II love my PS5 Pro. Excellent performance and superior graphics. However, the experience of getting it was a nightmare. By reading previous reviews, most of the people who purchased online ended up getting a pre-used, open-box item, so I didn't want to deal with such drama, so I visited the store, and the same thing happened. The crew member brought a fully destroyed box that clearly was a pre-used item, so I asked her to get another one, and she asked me to come back the next day. So I did, and I was offered the same ripped box used item, so she was like, "If you really want to get to play today, this is what you have to take," EVEN THOUGH SHE KNEW THAT WAS NOT A BRAND NEW ITEM. So they decided to send an order so I could get another one at a different store. The store manager named Brad was awesome and got the issue resolved efficiently. Even though I have made several purchases through Best Buy, this has been the worst experience ever for someone who spent a lot of money trying to get a brand-new item, as it was paid for, and I ended up spending a lot of money on gas so I could finally get it. The second location I visited gave me a ripped box console, and that's when I got assistance from the manager.

Let me start off with this console is amazing .you can definitely see the upgrade in performance.But apparently there is a issue where alot of people are having wifi and costant disconnection issues that are appearing on the playstion pro reddit. I cant stay connected to my wifi for more than a hour and have never had these issues with my old console . I will also add that my modem is a few feet away. Most likely im going to exchange once.if it is a major issue that was over looked or a quality control problem then ill just stick to my original ps5.

I am writing this review providing feedback solely to Best Buy for the delivery process of the purchase for my Sony PlayStation 5 Pro! I purchased the PlayStation 5 Pro 12/14/24 set the delivery for 12/15/24 to be delivered between like 10:00 and 3:00…….it was never said or confirmed in the delivery set up that someone should be home that my Sony PlayStation 5 Pro would be Left on my Doorstep unboxed as if the PlayStation was taken from the shelf and put on my doorstep for the whole world to see what was purchased! I have never had a purchase (unless it’s a large box like my dog kennel) left on my doorstep unboxed, normally whatever you purchase from a company (especially a big named company like Best Buy) the product is put into a bigger box or like a plastic bubble padded envelope to cover up and protect the purchase for it to be delivered to the buyer! Shame on you Best Buy you didn’t say that someone needed to be home during the delivery window that you would be leaving the unboxed purchase on the doorstep, you should require a signature from a person for purchases you are going to deliver unboxed and it would be more considerate to advise to the buyer that you will be leaving their purchase unboxed at their doorstep for the world to see or for someone to possibly steal! If your going to deliver unboxed products give the buyer the option at least to say “yes” or “no” that the purchase needs to be boxed into a shipping box to disguise what is inside of the box so it’s unknown what was purchased to the outside world and if you are going to leave unboxed purchases with buyers permission at least require a signature or have the buyer give permission to say “yes” or “no” that it’s ok to leave their unboxed purchase on thier doorstep! I paid around $775.00 for the Sony PlayStation 5 Pro and the stand for it that was extra and personally $775.00 is not just pocket change that’s a large purchase at least for a gaming system anyway and I don’t want the worry that someone has the option to see what I purchased and can just steal it right from my doorstep! You hear about these Porch Pirates stealing peoples packages from their porches especially around the holidays, don’t make it easier for them to see what they can steal by delivering unboxed packages most of the world works and can’t be at home all day long to wait for packages to be delivered so please Best Buy do your part in helping with what you can do on your end and at least pay the few extra dollars (your a multi billion dollar company) to buy some boxes to box up your customers purchases before you send them out for delivery!!!!!! This could be a make or break in my choice to buy from you again in the future and you can see my purchase history I make several small and large purchases throughout the year from you guys….. $2000.00 LG washer and dryer set a year ago……. When I made the purchase online for the PS5 Pro with the trade in of my PS5 I had up to 10 days to return the PS5 but when I bring the PS5 to the Best Buy store before 10 days they said I have to repurchase the PS5 Pro to trade it in to get $200 -$300 back. Which is not right!! I’m very disappointed & Not Satisfied with that kind of confusion as it said online trade in accepted

The ps5 pro is great. My problem is with bust buy. They shipped it in the original packaging. The controller was missing and The seals were broken and bottom of it was taped up all Best Buy would do was give me a 70 dollar credit not even enough to buy a new controller. I couldn’t ship it back because my sons birthday party was that weekend and the nearest Best Buy is over a hour away and I had to work

For many years, I was a fan of the PlayStation console up until they started charging for yearly membership and then they started making pro consoles. I purchased this console and I noticed absolutely no difference for the money and graphic improvement. I think Sony dropped the ball on this unit. If it was me I would wait until a PS six or do what I did just build a good gaming computer that’s gonna last you for many many years or by the basic PlayStation five no need in buying this. This is a waste of resources especially the ones out of your wallet.

Purchased the PS5 Pro online. Received it fairly quickly. Received it wrapped in a black bag and taped. Box was damaged from shipping. I didnt even bother to open it. I took it to a best buy store to return it and get another one in person but they wouldnt accept it telling me online orders need to be returned online. The black bag was ripped by the store employee to scan the PS5, then found out the sytem wasnt sealed, it was already opened. So now i have to repackage it and drop off to a UPS store. So much hassle for an item poorly packed and damaged.

Dont waste your hard working money on a ps5 pro because this console has wifi issues all it does is disconnect from wifi after 1 hour. Also i got about 20 errors from my games because of a over heating problem. I wasted 700 dollars on a console that looks like freddy Kruger slashed it. And i was told that best buy doesnt get there system from the company they get them from 3RD party’s. So for Black Friday dont come here get your systems straight from xbox or ps because every console i got from here does not work. Best buy is also so rude to there customer dont come here, A xbox is worth buying not a PS5 pro save your money

Very poor wifi performance. I exchanged it and the new does the exact same thing. I have never had to mess with wifi settings ever for any device. I have even tried port forwarding. Nope. This PS pro is in the same location as my OG PS5. I cant even get half the wifi performance as that one. Im using a RBR850, ps5 shows 100% signal strength and im on 5ghz. I will be returning for a refund and waiting for them to fix the issue before I buy another. Im getting over 400-500Mbs on my other devices.

First, I’m not here to tell you how to spend your money. If you’re happy with your Pro, cool. Sony wants you to buy the console on future promises without delivering much of anything up front. I really wanted for this to be awesome, as I preordered it, just to be very let down. I see no value at this time ($833 for a console and disc drive is extremely expensive, with a current 1/5 “wow” factor) and returned it and the disc drive. I do see future potential for it, I’ll consider it again in a couple years. They advertise “Disc Free” on (the damaged) box, as if that’s a benefit. No launch games to say “Hey! Check out what this can do!” is insane. Instead, check out older releases that every PS5 owner has (likely) already played years ago. Umm, why wasn’t Astro Bot included as an enhanced game? Is there a difference having the Pro (on a proper display of course)? Yes, but marginal. Sometimes better (let’s zoom in to see if we can tell most of the time), but lots of games looked and performed worse. PSSR is a mess. Did I mention no disc drive? Yep, worth mentioning again, as it’s a slap in the face being forced to buy an essential disc drive. Fact: over 80% of PS5’s sold before the Pro launch were disc drive models. Sony is alienating its hardcore audience in so many ways. They want to nickel and dime you in every way possible while under-delivering. Over 6 weeks later, things are still a mess. Having owned every single PlayStation console since/around launch, with exception of the PS3 that was purchased a couple years later, this is the most disastrous release ever. PS4 game enhancement is negligible. Nothing too positive to say about this right now, but again, I think once a disc drive model is available, there’s a decent game library, a price drop, and lots of bugs are fixed, it will have some value. I think Sony needs to act quickly on customer concerns and they definitely aren’t - e.g. An update was released a month after launch to aid in console data transfer….that should’ve been day one. That’s enough of my rant. Glad I could get my money back after being robbed.

This was a very expensive disappointing purchase. This console bosted improvements that i just don't see. There are also constant wifi issues that I've never had with my standard PS5. The extra terabyte of storage is nice, but for a console that does not even come wiyh a disc drive...save your money.

PS5 Pro is a scam and not worth the money, Pssr upscaling is garbage and actually makes the games look worse. I just returned the pro after 6 weeks. Within those 6 weeks with the PS5 Pro, I had multiple crashes especially on black ops 6 , Dragon Age Veilguard looked really bad on the pro as well. I returned the pro on 4/5/25 and exchanged it for the ps5 slim with Astro Bot included. Got home and set it up & reinstalled Dragon Age Veilguard and played it again, The graphics looked so much better on the ps5 slim. Played black ops 6 without any crashes as well. This so called pssr that Sony is trying to upscale is causing more issues than it’s worth. Please do yourself a favor and don’t spend another $300 for the pro because it honestly isn’t worth it. I took the extra money I saved and put a corsair 2tb ssd in the ps5 slim. I’m very happy with my decision, Hope this helps.

I was sold a defective ps5 pro, it’s started crashing 5 days after purchase. I called Best Buy and geek squad told me to follow Sony recommended procedure for error code “CE-108262-9”. Did all the Sony recommended procedures and did not fix the problem. I took it back to exchange for a replacement and they said would have to be repaired even though it was less than 3 months old AND I HAVE A BEST BUY WARRANTY I PAY OVER $200 YEAR FOR!!! I was told by multiple people it would be replaced. Now it is being replanted and will take weeks to get replacement parts. VERY UNHAPPY AND DISAPPOINTING WITH PS5 pro and BEST BUY for selling a defective ps5 pro and not replacing it. Also I have wait over a month for my PS5 to come back. DONT BUY FROM BEST BUY

I bought the PS5 pro open box like new excellent condition and was extremely let down. The employee was rude. I had a bad feeling from the start. The app said there was only 1 left so I rushed to get it. It didn’t come in the original box, when I opened it the PlayStation was dirty and the middle part of the system was all scuffed up in poor condition. It clearly was used & abused. Since when did Best Buy start selling pawnshop ps5’s!! I returned it thinking they gave me the wrong one, I had them open up another one while returning it and that was in bad condition too. I just asked for a refund and left disappointed. Wow never again!! Worst purchase in a decade. Smh…
