Rage 2 is an an average open world shooter, it definitely gets a bit repetitive after about 12 hours of gameplay. The combat is decent, but it's certainly not as smooth as Doom. Driving the combat vehicles is really clunky, meaning the vehicles are not responsive also you can get stuck in rocky terrain which is annoying, sometimes you have to drive for a REALLY long time to arrive at your next mission but you can partake in mini missions along the way. You can get a decent FPS but I am using a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080. I feel like they could have made the game more fun by making missions easier and adding more weapons and upgrades. It gets just a bit too repetitive to be enjoyable. Although I do like using the wingstick boomerang to kill the baddies, that is the one fun feature!

I do love how the shooting feels in this (especially as the game goes on and you get increased access to more guns and abilities). However, the driving feels weak and the open world just breaks the flow and pacing of the combat. The story and characters are uninteresting and there isn't much to the mission variety either. Doom 2016 is easily the better version of this and Rage shows that applying that formula to open worlds doesn't yield the best results. I also liked how Doom's gameplay loop of going for glory kills to restore health encouraged aggressive play while this often feels more akin to other shooters on the market with greater need for traditional cover. The fall damage feels out of place too.

Good price, great graphics, and fun to play. Bought this on sale and it turned out to be a great gift for a teenage boy.

Rage 2 for PC for only $10! Love it when Best Buy has sales like this! I probably wouldn't have bought it for higher than $10 but for this price point, its pretty good.

Easily the greatest fps of the year, sure the driving is kind of weak but the pure fun this game offers more than makes up for it.

For those who love the most recent Doom game, this gameplay scratches the itch. The story often just gets in the way though. Characters are especially bland.

Redeems on Bethesda Launcher ONLY. No cloud save. Not compatible with GeForce Now on the Nvidia Shield. Unfortunately the Steam version resolves all of those issues. Bethesda support cannot exchange for a Steam key.

Decent game overall. Was hoping for a more enticing story and overall gameplay quality, but I managed to snag this game for only $10 so I can't complain.

I am having fun with this game so far. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys FPS single player games. Check it out. Worthwhile for a few hours of fun.

I played through it in about 60 hours completing every task at the time. Really like the vehicle upgrades and open world.

This game has really fun combat but the story is kind of cheesy like an 80's cartoon.

I didn't have high hopes for this game, it was really a filler between major titles. But this turned out to be a high octane adventure of fun. It really reminded me of the movie Road Warrior and had a surprising level of complexity I was not expecting when first starting it.

The Gunplay feels great, mechanically the game is fine, but the architecture around it with the open-world nature of the game is kind of 'eh'. Would Recommend on a sale, though.

I hate short campaigns, but on the other hand when they are extremely long it makes you wonder "when will this ever end?" I play on average about 1.5 hours per day. I've been on this game for 2 weeks. There are glitches in the game such as levers not turning and elevator buttons not working. While the graphics are pretty amazing, and make me wonder what would it be like to live in a desolate world as portrayed in the game, it just seems never ending. In the beginning the game is really hard because your weapons are pretty weak, they need to be upgraded. Then, after 2 weeks of playing you've powered your weapons up enough to where you go to the next location and easily destroy everyone. This game is just a mixed bag. I liked it enough to get the 1st one because like to play through entire series of games. This game really deserves a solid 3.5 and not 4 stars but I decided to round up. It's fun but just long and pretty monotonous. I'd recommend it but it's not a linear as something like Halo. It's open world so you are free to roam anywhere on the map until you destroy everything you need to.
