One of my favorite games of the PS2/Original Xbox era returns. Set in Japan during the Sengoku period, you play as Samanosuke, a warrior trying to save Princess Yuki from being sacrificed to Nobunaga Oda by the demons of the underworld. Basically, it's a Resident Evil game set in ancient Japan. The game looks sharp and plays great for 18 year old game. It doesn't take too long to beat like today's game, but if you are a fan of the series, or enjoy a piece of gaming history, I highly recommend this.

This game has stood the test of time. The gameplay feels better as you can use joysticks now. The graphics looks great. The backgrounds are pre rendered so they are a bit muddy. I hope Capcom releases the other versions and makes a compilation of its XMEN VS streetfighter games and others on one disc. DO IT

This re-mastered version offers a fresh overhaul of the game’s visuals and gameplay that makes it enjoyable for a modern audience. The gameplay itself holds up great despite lacking the depth some other action titles have, with a variety of enemies and weapons to fight and wield.

This is a decent remaster of an excellent game. The story is great. The gameplay has held up over time as the puzzles and action are still fun. The backgrounds look fuzzy though.

I was a little surprised that they remade this game. It's a fun game with good swordsplay mechanics.I have fond memories of playing the onimusha series.

Great gameplay, story and a decent touch up to visuals. A ground up remake like RE2 would of been better, but I'll take this.

Reminiscent of the old Resident Evil games. Not more tank controls, great crisp visuals.

Still fun to play. Upgraded graphics and horrible voice overs. Which is a good thing.

Onimusha: Warlords was released nearly two decades ago on the PlayStation 2 in 2001 (and later the original Xbox in 2002.) This is a game that received little fan fare and press. This remaster is the same game that came out 20 years ago, which modern graphics and settings. If you missed this title back then, don't miss this title now. Onimusha: Warlords is worth every bit of your time.

Classic game. Great storyline. Weapons and items.

Onimusha is an oft forgotten PlayStation classic game from capcom. Think resident evil, but set in feudal Japan. The multitude of weapons makes it fun to eliminate zombies. The graphical and sound upgrades to this game make it easy on the eyes and ears to play. Definitely and upgrade from the original.

I played this game over and over on my old PS2, so when I saw it was being rereleased for Xbox, I was excited to say the least. It’s a much shorter game than I remember, and the puzzles are easier than I remember as well, but it’s still thoroughly enjoyable. I sincerely hope the release 2 and 3 as well.

Awesome game and have fond memories of playing it back in 2001 when it came out. This “remaster” is just a surface level resolution uptick and that’s it but i hope Capcom add this franchise to their list of full blown remakes as they are on fire with the RE2 and upcoming RE3 remakes.

I bought this since it was on clearance. For the price I paid, it was a worthwhile game. I remember playing Onimusha on the original Xbox back in the day. While it's aged like milk in many ways, it's still an enjoyable game.

I loved this game when it came out for PS2, and when I saw they released a “remastered” version, I had to pick it up. What a disappointment. It’s slightly crisper graphics. That’s it. Not updated in any way. Same old school save spots. Same one path, cut scene gameplay. Not used to it anymore, so was kinda annoying. Remastered is what they’ve done with the Crash and Spyro games in the past year or so. This is not that. For me, it was a waste of money. I might as well hook up my PS2 and play the original.

Better late than never. I played very little of this when it launched back in the day and I'm so thankful it's been updated with some nice achievements to go hunt for. As always, Best Buy had a great price.

Playing as a princess rescuing samurai chopping down demon hordes is just as fun as it was on PlayStation 2–it looks about the same as it did then, too. If you can get over that hurdle, there’s a lot of fun here.

I loved this game back when it came out and so I bought this remaster. While it doesn’t hold up great to today’s standards I still had fun time with it plus you can easily beat it in about 4hrs or less

If you grew up with the PS1 and PS2 then you know the classic Capcom games from those systems... and this does not dissapoint. I bought it on both Xbox One & PS4 because it was cheap and one of my all time faves!
