Easy to use, connects easily, good value, small, fun to use

The emulation isn't perfect and the game selection is not great but if you are looking for some cheap nostalgia (I got one for 20 bucks) this will do the job, but don't expect Sony's version of the NES or SNES classic.

I think the console is slightly expensive for the number of games you are actually playing. I think out of the 20 games I play 4 or 5 of them. Obviously the fact that it does not come with an AC adapter is a little annoying (but easily correctable). Even still I think this is a great addition to anyone who likes playing old school games and enjoys the new "mini" consoles that are being released.

I can't believe Sony originally wanted $100 for this thing, the games just run really bad, there is no other way to describe it. I understand these are late 90's 3D graphics which I can deal with but the games just generally run slower and the controls appear to have input lag. I know there is a big mod scene with this system that makes it much better but some of us just want the system to work well out of the box without having to invest additional time into it. Also not packaging the system with a USB adapter is inexcusable, I tried plugging it into the USB port on my TV and Cable Box and still couldn't get it to power on, an iPhone charging block finally did the trick. That being said the system itself is built well, the controllers also feel solid even if they're lacking the analog sticks. In the end I'll keep it because it looks neat on my shelf and $30 isn't that much but if I ever want to play the games on it I'll need to look elsewhere.

Trying to ride the gravy train Nintendo started with the NES & SNES Classics, Sony's attempt falls a bit short in the execution. The console is nice & reminiscent of the original PS1, however the original cost at $99 and the poor selection of games met with immediate backlash. With the recent price drops this isn't a bad deal and worth the cost around a $40-$50 price point.

I got this on sale for $20 when Best Buy was trying to get rid of them. After a rocky launch at $100 the Playstation classic was poorly recieved by the gaming community due to its poor selection of games, substandard emulator and lack of any worth while options available without plugging in a USB keyboard to access the emulator settings. For the price I paid for this I say it was well worth the money. I've been using the TrueBlue USB sticks that contain about 100 games on them for $20 each from various well known sites. These USB sticks have made this little device so much more worth using and after changing the settings in the emulator as I love scan lines when I play retro games. Highly recommend this if you mod it.

This was cool, it was a gift, and I got myself one. I ended having it and playing the games included which are ok, I think my favorite was tekken. fun overall, I would say expect to play with it a bit, not be entertained too long. the library of games is not great. if the games were better i'd give it a 5. Also it doesn't come with the AC power adapter.

I only bought this for the grand kids. It's worth the $30 I gave for it, but I wouldn't go over that. It works fine, no problems, and seems to be built well. The graphics have literally the same blocky arcade type appearance as the original 80's games. It comes preloaded with 20 games, and that's all you get. Period. It does not stream, and it does not take discs. It ONLY plays the preloaded games. It comes with a USB power cord, but DOES NOT include the power module ( a cell phone charger worked fine for ours ). You must provide your own. Worth $30 I guess.

The small size of the console is great, but not much else. The controllers are shoddy, and they're not even dual-shock, so they're pretty crap. Plus, for the selection of games, it ALMOST justifies the sales price at the time I bought it. However, for 20 bucks and some extra accessories, it's great after you've modded it. I programmed one of my spare PS4 controllers so I get the dual-shock usage (plus rumble), and I took all my PS1 discs out of storage and was able to play them on there after digitizing them. However, as is, it's a piece of crap barely worth $10.

The first thing I noticed was how much thought only put into the packaging. Sony presented this system as its own console with traditional two box packaging (internal box and outer display box) with exposed serial number. Complete with an instruction manual, necessary cables (HDMI and Power) and two controllers, I felt as if I was really unboxing a quality, independent console. The hardware is simple, impressive and makes sense. The two included Sony USB controllers are of quality. The console itself is very small and light. Set up was fast and simple. Sony created this console with a user dashboard which makes game selection and setting up your internal memory cards easy. I believe that the included games will either make or break this purchase for the individual buyer. For me personally this purchase was worth it due to the fact that I think that metal gear solid, final fantasy 7, Tekken 3, Syphon Filter and resident evil were some of the greatest games of this generation. Sure it would’ve been nice if Resident Evil 2, Mortal Kombat 4, Grand Turismo and Digimon World and Armored Core were included, but that’s just me. Best Buy had slashed the price of these consoles to $40 each. I bought two.

For $20, this is a good value for reliving parts of my childhood. It's fun and not as bad as a lot of people make it out to be. It's kind of hard getting used to no analog sticks but it's not a deal breaker. Also, be sure to pickup a USB/AC adapter as this doesn't come with one. I just used mine from my NES Classic and it works fine.

As an avid collector and retro gamer, I own quite a few of these mini consoles. Sony's was probably the most rushed and half completed of them all. You don't see the same care and detail put into the product that you see with Nintendo's offerings or even the Sega one. Decent collection of games but it could've been much better considering the PS1's library of games. If you can get it on sale, it's nice addition to any collectors library as the physical look of the console is well done. Would just like to have seen better games, better emulation and a little more 'love' put into the project.

This Sony PlayStation Classic is an okay console. For $19.99, it is fine, but I won't pay more for it. All the games are old games, hence, its name "Classic". It was fun at the beginning, but I got bored of all of the games after a few days. For $19.99, don't anticipate a lot from this console.

The PlayStation Classic is a decent purchase for nostalgic and collector's purposes, but only when on sale for $60 or less. It doesn't do the best job of emulating games and there are better alternatives to playing most of the games included in this package.

Now that the price is reasonable, I decided to pick up the PlayStation Classic. I wasn't too thrilled with the game selection but supposedly you can take care of that *wink wink* or just play FFVII till you're tired of it. It comes with two controllers (I'm looking at you Nintendo for the re-release of the Nintendo Classic) but doesn't come with a power plug. You have to use USB and that won't satisfy all users. So weird piece of tech that seemed very rushed for what the PlayStation was.... or perhaps I remember the PSone years differently and yearn really for a PS2 system. Give me Gran Turismo 3 or give me ….. something else. Whatever.

The overall build quality of the console and controllers is excellent. The included game library leaves much to be desired but it's by no means as bad as it's been made out to be. The original msrp of $100 was too much but it is well worth the $40 it has been discounted to. Plus it isn't hard to add your own roms.

What's that? The games on the system aren't great? Well, that's fair (and correct) but it's true what they say about these PS Classics. They are shockingly easy to hack and put more games on. Not that I've hacked my or anything...and not that I condone hacking a product you bought, but I've got this odd feeling that Sony didn't even bother locking this down because they knew people would and they wouldn't have to pay the licensing fee. Regardless, the point is, the little system is cute, the controllers feel good (even though its sad they didn't go with dualshocks), and you'll definitely need your own AC adapter. Yeah, it didn't come with one. But you can use a phone charger with micro-usb, so it wasn't the biggest deal for me. Just an odd exclusion.

The PS one was one of my first ever consoles, that my brother was not invited to use haha. I heard many people say that this classic console is missing some of the best games during its time. I can agree that there are games that could have been added to this, over others that are actually on the device, but I love final fantasy VII. The fact this little thing has FFVII on it is what makes this a solid purchase for me. I also love how tiny it is, similar to the other classic consoles that have come out. I appreciate Sony making an effort to create this. Not everyone has the same nostalgia I have for FFVII, but if you like a few games on this device then why not buy it? I am personally happy with my purchase, and if you have nostalgia for a game on the PS classic then go ahead and treat yo self!

Even though it brings back memories from the past the game selection wasn't fully of my likings but overall everything else no complaints, controllers, console all is a replica of the previous Play Station Console.

I was a little disappointed with the lack of games this thing offered, but it’s definitely a nostalgia piece for someone that had the original PlayStation when it came out. Hopefully Sony can get it right with the PS2 classic.
