Ring - Spotlight Cam Plus Outdoor/Indoor 1080p Plug-In Surveillance Camera - White

We bought 4 of these cameras and they are amazing! The video quality is really good, the speakers are loud and clear, and the lights are quite bright. The night vision is awesome! You can clearly see everything. The motion detection is almost instantaneous, the lights come on and it alerts you through the app. I will provide photos to show how awesome it is.

The camera was easy to setup and install. The night vision is great, and the motion detection is easy to adjust. I now have two of these cameras, and I want to save the videos, so I purchased the Ring Protect Plus plan. The plan is by location, so I can add multiple cameras. Also, I purchased a backup battery.

We have had water issues in our window well, and I had to keep going into the basement to check the well after a heavy rain, especially in the spring when there was a lot of melting after an abundance of snowfall. (The well is covered, but the water seeps in through the bottom.) I put my Ring camera on the side of the window well after attaching it to a magnetic adapter. With the camera pointed toward the bottom of the well, I can monitor the window well from anywhere in the house or even if I'm not home, using the Ring app. I just ran an extension cord to the the GFI outlet on the side of the house to power the camera, but a person could also make it work with a solar/battery setup, eliminating the need for electricity. It sure has saved a lot of going up and down into the basement.

I’ve had this for almost 2 years and it still works like the day I got it after being outside the entire time. The night mode works great and having lights and an intercom on it is super nice. Found a nice vinyl siding mount on Amazon when we just put new siding on so there was no holes put in the vinyl. Not sure if something like that came with it as it’s been a long time since we’ve opened the box.
