Ring - Outdoor Cam 2K, Battery - Wide-Angle Retinal 2K Video, 6x Enhanced Zoom, Night Vision - White

Hi Tps. Thank you for your question. There are some important things to be aware of before purchasing a Ring device in the US with the intention of using it in another country. Ring devices purchased in the US are designed to operate within the US market. While the hardware itself may physically work in other regions, there are several limitations to consider. Ring products and services, including the Ring app, are officially supported in specific countries. India is not currently listed as an officially supported region for Ring. This means you may experience limited or no access to certain Ring app features, customer support, and cloud services. The Ring Outdoor Cam, 2K, Battery connects via 2.4 GHz wifi. While this frequency is generally available worldwide, network configurations and standards can vary by country, which could affect connectivity. The manufacturer's warranty for Ring devices purchased in the US is typically valid only within the US. If you experience any issues while using the device in India, you may not be able to access Ring's customer support or warranty services. The Ring app may have regional restrictions that could limit functionality or prevent full use of the device outside of supported countries. Features such as emergency response services and certain subscription plans are region-specific. We invite you to reach out to our community for additional insights from other Ring users who may have experience using Ring devices internationally. Hi Schwinn270. We appreciate the time you have taken to ask this question. The micro USB charging cable should be used to charge to removable rechargeable battery pack that is included with your device. Charge the battery: Connect the charging cable to the battery's charging port. While charging, your battery displays two colored lights, a solid green and an amber light. Charge the battery until only the green light remains lit. If any additional information is needed regarding your Ring Outdoor Cam 2K, please reach out to our community. Hi Victor3059. Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. The Outdoor Cam 2K connects over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only. It does not support 5 GHz connections. If dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) is important to you, the Outdoor Cam Plus offers that along with 2K video, a built-in siren, and pre-roll video preview. Hi Meme. We appreciate the time you have taken to ask this question. I understand how important it is to get your Ring Outdoor Cam working at your new location. Let me walk you through what's happening and how to fix it. The message saying you're "not the owner" means the camera is still registered to your old account or old credentials. Changing your phone number, email, and address doesn't automatically update your Ring device registration and the camera stays tied to the original account it was set up on. Here's what you can do: 1. Sign in to your original account If you still remember the email and password you used when you first set up the Ring camera, try signing in with those credentials. Once you're in, you can update your phone number, email, and address in your account settings. 2. Request ownership of the device (if you can't access your old account). Since you changed your email and phone number, you may no longer be able to access your original Ring account. In that case, you can request ownership of your own device by following these steps: Open the Ring app and tap Set Up a Device at the bottom of the screen. Follow the in-app prompts — if your phone isn't scanning the QR code, tap "Set up a non-Ring device or choose manually" to continue. Tap Request Ownership. You'll see a message that says "This device's Location may include more Ring devices." Choose "Only This Device" or "Request All" depending on your needs. What happens next The system will send emails and notifications to the old account (your previous email) asking to approve the transfer. You'll get an email and notification when the device is ready to set up — just tap the link to start the setup process.
