Hi HomeBuyer. Good question. The Light Settings in the Ring app let you control when your spotlight comes on. You can toggle off motion-activated lights if you do not want the spotlight to come on, even at night. The Ring Spotlight Cam Plus offers color night vision. Color Night Vision adds color to video in low light for improved clarity and motion detection. With the feature turned off, your Ring device will show video captured at night in black and white. Hi FrankL. Great question! Batteries in Ring devices are designed to go months between charges under normal conditions. However, real battery life is dependent on a number of factors, such as local weather, the number of events captured, and the frequency of activation. You only need one battery for your Spotlight Cam to work properly. However, if you want extended battery life or don't want to experience any downtime charging the battery, a second battery is available for purchase.
