Is this game as good as we all remember? The answer is both yes and no. First off, the remaster plays well and looks okay for the most part. There are some weirdly compressed videos though that definitely mar the presentation. After replaying this game I came to the conclusion that the first 1/2 is waaay better than the 2nd. It actually made me appreciate RE5 and RE6 a little more. You could see where the series was going creativity upon completion. Still, this game was incredibly innovative for its time, and playing through it was a lot of fun. Also, the price point makes this an easy buy.

Game is roughly 12GB installation for the xbox one. No update required, so you can play this straight off the disk which ALL games should be like nowadays. The longevity of this will be amazing. The version is on the part if not better than the Ultimate PC version that came out in 2014/2015

loved the original had to buy this there is very little difference from orginal but short Break Down 1. Solid story. They did a good enough job to keep you engaged. 2. Lots of boss battles that are fun to play! 3. The game took me ~20 hours to finish, which means I got my money's worth. 4. The music and enemies made for a very creepy combination at times. In certain areas I could feel my anxiety creeping up, which is always a sign of a good "survival horror" game. 5. You're constantly walking that line of not having enough ammo, which makes you look for different ways of dispatching enemies. 6. Lots of weapons and ways to upgrade them (stocks, capacity, damage, etc.).

There's not much left to say about Resident Evil 4. It was a defining moment in gaming history for the survival horror genre. Is it easy? No. Is it fun? Most certainly, if you're willing to give it a try. It's a slow burn, you need to think about how you're going to do this, you can just run out and start shooting. Heck of a game.

This game was the standard once it arrived on home consoles years ago. This xbox one version is awesome, graphics and sound are first rate, top pick next to the biohazard release.

This remains one of my favorite Resident Evil games (next to Code Veronica) and it still holds up to this day. RE4 still looks good, and has quite a solid (albeit not scary) that is a lot of fun to play through again. The control takes a bit of time to get used to, but I've had a lot of fun with this game. Included are the special missions featuring Ada and The Merceneries missions.

I started with RE 5, then went back and added this one to my collection as well. I have fallen in love with the series and it will be a favorite forever. The game play and story line is incredibly fun.

Game looks great but facial animations are a little lacking. Gameplay as tense as you remember. Controls are absolutely horrible though. I've read they haven't changed them from the original, but I don't remember them being this bad.

Really deserves a 6!!! Simply put, one of the greatest games EVER made. Yes, it isn't up to snuff in terms of the graphics that newer games render, or even RE5. But the new HD upgrade looks amazing for a game that first came out on the GameCube. And what stands out and makes it such an experience is the game play, coupled with unparalleled production value. The music is creepier than ANY horror movie I have ever seen, and the controls are spot on, especially for a game that isn't strictly a shooter. Really, do yourself a favour and buy it. It will stick with you and every game that you play afterwards will invariably be compared to this. It's that good.

In my opinion, this is the best of the Resident Evil games.

This installment of the Resident Evil series breathes new life into a series on the brink of stagnation. The story is rich and adds depth to the Resident Evil universe, making this the most interesting installment yet.

Resident Evil 4 is an all time favorite of mine, so this was a must buy. The game plays and looks like the original, which was a bit dissapointing. For the price it is worth the purchase of you are a RE fan.

This is the one that reinvented the series. The only parts that didn’t age well are the camera and not being able to move and shoot at the same time.

I enjoyed playing this game years ago when it was re-released on PS2. But once again, its back on another console - but updated. The controls ruin the gameplay experience, but overall good game.

My favorite Resident Evil game of them all. Better improved graphics. A must have for Resident Evil fans. Priced right. Highly recommend this game.

Resident Evil 4 is without much counterargument, one of the best games ever made. That's really all you need to know considering its over a decade old. But if you're wondering what makes this release special, it is, of course, the graphical upgrades. The game runs at 60 frames per second and in 1080p. The textures are improved from the original (though they're generally not very pretty), and you have the option of including some post-processing effects like motion blur if you want. Just buy this game. It's so incredibly good.

This is the first time I have played a game from this series. The game play was good and I enjoyed the storyline. I am looking forward to playing the rest of the games in the series.
