If you've been wanting to learn how to play guitar, Rocksmith is easily the most fun method available. It plays much like Rock Band but with a real instrument, but while you are learning how to play your favorite songs it is also sprinkling in bits of practice and introductions to all aspects of playing the guitar. Highly recommended.

I have this for my son. I would love to say that he is an expert now but he only played it a few times. This is an amazing product in the right hands. Works with electric guitars and acoustics with the amount plug in.

I used Rocksmith on my PS3. Now I’ve got this updated version for my PS4. It’s a great product that helps me learn guitar at my slow pace. Would highly recommend for kids or adults just starting out.

While I don't think this would ever replace regular practice this game is a blast and really is a useful way to pick up some guitar. I had never played and really enjoy it. My son-in-law plays bass and with his bass and the guitar it is a lot of fun.

I love this game. I used the recommended setup of using an optical cable to output the sound and I experience no lag.

I needed this game again with the cable on PS4. I searched for the game and BestBuy had it at the best price. That being said I own it. I am looking forward to some dlc to learn from

This game is really good no matter how good you are playing the guitar. This game adjusts constantly to you level or proficiency so you can play the songs and get better at them. It is great that ubisoft thought about adding a tuner on the game so you can also listen to the music as good as you can make it sound ;)

Two of us (one novice, one experienced) have enjoyed this game so far together. As the novice, my main issue is that the tabs seem upside-down compared to written guitar tabs. I have to think backwards when first learning which string and which fret for a new chord. After that's confirmed, I simply play according to the memorized upcoming chord names shown, so I don't use the floating tabs as much as a visual cue. The side speed games are a fun way to help with memorizing chord hand shapes and changing hand positions quickly. All in all, real fun and can't wait to unlock more songs to play.

I've only just begun using Rocksmith, but so far it's been an awesome way to learn guitar. Easy to use. However, for the ps4 version, make sure you connect the optical cable to the TV, since there seems to be a bit of lag with hdmi. Awesome purchase

I've wanted to play guitar for years but traditional lessons just never sunk in. This 'game' teaches you to play along with modern rock songs in a way that makes it fun. Don't get me wrong, this is also a serious teaching tool. With features that allow you to practice selected sections over and over and to slowdown and/or speed up your track selection, you should be able to rock out in no time. Would I recommend? Great price, great product. No delay issues with the PS4 as previously reported. Learning guitar isn't easy but this more it fun and I'm clearly learning faster than I ever did from lessons.
