The barrel/wand has a covering that is too short and exposes one to burns.

Heats up very fast, automatic curling makes curling my long thick hair a breeze!

My wife is extremely happy with the curler. It's good product and a huge improvement on previous ones.

I have used my curling iron a few times. The first time I used it, it was difficult to maneuver the twirling lever. It did not take long to master it though. The curls can be tight or loose and last for a long time. I love my new curling iron.

This product completely met my expectations. I never wanted to spend the money on a curling iron this nice, but I am really glad I did.

I am not a person who spends tons of time with my hair. I would really rather take in an extra 30 minutes of sleep. So, when I shop for tools I want them to be fast and easy to use. I normally don't take the time to curl my hair since I live in the humid south and it doesn't tend to last very long. I also don't like damaging my hair with excessive styling products. However, I decided to give this a try after reading a few of the reviews. I figured a newby like myself might have better luck with this than other styling products. I very happy that I did. So far, I love this. I have thick hair that is naturally wavy and just past my shoulders. Due to the size of the barrel, I was able to take large sections of hair, so it took my about 10 minutes to get a nice finishing curl all over. The unit I received was in new condition, which was a relief after some of the other reviewers. The reason for the 4 star rating is that it's not instinctively intuitive. It took me a couple of tries to figure out how to clasp the hair without leaving that strange bend at the ends, as well as which direction to rotate the barrel. The only main negative is that the clasp portion of the barrel is not the length of the overall barrell. I have layers in my hair so it was a bit tedious to deal with the layers as they would fall out from the initial clasp. Once you get the hang of it, it's very easy to use. It definitely left my hair shinier, which is an added plus. If you're looking for a solid device, that's easy to use, then you won't go wrong with this one.

It's good for someone who can't curl with the flatiron. Doesn't work well for coarse hair, but it could be that I need to use it more, 'cause I've only used it once. I bought it on sale. Glad I didn't pay full price.

I purchased this product at a discounted price. Definitely worth it. Heating fact and self spinning make it really convenient for Curves.

Love that it has a spinning barrel. Easy to use and doesn't damage my hair. Leaves soft curls exactly the way I like them.

It was a little larger than expected. If your hair is short it does not work well. Also a little heavy. For long hair I would recommend.

With my very long hair this is a little more difficult to use than I imagine it would be with a more normal length but still a very good product.

Love this curling iron!!! Creates stunning curls in no time at all. I would definetly recommend using some sort of thermal protection spray to prevent damaging the hair. It has two heat settings which are pretty accurate to hair type for suggested use. Def recommend this product! It's truly amazing!

Overall a good curling iron! I purchased on sale, so I was happy with the price. It does everything you need it to do. If you've never used an automatic one before, it's a little tricky the first time you use it, but I watched some videos on how to get some great looks on YouTube. Would recommend.

Product performs good but it's large size makes it difficult for small hands to use.

It takes a few tries to get the hang of it, but is good after that.

To be fair, I have only ever used standard curling irons, but I found this iron very hard to use. It's big and clumsy and the rotating barrel is difficult to control. Hair gets caught in the space where the clamp meets the handle which ends up pulling your hair out trying to untangle it. The clamp leaves very noticeable marks in your hair. I was very disappointed.

My wife has thick hair. She's tried many curling irons, but the curl only lasts a few hours at the most. When this iron was on sale, we cautiously decided to give it a try. I'm thrilled to report it works excellent. The curl lasted for the whole day!
