Ring - Battery Doorbell 2K, Retinal 2K with wide-angle video, up to 6x Enhanced Zoom, Two-Way Talk, and Built-In Battery - Speckled Grey

Hi H. Thank you for taking the time to ask this question. Yes, the Ring Battery Doorbell can be hardwired to your existing doorbell wiring (8 to 24VAC, 50/60hz, 10VA to 40VA) for continuous trickle charging. When hardwired, the device still runs on its built-in battery at all times, and the wiring simply keeps the battery topped off. This means that if your power goes out, the doorbell will continue to operate on its remaining battery charge without any interruption. Please keep in mind that the doorbell still relies on your WiFi connection for notifications, live view, and recording, so if your router also loses power during an outage, those features will be unavailable until your internet comes back online.
