The game is not scary but it has a lot of action. They added micro-transactions and cut a bunch of content from the original. The voice actress for Ada Wong is terrible for she sounds bored. The Dead Space remake is better. It's still worth a buy for all the content.

Good gameplay, just a lot of controller options to get used to

This game is good overall in general. There is still some cut content from the original game. The frustrating thing about this game is the aiming. Especially for the PS5; the aiming needs to be corrected. I would say this game is much more challenging than the original game. The game is sometimes frustrating and annoying. Crafting ammo gets ridiculous after a while not sure why they had to make the game like that. The original game is easier and more fun to play. If you like challenges then this game will be a good challenge. I do like that they expanded some parts of the game like the lake. I also like that Leon can crouch and do stealth kills that is definitely an improvement in the game. Overall it's a good game. However, it doesn't replace the original game. After you beat the game and unlock infinite ammo and other items of interest; I find my interest in replaying the game very low. Which says a lot about the game.

Pretty much the same as Resident Evil 4 as you know it, but with a visual upgrade, but not quite the remake you would see with the Silent Hill 2 Remake or Metal Gear Solid 3: Delta. However, Capcom was smart to include DLC for FREE! Which is awesome, if you have the new PSVR2 which gives you a Resident Evil 4 first-person perspective and you can download it for free, which is kind of the downside that it's not included on the disc, but is still free!

[Employee of bestbuy] I never played the original game. As some one giing into this game as a newbie, I find this game terribly lacking. Dodge is prompt for gods sake. You literally just run around bosses hoping they miss you then try to aim for random body predetermined body part. The lip syncing is off, the story is unengaging, but the moment to moment gameplay is fun as hell once you get a good arsenal. But man did the story blow lol

This is a great game but bestbuy did wrong with the steelbook. I did a pickup at the store so shipping did not bang it up like they did last time and they shipped the steelbook instead of passing it out with the game.

This game was simply not for me. As a remake of an older game, it’s extremely high quality, but I was hoping for a survival horror game, not an action horror game. It just didn’t grab me.

Another reboot that has some graphics upgrades but over all still not as good as the old game cube version

Resident Evil reboots just aren't as fun as the originals.
