Could have been better, for the price it’s not worth it. It only has one type of vibration.

There are a lot of good things to say about the One Toothbrush from Sonicare, but I can’t help but feel as though it was only created as a cash grab so that Phillips could participate in the trend of monthly subscription products. Personally I don’t care for subscription services because I feel like they increase the cost of a product, they create waste (by sending out a package every few months when all of the items could have easily been sold in one box), and they are designed to generate extra sales when the customer either forgets about the subscription, or simply fails to quit timely. They are like gym memberships. The customer continues to pay long after they stop using the product. That being said, the toothbrush does work well. I appreciate the small size, the month long battery life, the modern USB-C charging port, the countdown timer, the double pulse after each 30 seconds, and I absolutely LOVE that the timer pauses when you turn the brush off mid cycle - so that you can spit and then resume brushing (without flinging toothpaste all over your clothes and the bathroom mirror). I also like that the handle has two small feet which prevents the brush from rolling and ensures the head is raised off of any surface that the brush may be set upon. Most importantly though, it leaves teeth feeling smooth and clean. There are, however, a few downsides to the brush. While the package comes with a short charging cable, it does not come with a wall adapter. In order to charge the brush, you will need to use a charging brick you already own. The back of the head is smooth - instead of having a ribbed texture to help clean the cheeks and tongue. The bottom of the brush is rounded - so it cannot stand up on end. (Luckily, it is about the size of a standard manual toothbrush - so it can be set into a regular cup style toothbrush holder. See the attached pictures for examples.) The brush feels under powered at times. Occasionally it feels as though the power level fluctuates, which is something I haven't noticed with any of the other electric toothbrushes I have tested (Burst, Quip, Boka, Sonicare, etc). The travel case feels cheap and is unnecessarily large. I wouldn’t be surprised if the flap style lid eventually breaks off (after being folded open and closed repeatedly). It would have been nice if the carry case could affix to the bathroom mirror (like Quip brushes do), but instead it must lie flat. The case is also a rubbery texture that seems to attract fuzz and toothpaste residue. Because the Phillips One brush is so new, I have not been able to find any generic brush heads available - but, because Sonicare brushes are so popular - I anticipate someone will eventually sell generic brush heads online (which will eliminate the need of the Brush head Subscription). Thankfully Phillips is currently selling replacement heads without the subscription, but it is frustrating that each replacement head costs more than a full size manual toothbrush. A replacement head is less waste than a manual toothbrush, but still costs more. The One Brush is a decent, reasonably priced electric toothbrush, but it does little to stand out from all of the many other brushes that are nearly identical. I can't imagine too many people actually regretting the purchase, but personally - I would choose the Quip Electric Toothbrush instead (and would buy generic replacement heads instead of signing up for their subscription service).

Verdict: I wanted to love this toothbrush, but I will stick with my full feature electric toothbrush for most brushing. I plan to use this for traveling only. Initial impressions. I like that the toothbrush is light, and that it includes a cover and a small charging cable. Design. The toothbrush cover fits nicely and makes the toothbrush really sleek, small, and easy to pack. The charging port is located under a cap at the bottom of the toothbrush, and there is a charging light on the toothbrush. However, when the case is on the toothbrush, it is very difficult to remove the cap at the bottom to charge the toothbrush. Also, the charging light is under the cover, so I can’t see when the toothbrush is fully charged. Brushing. This toothbrush brushes better than a manual toothbrush, but it does not brush as well as my full feature electric toothbrush. It is hard not to compare because my teeth and mouth just don’t feel as clean. Nevertheless, its small size makes it ideal for short trips. Things I like: - Small, light, and sleek - Small charging cable is easy to pack - Battery life seems to be pretty good - Brushes better than a manual toothbrush Things I don’t like: - The bottom cap should open away from the cover, and the charging light should be visible when the cover is on - It doesn’t brush as well as my other toothbrush Overall, this toothbrush is ok. I plan to use it mostly for traveling.

I have used sonicare toothbrushes since their very first model was introduced. I am also a RDH with 20+ years experience. I was intrigued by this latest model. I found that it is not as good as the original. Here is a list of the pros and cons, you decide. Pros: 1. It is slim and easy to travel with. If you lose it at the hotel, it won't break the bank. 2. It does have sonic activity. (Tested, confirmed, see pic). 3. It has a 2 minute timer built in and auto shut off. 4. No charging required. 5. A rechargeable battery could easily be used (the kind that charges outside the device in it's own charger station). 6. If the original sonicare is too powerful for your sensitive teeth, this is much less aggressive. Cons: 1. Weak compared to the original sonicare 2. Less stain removal capability than the original since it's weaker. 3. I am less confident oxygen is getting under the gumline to target anaerobic bacteria (the kind that does not need oxygen to survive and is more destructive to teeth and gums). See pic to notice there are no bubbles or splatter being created by the Philip One Sonicare toothbrush compared to the original that I own. 4. The brush head is larger than the original, and that is not ideal for a child's mouth (if you were considering this for a kid). It feels large in my mouth compared to the original I own. 5. The brush heads are specific for this toothbrush. It is not interchangeable with the original models that look similar. 6. It is slim, if you have arthritis and enjoy the larger sized model's handle, this will be a lot different. Not bad, just not as easy to grip as the bigger, original one. Side note: To remove the battery, you will need a flat head screwdriver or a butter knife to make a quarter turn and release the cap. Would I recommend this to a friend? It depends. If you are aware it is not like the original and has these key differences but don't think you will mind, yes I would recommend it. If you want something like the original sonicare, then definitely not. You will be very disappointed if you compare it to the original.

Good size and good weight. However getting to the charge port is inconvenient. Also mine has a habit of shuddering or randomly turning off mid use, I hit the button and it comes right back on. Go for the model above this for everyday use. However this would be great for travel if you want an electric on the road as its drawbacks can be worked around. -Recommended but again only as a travel solution.

I have the diamond clean for my every day use. This was a purchase for my God Son who is 12. I got it for the price point and with it telling him to switch sides very 30 seconds. If I had known the handle wasn't compatible with the standard heads (you can only use ones made specific for this handle apparently) I would have sprung for one of the other models with the counter included. I much prefer the diamond clean / plaque control heads. If this had been designed to be used with standard heads I would have given 5 stars.

I like the convenience of this toothbrush for when I travel. I wish it was more powerful and that the brush was smaller or circular.

This toothbrush is compact and with a decent design. Unfortunately, this is not a good toothbrush for a man over 6 feet tall. I say that because the bristle, lack of power, and overall size.

It’s okay. Not as good as my oral b or my sonicare. The brush head does not vibrate near as fast as my more expensive electric toothbrushes but it still cleans my teeth well.

It’s not very strong but surprisingly it leaves my teeth feeling clean. It’s a great starter and travel brush. I like that it’s compact and comes with a case.

Good value - not as powerful as the larger Phillips sonicare brushes. This is a great size for my travel kit.

Small almost like a normal manual toothbrush (without case) Brush head is not interchangeable with standard sonicare heads, requires the Sonicare ONE heads. The Head it comes with is like a C2 head - its super soft. I personally like the more firm heads like the W models. Felt okay but not nearly as clean feeling as my normal brush. Would be acceptable for post eating / after lunch at work. Charging uses a old USB charger does not come with a power block just a USB cord. Getting it open to charge is a pain. Would recommend just getting the battery power model and forgetting about it.,
