This game was really good, I got platinum and spent almost 100 hours, plus you get emailed free dynamic themes when you get certain trophies. So it’s great overall, good story, good music, and a MAJOR upgrade to the original Persona 5 2016. You should play the normal Persona 5 to enhance your gameplay in royale. The new stuff that they added was a new story extension and endings if you do level up bonds with certain characters. 9/10 for me

This game is beyond outstanding purchasing this product was worth every penny. The creators who modified this masterpiece is highly will be one of the most memorable games you’ll enjoy similar to Pokémon but with dialogue and follows the story uniquely. The new characters are great for wanna spoil especially the third semester. The bonus is worth it, honestly this relatable and can learn something from this.

Best Edition of this game, . New characters and extra story not included on the original release! Do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of this game.

Absolutely fantastic best game of the year. Easy 10 out of 10, improves on the original in pretty much every way. Before this my favorite persona game was persona 4 golden, but this one has just barely edged it out for number one. Insane value, at least 120 hours, probably way more than that. Amazing music, art style, story, characters, gameplay and everything. Absolutely would recommend to anyone, even if you haven't played other jrpgs.

Persona 5 Royal is a must play for Persona fans. It takes the base game Persona 5 and adds gameplay and dungeon updates which changes the experience enough to warrant another purchase. The game also introduces a lengthy new story scenario after the ending of the original game and a new party member. These things are all worth revisiting the game for or a must buy for new players.

I’ll preface this review by claiming this game is JRPG nirvana. It’s the perfect Persona game for people that have never played a game in the series to jump into and fall in love with. Every character is expertly written and voice acted. The music is the perfect blend of acid jazz meets hard rock. The game oozes style from the intro all the way until the end credits. The story elicits emotion from one extreme to the opposite. It’s an unforgettable adventure that will have you wrapped around its finger for at least 100 hours if you care to do all the side content. Persona 5 was wonderful and Royal is more of that and then some. It’s the perfect love letter from Atlus to the fans and newcomers of the entire series. If you enjoy JRPG games then this will undoubtedly disappoint.

This game is so vibrant and exhilarating. I’ve been wanting to play Persona 5 for the longest time and I’m finally able to now that I have a PlayStation 5. I’ve already put in almost 40 hours of game time and this game had already surpassed my expectations and hype I had for this game. Art style is very flashy and unique, along with the story and combat both being absolutely phenomenal. I personally shelled out the $30 bucks for Persona 5 Royal because I never played the base game and you get more with Royal than the base game. Persona 5 is available with your PS Plus Membership in the PS Plus Collection ONLY IF you have a PlayStation 5. But if you never played the base game, I highly recommend you pick up Persona 5 Royal, as it is the Definitive version of the game.

Played the original Persona 5 and absolutely loved it. Was unsure about buying this version, but I'm so glad I did. It's much better in nearly every single way. Story is better with the extended ending, characters are much more fleshed out than before, and a lot of plotholes have been filled in this time. Also, the vanilla Persona 5 was designed to run on PlayStation 3 as well, whereas this game is PS4/PS4 Pro only, so the graphics received a strong upgrade, as well as the soundtrack and so many more newer animations. Combat is also majorly improved with new features and animations. Basically, if you loved the vanilla Persona 5, then you should absolutely buy this as well; so worth it!

Persona 5 Royal is such an amazing game. This game has everything from a great rememberable story to great game mechanics. I highly recommend this game to anyone whether you are new to the persona series or have played previous games in this series, it is definitely worth buying and pouring well over 100+ hours into Persona 5 Royal.

If you've played Persona 5, you'll be familiar with story in this one. However, this game is completely new, with new characters and new additions to game play. Definitely recommend that you pick this game up, especially if you want to kill time during quarantine/COVID-19 social distancing.

. Persona 5 is a massive, gorgeous JRPG with well over 100 hours of gameplay for completionists. With more to do than ever and the series' strongest story to date, it stands out as an extraordinary, memorable experience and easily one of the deepest JRPGs of the last decade.

I can say with full confidence that this is the greatest game I've ever played. Story, characters, gameplay, everything is near perfection. The only person I wouldn't recommend this to is someone who has already played Persona 5 vanilla, and that's only because of the price. Unless you're a die-hard fan who doesn't mind spending full price on what's essentially a re-release with some additional content, 60 dollars can be a bit hard to swallow. Wait for a price drop. If this is your first time playing P5, however, then this is 100% the version to play.

If you're interested in playing P5, I highly recommend picking this up over the vanilla/standard Persona 5 game. Both versions are the same but Royal offers more content and expansion that makes it difficult to go back to the standard edition. Gameplay and story is easy and fun to follow. Easy RPG for anyone to get into but it's a LONG game. Vanilla Persona 5 is still good by itself but Royal edition overall has a lot of improvements imo. If possible, wait for a sale over buying the standard edition. It'll be a better investment in the long run

Persona 5 Royal is an amazing JRPG, one of the best of the last decade. Great story, battle system, and characterization. If you bought the original Persona 5 three years ago, it isn’t really worth $60. Wait for a price cut.

This Has To Be One of The Best Persona Games I Have Ever Played. The Story, Characters, Gameplay, Etc. Is Top Notch.

As a newcomer to the series I had a fantastic time with Persona 5 Royal. This enhanced version of Persona 5 has enough extra story, characters, and features that I think it's clearly the best version of the game to play. Especially now that you can get it for less than $60 (although I paid the full amount and was still satisfied). Persona prides itself on its style, and the appealing artwork and characters, funky music and overall groovy attitude do not disappoint. Every minute spent playing this game just makes me feel like a cooler person. The gameplay almost feels like an afterthought to just what a flashy and enjoyable atmosphere it provides. The gameplay was fine too, especially the social features. Making friends and getting to know people feels better in Persona than in any RPG I've played. I especially appreciated that some of the characters you can spend time with are adults, which you almost never see in this genre. As a crochety old 20-something myself, it was a breath of fresh air. Everyone is really well-written and voice-acted, and especially during the pandemic it was great to get to hang out with people for a change. Persona 5 is absolutely worth a try if you enjoy turn-based JRPGs and high-school style anime. If you've already played the original it's probably still worth it if you grab it on sale.

in 2017, Persona 5 was released. It reminded everyone why turn based JRPGs will always be timeless. Style, humor, strategy, and a load of difficulty options help made it accessible for anyone. Now in 2020, Royal has released. 30+ hours of new content, battle system is revised, and you have more days to do activities. Every complaint I had with P5 originally has been taken care of in this edition. I would consider this game near-perfect

The game is a lot better than Persona 5. It has a lot of cool features in the game. The game introduces more options to go what ever story is best in your option.

Persona 5 was an amazing game when it first came out. Persona 5 Royal takes the original game and adds a ton of content to it. There are new relationships to form, more dungeons and monsters, and added story content. This is a complete version of the game so it is a must buy if you are a fan of the Person series. You can easily put in over 100 hours in the game and you can play New Game+ with your saved data after beating the game.
