Is this a necessary kit if my 2007 tundra does not have steering wheel controls or back up camera?

Is this interface necessary when replacing the factory stereo in my 2009 Toyota Camry? What specifically does it do for me and what does it not do. Are there other less expensive options that do the same things?
Answered by AAMP GlobalIf you have steering wheel controls and a JBL system, it is absolutely necessary. It will retain those features and provide reverse wire and parking brake signals for your aftermarket radio. If you don't have steering wheel controls or JBL and don't need a reverse signal (required for reverse camera activation), you can use a basic wiring harness.
