The RackSolutions 2U 2Post Vented Shelf carries the equipment that has no rack ears and was never meant to live in a rack. It supports up to 300 lbs, 136 kgs, across a 21in deep, 533 mm, vented surface, which covers heavy tools, test equipment, peripherals and oversized devices. The vented surface lets air move through the shelf rather than trapping heat underneath whatever is standing on it. Construction is 14 GA cold-rolled steel with solid rivet joints, chosen for sustained loads rather than occasional ones. The shelf center-mounts into most standard 19in EIA 2Post racks and fits round, threaded and square holes as well as 3in uprights. It can also be mounted upside down where the equipment needs extra clearance above. Transport and seismic variants are available for more demanding installations.
