend your wired network. I have a wireless router in my main floor and an xbox in the basement. I wanted a wired internet connection for my xbox for on-line gaming. I like how these adaptors only use one outlet, which allows me to plug in my router to the same double outlet receptacle that I use for one of the adaptors. I then plugged the second adaptor into an outlet in the basement. An Ethernet cable connects from my router to the first adaptor and from the second adaptor to my xbox. The adaptors were able to communicate with each other immediately over my cooper electrical lines in my house with no setup. My wired internet now extends to my basement and no more dropped wifi signal. This product is so easy to use.

We used this to get a "wired" connection from our router, that is in the basement, up to our daughters room to plug into her PS5. Before using this she was connecting through Wi-Fi and was constantly getting kicked offline or lagging in video games. This has helped SIGNIFICANTLY. Very good for the price. It is very easy to set up, just plug in and push the buttons on the bottom within 2 minutes of each other.

Our modem and WiFi are located on the second floor of our house. With a recent purchase of a 4K TV mounted in the basement I wanted to ensure the best possible connection. After some research I decided to purchase the AC1200 Powerline Adaptor. I installed it in about 5 minutes. To verify the performance, I conducted a speed test using a lap top computer. Following are my measurements to compare relative speeds: Laptop connected via Ethernet cable to WiFi router, 97 mbps download/ 8 mbps upload; Laptop next to WiFi router (ethernet cable removed) 44 mbps / 2 mbps; Laptop in basement via WiFi, 30mbps / 2mbps; Laptop in basement connected to AC1200 Powerline adaptor with ethernet cable, 95 mbps / 7 mbps; Another advantage of this adaptor is if the WiFi stops transmitting, streaming video to the TV continues uninterrupted.

Good device for establishing a "wired" connection from the cable modem across the house to a computer without any wireless ability. By using the house electrical wiring, it does not need to have a dedicated Ethernet line installed. Setting up a secure link was easy. These units have almost the same speed as directly connecting into the cable modem. I also use a 3rd adapter to my laptop in my office where the wifi is weak. These Netgear AC1200's replaced my Netgear HDX111's which wore out after about 10 years of continuous use. The AC1200's are much faster, and hopefully, will last even longer.

I ended up buying this powerline adapter instead of a WiFi extender and it doesn't disappoint. My house has no internal Ethernet cables or plugs. I've got to say this was easy to set up on a newly installed WiFi network and it has been getting speeds up to 250GB. If there's a downside it's that only one device and be hooked up to it with an Ethernet cable (does not work with WiFi). Cool thing is you can buy more than one put them in other parts of the house. If you don't have built in internet and bad WiFi signals to parts of your house you should give this a try.
