I don’t say this slightly this panel has a gorgeous screen. That being said there is a massive fatal flaw with this G9 93 and the 95 and basically the whole G9 OLED lineup with the curve screen and the thin monitor bezel. do your research online make sure you are aware that the panel itself has a factory de laminating issue from the bezel or the back box so to speak and overtime the screen itself will separate from the metal frame holding it in. It’s not a matter of if this happens but when the situation is exacerbated with HDR on and the excessive heat that HDR causes and the hot cold cycles of the monitor itself, it weakens thr adhesive inside the frame, and it begins to crack and delaminate and separate be aware other than that other than Samsung‘s terrible quality control the panel itself does look good but they’re all suffer this flaw look online first what I’m talking about. This issue is not exclusive to Samsung. It happens to all manufacturers, especially on larger curved monitors with extreme curves and larger width. If you are going to buy this monitor, you need 100% purchase the Best Buy protection plan don’t count on the Samsung warranty for anything at all. Their customer service $1 billion company runs through text messages on your phone. They deny most warranties and they deny this issue and state that it’s a physical condition not a manufacturing condition again please make sure if you buy this you get the Best Buy #Warranty if you’re in the store walk right up to the geek squad counter they’ll say oh yes, we know all about the delaminating issues we send x ammount a month back to them so they will tell you. This is not an issue as long as you have the protection. They will just immediately give you a brand new one as long as your #Warranty is still good with geek squad. All 49 qd oleds Are made by Samsung so other 49 qd oled brands use the same panel and fwiw the msi 49 qd oled 5120 version has a stout bezel and frame

$1,200 monitor. Pressed the power button this morning and it fell off in my hand. The button and stem are cheap plastic. Samsung support said I “turned it on too hard.” Apparently normal use is abuse now. This isn’t a one-off either—people are already 3D-printing replacement buttons because Samsung won’t fix it. Imagine DIY repairs just to turn on a flagship OLED. Great screen, embarrassing build quality, worse customer support. Avoid unless you enjoy fixing brand-new products yourself. I included a pic of my monitor, as you can see, it's been sitting in its special place its entire life. If you push a pencil eraser into the hole left by the power button, it still turns on. Pic of plastic button also.

⭐ 1/5 – Absolute Disaster. Premium Price, Cheap Build, Useless Support I deeply regret buying the Samsung 49-inch Odyssey OLED monitor. For a product that costs this much and is marketed as “premium,” the quality and customer support are shockingly bad. After barely ONE month of normal use, the screen literally started popping out of the frame. No drops, no abuse, no modifications—just sitting on a desk as intended. This is clearly a manufacturing defect, not user damage. What’s even worse is Samsung Support. Instead of standing behind their product, they refused to fix it under warranty, gave generic scripted responses, and acted like this was somehow my fault. No real troubleshooting, no escalation, no accountability—just denial. This is unacceptable for a flagship monitor: ❌ Terrible build quality ❌ Screen separating from the frame ❌ Warranty practically meaningless ❌ Customer support that does absolutely nothing I’ve owned cheaper monitors for years without a single issue, yet this so-called high-end Odyssey OLED couldn’t survive a month. Samsung clearly prioritizes marketing over quality and abandons customers once they’ve taken your money. Avoid this monitor at all costs. If you’re considering Samsung for a premium display, don’t. There are far better brands that actually honor their warranties and respect their customers. Never buying Samsung monitors again.

This is my third Samsung G9 OLED and it will be my last. Testing with different video cards, 3090Ti, 5070, 4080, 4090 and several different HDMI and DP cables. These displays drop out randomly and this latest one flashes corrupt boxes randomly in different areas of the screen, almost like the main board is failing.

I like the monitor for its size. It easily took the place of 2 monitors and was great for work purposes. But I find it a little hard to recommend because the screen started peeling away from the monitor housing and then something bumped into the screen and left a nasty scratch into the screen and broke the glass underneath.
