This game was not great when it first came out but it seemed like they fixed many of the issues. It feels like the original Rage now and the world isn’t so empty. I would recommend this game if you liked the original but only if it’s on sale and under $20.

I really enjoyed my time with Rage. The game play reminds me a lot of Doom but in an open world with vehicles and a lot of missions. The missions are fun but there is not a lot of variety to them. The weapons and powers are the real treat for the game and feel great. It is really fun to take out a base camp full of enemies. Overall the story is okay for what it is, I wasn't expecting much so I enjoyed most of the story and game play loop.

I loved the first Rage game back on Xbox 361, the great visuals and open world were fun and exciting to explore. Rage 2 take it's up a notch offer better visuals, a larger open world and more to do in the world. The shooting is excellent and the enemies are fun to shoot at. Only downfall is some of the world feels empty for no reason but to just exist but maybe that will be fixed with future updates. Definitely worth a look!

My review is based on about 4-5 hours of play and from what I've seen so far the game is better than I expected. It's a little slow at first but gets better as you acquire more powerful weapons, abilities and powers. It does require a bit of searching to find all the good stuff but is worth it making the game more enjoyable. The graphics and sound are excellent but the characters look a little cartoony when seen up-close. The weapons are varied and have a nice feel while the driving is more than adequate for it's intended purpose. All in all, a good shooter to hold me over until Doom Eternal arrives.

The shooting in Rage 2 is like a slightly wacky version of any one of the more recent Id Software titles, so it's exceptional. The driving is a bit slow, but also feels fun throughout the game. Graphically, the game is impressive on an Xbox One X, but only runs at 30fps on the S or original (as opposed to 60fps/1080p on the X). Its gameplay loop is most like a Far Cry, but I'm not sure the structure is as polished—but who cares? The shooting is what you're here for, and I'd compare it to Doom or Wolfenstein II in terms of overall quality and fun factor.

Picked this up for 9.99, great deal for a great game. Not the best story but if if you want fun, great graphics and weapons this is an awesome game. I really enjoy playing it.

I really enjoyed Doom(2016) and Mad Max (from avalanche games) so I was pretty excited to see the team working on this game. I also like the premise of Rage 1 (world building and weapons). I went into this game with high expectations and left with mild disappointment. The bad: world isn't really that interesting, the story/stakes of conflict aren't that enthralling. The good: the shooting, the way you move.

Fun FPS/Open World game. Set in a Mad Max -esqe style world, fun gunplay and world design. The game can get stale after a while, kind of reminds me of Borderlands...similar tasks, repetitive gameplay. If you like that type of gameplay, you might take it as a huge plus. Solid game overall.

Was a big fan of the original Rage. I really like the graphics of this version. Story line could have been a little more challenging, but the action and options ar worth it.

This game is much more colorful than the 1st. Does offer a pretty good sandbox world. Does have some big guns that can do some destructive damage. Vehicles handle fair. Feels kinda like a large dlc. Kinda like putting Farcry and Just Cause together. Nothing really groundbreaking here. Just a decent game. I'd give it a score of 8.

The shooting is tight and responsive similar to the Doom game that came out a few years ago. But the open world is empty and the driving doesn't even seem necessary. Dont expect a great story and some of the NPCs are cringe inducing. Still the shooting is great I'll give it 4 stars for that alone.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the game does crash and maybe they will patch it later , but other than that lots of fun and highly recommend this game if you’re looking for a fun FPS with immaculate controls.

First off, better than the first game so far. Graphics are a mixed bag that look really good and then some not so good. Gun play is fast and really good. Story is not very solid, but a fun game over all.

An open world shooter with classic gore to your heart's content. If you enjoy blowing enemies to bit with suit powers or rocket launcher this is a game for you. Sure the occasional sound bug comes in from time to time and a very limited amount of unique enemies exist to kill. But you can still joy ride in your trust side-kick vehicle and run everything over. There are plenty of places to complete and explore with Easter eggs sprinkled in if you can spot them. Combat is definitely the most fun I had in awhile for a FPS title.

Art direction they chose for the environment is great, the wide variety of colors from the swamps to rain forest like and desert areas looks great. This game is very light on story, so if you're looking for a story driven shooter, you'll probably be disappointed. If you're looking for a game with great shooting mechanics, and powers (such as a Hulk smash, quick dash, double jumps, hovering in air while shooting, blasting an enemy to pieces with an 'iron man' type hand blast) than you will enjoy this game.

Great graphics! Very bloody! Fun gameplay! My only gripe is that the story is so so and the missions becomes a little repitive after a while. I would wait until it drops to $40.

Rage 2 has really impressed me. I've heard mixed things about but overall I've heard it's a lot of fun. I totally agree after spending some time with it. The shooting is some of the best I've ever played. The weapons feel powerful and unforgiving to your foes.

Pros: Fast paced shooting (like Doom) Great wasteland setting Music Cons: Blurry graphics (1080p, even on X1X) Weak story and cheesy characters Repetitive and generic I loved the first Rage, this one is just ok. Feels generic compared to many other current shooters this generation and many of which are better games. This one is good, not great. Wait for it to be $20.

The shooting and gameplay are top notch. The game itself has a very skippable story and a lot of repetition.
