A friend of mine was moving and elected to part with a TV set as payment for helping pack boxes and load the truck. The remote disappeared. Unfortunately one of the things that never showed up a destination was the remote control. Yes I had a dilemma on my hands as what to do since I could only turn the set on and off and I just volume up and down and had limited channel selection. I tried and failed a number of generic TV remotes for the TV set and none of them were able to properly activate the TV set along with all of its functions thus I went to Best Buy in order to secure a remote for one of their private label TV sets. Unfortunately the local Best Buy did not carry a remote for the set and none of the stores in this region apparently stock it either so I had to place the order online not a major issue but it would seem to me that once the war in the region would act as a supply warehouse for the remotes. What made the deal sweeter was the fact that Best Buy that sent me a coupon for $5 off any purchase which I attempted to use but unfortunately the delivery of the remote was delayed until after the coupon had expired. Going to pick up the remote one would think could be some painless operation showing a copy of the email on your smartphone along with a photo ID but no you've got to show the credit card and photo ID along with the order number. The pickup process was further aggravated by the fact that there was nobody in vicinity of the will call area. In this economy with people having so many venues to purchase goods store owners and managers would recognize and adequately staffed the store as well as store with smaller items such as this and also get the parts to the store when their online system says that they will be delivered and not be delayed by several days. As to recommending this to a friend yes it's one of those things you got has remote to operate the Best Buy private label TV set.

This works fine to replace my remote that died on my old lcd Insignia TV. The price is right; I could have ordered an original Insignia remote from China... No, I'll use my Best Buy Points instead - thanks Best Buy! More compact, some buttons placed in different places, so you have to re-train yourself. Either a button is missing (used to be 2 info buttons), or the newer TVs allow you to access the forwarding interface: "what shows are going to be broadcast next" on the 1 info menu button. Hopefully the latter is true, if down the line I'm going to purchase a new Insignia TV.

I ordered this remote for my TV and it works perfectly. Make sure it works with the model of your TV before ordering. Will NOT work for TV/DVD combos.

I ordered this remote after reading a lot of the universal remotes around this same price point had issues working with Insignia TVs. I got next day shipping on it and it was there in less than 24 hours. The remote worked perfectly right out of the box, did not need to mess with anything at all. Great replacement if you break or lose your original.

I have an old insignia tv and was unsure if this was going to work but the website directed me to this one. Because the model numbers were different I was spectacle but it works perfectly and there was no setup. It is also much nicer than the original

We needed a remote for a TV my brother in-law gave us. This was priced well and it works well with the TV. Bestbuy is good for giving information on products to match what you need.

Replacement for lost remote. Works just as good as the original. In fact, I think it's better because it's a little bit larger and easier to see.

An exact replacement for my dead remote. Works just like new, and at a very reasonable price.

My grand-daughter gave us a tv, but lost the remote. So, my daughter bought us a universal remote that would not respond to me no matter what I did. So, I checked the specs on the Insignia TV & found this remote. I was so happy to find I did not have to spend hours trying to set it up! It responded immediately with no effort on my part & works great!!! It just set up itself! I was pleasantly suprised & relieved. Very happy! The Online Best Buy Support were also extremely helpful in verifying that this is the one I would need!

This remote works perfectly out of the box. There is absolutely no initial setup required, provided you have an Insignia TV. This serves as a perfect replacement remote. I've only had this remote for 2-3 weeks, so I cannot speak to its long-term viability.

Worked perfectly out of the box! Lost the original Dynex remote, knew that Dynex/Insignia were basically interchangeable - put batteries in, in business!

My Insignia HDTV's remote broke and I needed a cheap replacement. I didn't want one of those super remotes and those cheap universals never work right. But then I found this one. It looks & works just like my original and it cost the same as those cheap universals. I'm very satisfied.

My Insignia - Remote For Select Insignia TV works well with my Insignia TV. The remote that came with the TV was lost. I used a smart remote but could not control some of the TV's features. Glade I buy it.

My TV remote went missing during my recent move. I ordered this from Best Buy, it came in earlier than originally promised, and was the perfect exact match. Works perfectly!

This replacement remote is exactly like the one that came with the TV when bought new. Someone in the nursing home stole Grandma's remote, so had to replace it.

A friend gave me his old tv/DVD but didn't know were the remote was. I picked up this remote and as soon as I got it home it was point and click, ready to go. Very happy with it.
