This razor is a real value. It makes me look good and clean shavin in just minutes, Plus getting it with a protection plan gives me peace of mind.

They put these shavers on sale for less than replacement blades every once in a while so I get an new one and retire my old ones with worn out blades which tend to hurt. I noticed this one seems to shave quicker that even an older 9000 series I was using. I also appreciate that they put the trimmer back on these and have a bar graph to show charge my old 5000 series had neither it would just die with no warning or way to know the charge level. I've shaved at least a couple of times and it has only dropped one bar so far.

Fast & easy online buy! Next day delivery. Easy to use and to charge. Much better than the daily razor blade. Opens and cleans in a flash. I should have bought one sooner.

Very pleased with my Phillips 5300 Shaver. I was using a Braun (much more expensive) razor for the past few years and was not getting the performance that I expected. This razor took no time to adjust to (normally takes a couple weeks when transferring to a rotary vs foil razor.) Caught it on sale for $49.99. No accessories, but that's fine for the price. The cut is the main thing. No skin irritation. Would purchase again without hesitation.

Philips Norelco Shaver 5300 Summary: Lightweight shaver with a typical hand-held form factor. Pros: * Light. The unit is light. The lack of weight may have been a compromise for something else, however. * It looks nice. The aesthetic is svelt, surely. However, the overall design isn't too unchanged from others of this type. * It feels well assembled which is good for a wet/dry unit. * Price. The price point is fine. Though for the reasons listed below, I'll admit I'm still a little disappointed in its performance. Cons: * Not enough power. It's a handheld battery unit. What should I expect? More power than my Philips Norelco it is replacing after more than a decade, that's for sure. I trim with a Braun and then expected to clean up closer with this unit. It doesn't seem to do well even with leftover stubble. My hair may be too coarse for the screens, or there isn't enough power. Even fully charged, turning it on seems like a chore for the unit. Use: I like to clean up with this type of shaver after lawn mowing my face with a sturdier but less precise shaver. I'm disappointed this doesn't seem to have the right power or isn't built for coarse hair. I'm not comfortable pressing this thing against my neck or face just to get the desired result. I think I will need to find a corded version for more power. I'm generally a fan of Philips products. I own a Sonicare Toothbrush and like a 10-year-old version of this shaver. They work quite well, though the shaver is looking worse for its wear and the charging cord has become frayed. This unit is a miss for me, but probably a good buy for someone with less challenging facial hair.

After daily driving the Norelco 1000 from 2019 for a year, I decided to try the new 2020 Series 5000 as an upgrade. Man oh man, while shaving, it just feels soooooo much smoother and I noticed that I spend a lot less time going over the same spots over and over to make sure to get all the stubbles hit. The head and blades make sure to contour to the shape of your head/face to give you the best shave possible. Very comfortable and have had no cutting or pinching episodes. The tri head shape makes sure it can reach every little place on your face and not nick you. I highly recommend the razor. Quick charging, nice battery level indicator, super easy to clean and IPX7 rated! Dry or wet shaving is no match for this baby. You can even use it while showering and even the instruction booklet recommends doing it. One thing I noticed was that the edger is 10000x better than the previous model I've been using and makes a nice, perfect straight edge. Comes with a little brush to make the easy cleaning even easier if you wish to use it. Highly recommend to anyone looking at this shaver. You can't go wrong.

Norelco Series 5000 (S5588) I have owned several Norelco shavers over the years. They keep getting better! This model is not super expensive yet it is now my favorite. PROS: Cordless, can be used wet, dry or in the shower (IPX7). It shaves smooth and close, very comfortable shave. Nice floating heads to conform to your face. It’s easy to flip open the top for cleaning the shaver heads under water. Best ever cover for the floating heads if you travel because it stays on! Has a built in pop-up trimmer that is always there when needed. Led Bar Graph on the handle to tell you its charge at any time. Great rubber grips that make it secure in your hand. And it’s not too small or too large to hold, just a great feel as you hold it. CONS: None I can find. I really like this shaver! I would definitely recommend this model to anyone that doesn’t want to spend a lot of money yet get a great shaver with useful features.

I have been using Norelco products for years and this new razor has gone above my expectations. It gives me a smooth shave, stays charged for an extended period of time and is easy to maintain.

I usually shave with either a straight razor or vintage double edge "safety" razor. You just can't be in a hurry with either of those choices. Wanted something for quick touch up shave when I need to get out of the door fast. So far, this is working surprisingly well. Reasonably close shave without any irritation. Particularly like the way it shaves under the chin and down neck. Motor seems to be slow and would be better if a bit more powerful. Pop up trimmer works fine on sideburns but shaver body blocks view when trimming moustache. I think this will be fine for my occasional use but for everyday use I think a shaver with more power might be a better choice.

Had this for a month and have not shaved wet yet, likely won't so I can't give that review. Great dry shave. After using for a while I am able to get razor close and no irritation. Very quiet, don't need to turn up the tv while shaving. Very easy to clean. Long battery life; I went six shaves on a charge. Medium density hair for reference.

Smooth shave and easy cleanup. Like that this version has trimmer integrated with shaver. Quick charging time of 1 hour. Would like better grip on shaver base.

Very Impressed! I have previously used a different brand of electric razor but the adapt time to this one was very short. It runs very quietly and seemingly low speed, which at first made me think it wasn't fully charged ... although it said it was. However, my concerns were quickly erased as the shaving results were great. I like the 3 headed system as it seems to me to lessen the amount of going over the same area multiple times (as with my old razor). OVERALL: I am very happy with this razor and would recommend it.

I got this as a Christmas present for my husband. He uses it primarily for his bald head.(He keeps a beard) I looked online at many products but there weren’t many that stated works great on heads. So I purchased this and he loves it. He uses it to both dry and wet shave. He likes the handling and noise is minimum. He still uses razors to do quick shaves but he loves the economical part of not having to buy razors heads every 5 days. He hasn’t used the trimmer part yet, so I’ll update this review when he does.

I like this unit. It was cheap, I keep it in the car. Good: The built in trimmer is perfect for portable. Its easy to clean and it gets hairs that my other sometimes miss. Less Good: It pulls around upper lip It sheds hair powder when shaving and gets on shirt. Sometimes has grabby feel to some hairs and angles. Can be awkward to flow around face. Overall I like it for a backup. As a primary razor no.

Long battery life from one charge. Gets the job done nice and close. Could go for a bit more power us the only con.
